Sunup razzle dazzle watchman - copper rooster - rises
 Signals first light hues in shades of coral-pink surprises

I wouldn't know what a sunrise looks like, so thanks for describing one so eloquently, Sam! I think I bruised my tongue trying to say "exquisite amethyst blush" out loud... all kidding aside, congrats for top 10 Best New Poems list - these are gorgeous words describing the clean slate of dawn and the hope and beauty each new day brings. When I think about it the sunrise is a morning aloha of greeting for the day wreathed in leis of color and sunset is an aloha good bye to the day welcoming night and rest - God's magic on display with a different palette every day.
