Surprises In Thankfulness
The first red of dawn reveals lacy waves.
The last purple shuts down busy with lights.
Many days alike yet may feature kites
and I wonder how many our mind saves.
Somewhere relatives I kissed, hugged wander
make the same meals, crochet like my grandma
so busily paint, , nail or speak too raw
I escape to ride on a moon lander.
But every massage of kittens who purr
invites like moon eclipse, webs with dew drops
and I thank all beginnings, ends and props
because love and nature are potent lures.
