It was a rainy day so I flipped through a stack of comics
My Amazing Poet series
Finally I picked the fabulous Five
I liked the picture on the front
Yanny the Zen Master with long black hair
Becca the Creative and Beautiful with her mythical pen
One of my favorites sultry Eileen known as the Emotionator
Anne the Philosopher was right there beside Eileen with her magical smile
Then to round out this team was Vicky Victorious calling from the wilderness
In this edition they were battling the Poet Destroyer and Joker Jack
who had kidnapped Newbie Timothy Hicks
As I read their words I was in awe of my Heros
They made me cry
They brought me to new worlds
Filled with adventures
Sexy had new meaning
Tears became diamonds
Winds swirled inside my head
All the emotions of the rainbow
I longed to write with such clarity and strength
I tried to flex my poetic Muscles
Worked out every day
Then on the back of the comic
A scrawny poet sat on a beach
Beside the girl of his dreams
He is writing for her when along comes a muscular poet
The big poet kicks metaphorical sand in his face
The the scrawny poets girl is whisked away
Underneath it says
Are you tired of having Metaphorical sand kicked in your face?
Are other Poets getting the girl?
All that can change
Join the Andrea Dietrich School of Creative Poetry
She will have you writing like The Fabulous Five
You will never be afraid to flex those poetic muscles again
So I cut out the back page and sent my five dollars
The address is PO Box 88888 Inspiration California
Now all I can do is wait
What will the future Hold?

Note there are many Poets here who would appear in my vast Amazing poet series.
Poet Destroyer and Joker Jack are not Evil nemeses they were chosen for the roll
because of their names( also I love their work.) I hope you enjoyed my little tale.
Some of the younger poets may not be familiar with the Charles Atlas ads that used
to be on the back of comics, the rest of you I am sure will get the joke.

Super size your life
Live extra large
At love's drive-up window
Kisses no charge

Giggles on the side
With life's hot sauce
Squeezies to go
Hugsies no cost

Big joyful shakes
How much do I owe
Two spoons of love
And smiles to go

Fried morsels of bliss
Is this month's toy
You're next in line
For double size joy

Fast food for the soul
Is a happy refrain
So O.D. on the good times
And come back again!

Slamming the Super-Duper-Soupers

you want to know a secret
when I write a poem and it's perfect
i dont share it
i bury it
deep inside of me
where no one else can see
i mean its perfect
not like this shift
it's elegant, poignant,
simplistic, bueatful
trucking perfect
its not erotic
but i read it
mentally masterbate to it
a euphoric chorus
straight form thesaurus
its just that great
im not being egotistical
if read, it would become universal
a meter tethered in clasical measure
a rythmic flow
with many metaphoric undertows
an iconic harmonic tonic
to make you feel like an embryonic hedonic youth
im not being napoleonic
its an actual truth
factually accurate
high in heaven
it produced a tear in the eye of god
who proclaimed
not a single flaw
not a single flaw
and he only saw what i wrote
well, because hes god
me being me i like to tease
allow me to be inclined to share a few lines
blow your mind
redefine your collective defective perspective
realign your ineffective respective connective tisue

"all my cows milk is homogenized
all my crows are well organized
all my sheep like to stare and creep
like to stare and creep"

but you'll never see
the rest of my secret poetry
that only exsist inside of me
cows will always moo
crows will always ka kah
sheep will always go baah baah baah
and the perfect elagance
of my literary inteligence
will die with me
never being seen
qouted, memorised or plagerized
as i will say with my last gasp
the next line being twice my last
all you super-duper-soupers can kiss my ***

ok all you super-duper-soupers have been slammed. if you want to slam me back just a few things. make it funny. make it a little nonsensical and definitly make it over the top
and if you do slam me back send me a soup mail or leave a comment so i can go read your slam.

Premium Member A Gigantic Super Blast

Live life to the fullest, my friend,
Give it a gigantic super blast.
Dive in; we don't know when it’ll end,
Strive for the best; time goes fast.

Dare to dream big, let them scatter,
Share your time with folk you love.
Care about the things that matter,
They’re precious gifts from up above.

Premium Member My Tribute To a Super Souper

We’ve been asked to choose our favourite poet,
that’s such a tough task, and don’t I know it!

There’s so much talent in our poetry group,
I’ve made many good friends here on soup

I have a favorite poet, so when I see her name,
I must read her latest, so it’s to her page I aim

We often post our poems at a similar time,
I comment on hers, she comments on mine!

Her rhyming poems flow, with great wit and emotion,
I consider her poems to be pure poetry in motion

This poem is a tribute to poetess Ilene Bauer,
I could sit read her witty poems for many an hour

If you’ve not read her work, you should go take a look,
she’s a superb wordsmith and should publish a book!

*I saw the super moon and the sunrise this morning

                   Super moon and Sunrise

                    The snow super moon
                   Was golden in the rising
                     Later, a white globe
Large, shining through the black night
                    Introducing the sunrise

Premium Member Super Bowl Day

They're playing in the bowl tomorrow
and we are so very proud.
We Seahawk fans are loyal
and also very loud.
We'll be settled by our TV sets
before the game begins.
We'll stay for the fifth quarter
no matter which side wins.
I'm thinking of my men folks
who had cheered them through the years.
Are they watching them from Heaven
and applauding with loud cheers?

The Seahawk's franchise was formed
back in Nineteen Seventy-Six.
My husband and four brothers
would yell like lunatics
when the Seahawks added to their score
And it seemed as though they'd win.
I would look at them all yelling
and would shudder at the din.

Then when my son was older,
he joined that happy crew.
I threw in the towel and recognized
I would have to join them too.
They taught me all about first downs
and field goals and touch downs also
and many of the games intricacies
that a good fan needs to know.

My husband and my brothers
and even my loved son
have all gone on before before me
Their cheering on Earth is done.
I wish that they could be here
to see their loved team play.
Daughters and grandchildren will cheer with me
tomorrow on Super Bowl Day.

I Have Hidden Super Powers

I don't wear a cape around
My neck, breaking the speed of sound
Or capture bad guys in a web
My powers have never fled
From my heart that's where they stay
Secretly until the day
I see injustice come along
Others are treated so wrong
My super powers become stronger
When I can't take it any longer
Hearing stories of bullying
My special skills kick right in
Set loose, no holding them back
My love alert goes on attack
Not stopping for anything
It won't ease up until I bring
All this hatred to a low
I give one huge final blow
Across the land until there is
No more hate or prejudice
Until then, I'm on alert
Making sure there is no hurt
I will be here till the end
All my powers I will send
Into the hearts of those so weak
Mild mannered, shy and meek
That get pushed around each day
I'll make sure it goes away
This promise will be kept for sure
Any kind of hatred I abhor

On the wall of a house I might be
Owned by *Brangelina Jolie.
There’s no real reason why.
I’m just one nosy fly.
Not to mention, Brad nude I might see!

House to house in each fine neighborhood
I’ll spy like a super fly should.
An “enquiring” mind,
Lots of scandal I’ll find.
As I fly over all Hollywood.

When I tire of the “stars,” I’ll fly to
Any place juicy plots might ensue.
Just beware. Flies like me
Are as sly as can be.
Right now I am looking at you!

*Brangelina refers to the coupleship of Brad & Angelina
I'm assuming they are still together?

---------------------
Images grace the page like velvet over skin,
caressing the senses fine as red wine…
And we all take a sip of poetic lines,
connecting people from varied time frames,
while through heartfelt exchanges, the site
becomes a family that bridges rails of pain,
love, or anger . Oh how messages
fill our souped-up boxes with personal notes,
to express simple or complex views on a
glassy leaf of a screen.
Our need to relate deeply among so many
whose voices and faces are neither heard
nor seen , marks the thumbprint of friendship :
reaching out daily to light up
each others' moment, enduring someone’s brief
absence while affection blooms through a
warm nourishment of the soul, drinking
in the flavor brewed by the fusion of affinity
as soup-minstrels gather around
the circle’s bonfire… refreshed, enriched, re-affirmed.

Super Heroes and Super Villains

I remember the days I was like Dracula
Lonely, and sucking peoples blood!
The life force of my victims,
Now that I've realized my true purpose!
Im kinda like Batman saving society at the darkest times,
No jokers just the riddler!
Solving complex codes
Messages from the unknown,
Mr strange- Mr. weirdo just saved
Gotham from its strange outcomes.

Alien invasion:
The intrusion of friends In my work,
Hard work no pay; just more will
More fire: I go supernova,
Writing for justice
The path of righteousness,
Superman and wonder woman's,
The Flash: the lightning of the heart
The light rod of the right hand,
Knowledge so bright:
It bursts through my eyes,
So I wear sun glasses like Cyclopes,

A freak show,
Welcome to Charles Xavier academy for the special,
A mutant fighting for humanity!
The irony behind the talented and the wicked,
So I never stop practicing even though this comes naturally,
Attracting medals and propelling bullets
I'm Magneto: casting magnetic force fields and blocking all hate speech!

I'm the shine: blasting across the Pleiades
Like Silver Surfer- travelling the cosmos,
Conquering planets like Galactus
Searching for more dreams: those gems!
I'm Thanos I wield the universe,
My imagination: altering reality
From the norm to the impossible
Call me Dr Strange-healing
life through metaphysics and alchemy,
learned sorcery from ancient tablets
Humming runes and invoking shadows,
My many bodies of armor: The Iron Man

A nerd to the folks who don't
understand my study of science;
and a humongous ego
To the people who see my dreams-
I go hulk and I smash the abominations,
Haters and enemies be big in numbers
But I have my friends:
The Avengers cheering me on,
more love and more will power-
kinda like Green Lantern fighting Sinestro
Man the envy! But I'll save the world,
My dreams in this battle of self.

It seems, like everybody needs a hero
and I'm sure, you're no different than the rest
You've found the world is full of countless zeros
Especially when put up to the test

Now, I'm not faster than a speeding bullet
Or can I leap a building with a bound
But, when every bodies gone and has left you
I'll be the one you'll still see around

Sure, I don't look good in fancy spandex
with a big ol' colored emblem on my chest
But when you're feeling down, no need to make a sound
I will lift you up above all the rest

Yes, it's true I don't have X-ray vision
and my other parts are pretty common too
But find it in your heart, to let me fill the part
and give my Super Loving all to you

Super Moon

It is not a fact
That the super moon arrived
after many years
And will again be seen
After so many years

It came just the other day
With a lot of tales to say

Whenever you come
As the colours come
In apple handsome
Whenever you come
As a yellow and red music
In the flute and drum
Whenever you come
Along with bees in hum
The super moon comes

And not the everyday moon
That we are used to, like our
Tobacco and eructation sour
Our brown pride and black power
No, not so commonplace an episode
Without nothing to decode

It is a super moon
When you come
As a glide trembling in a tune
Taking down the moon

It is not a fact too
That you will not come again
Very soon
May be next June
May be sooner or later
We cannot predict
When the bones and bloods will be lit
No computer to foresee
Nor there will be one
When the thunder will knock in a frisson
A lightning will flash across the horizon

Almost all on a sudden
One day we see a lovely cherry
on a deep red tree
Inside our cognitivity
There, there, upon the dunes
The moon changes
To a super moon
No more camels in a procession
In the shadows of isolation
Existential fragmentation

In the peace of night
The delighted super moon
May enter through your window
And sit beside your pillow
You may act Pablo Picasso
Neruda Pablo
Or blame it on Rio
Morning night or noon
You don't know when
But it does come
The super moon

Time does flirt
Overt or covert
According to your personality
Extro or introvert

Time does bloom
To flood our momentary rooms
With the exhilarating sensations
From the super moon

Whether a Trump
Or a dweller in a slum
All including she he and you
Can understand my view
'Cause the milieu
And the needle and thread
With which I sew this design
The visits of super moonshine
You have perceived it
You did meet it
In the recurrent current
Flooding your barren lands
Inside your chest
Your resplendent moments of crest
The super moon in our inward sky
My smiling shadow in your eyes

Our times intensify
As we both live and die
It is a succession of life and death
The desire dances underneath
