Lessons of Autumn

Summaries of schooling
   — lessons upon lessons guiding
Thoughts in class after class…as bells ring…
Volumes to consider about ways of interpreting…
As the world takes Life on a continuous spin
    — round and around — outside and within —
Orbits, tides, seasons, moods, visions…

Lessons taught that Winter is The Dead or Hibernating;
Spring is Re-birth; Summer is The Growing;
And Autumn? Well, students were asked to see
— symbollically, spiritually, scientifically —
That Autumn is the season of Dying, of Leaving.

Autumn, the antithesis of Spring;
Autumn, the harvesting, the taking away
from the earth Spring’s born and
   Summer’s grown.
Autumn is the drying, wilting, wrinkling;
The changing from acting to waiting…
And ending.

But, in Autumn, Mother Nature displays
Some greater lessons using God’s deeper palette:
To layer by layer paint, and year by year present
How Autumn’s weeks pass on
Gifting the hemispheres with her splendors
In a glorious prelude to turning with life,
Tier upon tier, into a new year.

All around, Autumn transforms the landscape
From too monochrome into blended tones
Of copper…and red…and yellow aside goldened greens
That shiver before the backing blankets
    of violet horizons;
And often the trees for awhile, may even
    lean in together to endure
The colder winds and rains pattering.

~ When sweeping Autumn begins,
Leaf by leaf breaks off from branches and twigs…
And, by design created, floats down,
Each laying on a palm of air, to soften
The fall ~

The living in nature all have their seasons…As we
Too, grow on the many branching pathways of our own,
Hopefully learning the value and beauty
In the circling of all time’s teaching seasons…
As each and every leaf sways, wafts, flutters, twirls,

Slowly waltzing down to the waiting earth,
To lay there, with such vibrant color,
Over the dust that made us.
Autumn always,
    is time’s heavy curtain,
Taking its cue to fall…

Premium Member Shh, Speak Shrouded Sounds Slower

Shh, surrender silent sorrows.
Subconsciously slip into stillness,
sedately surrounded in serenity's song.
Slumber satisfied, slithering softly between
silky soap scented sanitized sheets.
Soak up summaries of summers spent splashing at
seashores, sandles sifting through salt scented sand,
as sapphire skies shine splendidly.
Scores of silver seagulls soar stunningly
above saltwater seaweed scenery.
Suddenly snorkeling with seahorses,
you somehow become the studied subject.
Swimming in submarine schools, scarcely secluded,
you become someone's significant someone.
Spryly spinning synchronously side by side
someone special, sprinkled in sentimentality,
speaking shrouded sounds,
you shift seamlessly into sound sleep.
"Speak some sense slower," some seahorse shrieks.
Sensibly speak shrouded sounds slower, softer,
so she can sleep sometime soon.

Commencement Vote

That composition's dispose of consent
so validation's placement of content
the turf of undeniable distaff ~
complacency ~ that nothing's turning . . . flat!

What time be errant, as a scoffing's path,
forever scolding, no change, favored last,
no vote, no compromise, arguing's math
decision's intervention, lags with wrath!

I cast the lot, ascension so comprise
in legislative searching, legal draft

That values intimation forms enact

My English Inspiration

Plot, themes and imagery
Read and write
Discover summaries
Everything about the English subject inspired me
Especially when I learn
What someone teaches me
I am inspired entirely
In front of a class
How they always take control
Open to this page
Is how they would scold
Speeches and stories
Bring the English language glory
Corrected my words
Checked my work
My new found English inspiration
Look forward to each class
The English forum
Has helped me in the past
I'm learning my future
It helps me with new ways
Of how to write and imagine
During each and every day
I've began to understand me
All because of

Premium Member If People Would Only Read

If people would only read some
    Dickens, they'd know that 'bedlam'
      begs confinement, not release

If people would only read some
Bradbury, they'd shriek at the horror
      of multiple personalities unleashed

If people would only read the summaries by
Freud, of his five in-depth psychoanalytic studies -
madmen and madwomen - they'd put a halt to

what the friends of today's 'victims of systemic racism'
have perpetrated on a naive, unsuspecting West

Wednesday Pie

Wednesday shows up on the calendar again;
Before the end of school a truck comes to a screeching halt
At the curb, through snow and rain,
Belching out of open side doors a stack of weekly newspapers –
Stories of the neighbor’s news - fashion shows – editor’s reviews –
Pictures of the local teams, summaries of city council meetings
Newly crowned homecoming queens - recipes and local garden tips.

So much to do before the news goes out – delivered to every porch -
The papers rolled then bound with bands of stretchy green
And, if, by some chance, rain falls upon the early twilight
The news in bright circulars, ads for help, letters to the editor
Crammed into clear sacks now wobbling down the street on two wheels
In a rite time honored as newsboys wearing woolen caps
Shouting headlines on street corners.

One more rite of passage for news day, a resting place past a garden gate,
A welcoming front door swings open at a touch
With scents of cinnamon rushing out like a news flash;
Hot off the press, fresh coffee filling cups -
Breaking news! Wednesday’s featured article in bold type!
Grammie, editor-in-chief, and her apple pie waiting for release!

Every Wednesday my grandmother made an apple pie. Every Wednesday afternoon my aunt and cousins, along with other friends, would arrive for pie and coffee as they took a break from delivering a weekly newspaper. A delicious memory.

Premium Member The 2022 Quarantine Blues

We’re busy all day long with studying and chapter summaries,
we’re stuck in quarantine. Luckily, I like my roommate's company.

We know that we have work to do as prep for upcoming classes,
but we know that it takes more than work to make young lasses happy.

So I talked my roomies into getting, a steak-n-cheese delivery,
instead of working fact-sheets, for our next term chemistry.

Dueling playlists cave-rave from the echos in our suites,
we’re having all the fun we can on opening quarantine week.

Some guys try for invites, like we’re throwing a private wingding,
but those texts go unanswered ‘cause we’re genuinely quarantining.

With the COVID blues proscribed - get that frown right off your face miss,
our studies are on schedule - and it’s time for some serious play !

Clay

When you arise from a fall
When I doubt the strain and you call
It’s been a long time; wow you’re now tall
Summaries & now we sum it all
What a good start it was, and now no goal
Look I am sorry I won’t come to the bowl
I have changed so much, look at you…
Its not us again, its not all

Before the Rise

Mostly I wake up before the rise
I view growing sun in Far East
I view flying of birds
I feel the coolness of deferent type
It is a deferent type of satisfaction
Which I couldn’t summaries’ in words
But my loneliness get some peace
I know without your life is a punishment
I have no problem by the fortune
I am happy with the god willing
But sometime a question raise in my mind
My all effort couldn’t make me free
I am a human I need fresh breathe
Who has given me this punishment?
Who has created my fortune to live as like?
How can I say I am happy without you?

My Journey Is Not Summaries

My journey is not summaries
I couldn’t understood story of life
When to start when do end
For your search I need bird wings
So this endless tale goes on
There is no limit of sky
There is no limit of dream
My hunger is still same
Feel as like I am doing new beginning
Sometime I feel to wash my mind
Washout every story of past
Only your appear bring happiness
Only your appear make me alive
Hungry heart want your view
Don’t do more promise
Now make love dream true
