Best Smoldering Poems
She feels the need rising up from her core
Ever waiting to burst into fire
Insatiable, always in need for more
Smoldering ember of her desire
Orange heat pulsating from deep within
Ever waiting to burst into fire
No breeze can cool this, her hot searing skin
Savage her need to combust into flame
Orange heat pulsating from deep within
Her galloping passion wild and not tame
She rides fiery flares all through the night
Savage her need to combust into flame
The hunger in her eyes makes him ignite
She pulls him into her internal blaze
She rides fiery flares all through the night
His body kindling that lights in her gaze
She feels the need rising up from her core
She pulls him into the internal blaze
Insatiable, always in need of more

Our Smoldering Factory Town
free trade, a brick around
It’s gurgling, swollen neck. Surrounding
gray quiet smolder, evokes,
Once thriving factory smoke
A Crumbling horoscope
once paid it's worker's, soaked
in quiet desperation.
We are it's rusty antiques
sinking ships on outsourced seas
a swollen, bailout casualty
a fallow field, a dustbowl breeze
While children sew our sneakers
In bananna sweatshops, cheaper
hands can make, children's fate
wont matter, they'll dig deeper.
Drunk, and his eyes smoldering,
and that’s what she hated,
drinking and he became a monster alcohol created,
he rammed into her,
a string of spit,
after the hit,
stretched across his mouth,
then he struck her again,
he was a total disgrace,
backhanded her across the face,
she felt his rage and heat,
her knees buckled,
but somehow she managed to stay on her feet,
he sensed her fear,
as he grabbed her hair,
pulled her down,
ignored the sounds
as she hit the ground,
his fist pulled back,
and on with his attack,
he struck her again and again,
and once more,
as her blood stained the floor,
her mouth swollen and bleeding,
as he ignored the pleading,
she was his wife,
but she had no more strength
to plead for her life.
I think I just experienced first hand
Consciousness
Cradled in the bosom of epiphany
Inspiration expunged from my fathers naval wake up call
Calling all hands on deck make a break
My call to arms each day
Formative dream educed sleep filled eyes oh sound awake
Was our lesson this
So long as we power the will to awake
We have been gifted the opportunity this day again
The chance to make our wrongs right
I don’t believe tomorrow comes furnished with any guarantee
Maybe just maybe today be my end of days
The moment fate hath predetermined
Today to late yesterday spurned
Departing such sweet sorrow
Non the wiser
Lesson not learned
Humilities bridge burned
Reduced all but to a desolate bed of frozen smouldering ashes
The End
Darkness and I have become allies,
affinity by association's shadowed prayer
spoken of the same kindred language,
consanguinity in our devout appeal
of blackening night's smoky exposure,
like a coke whore I obligingly snort it
doomed to partake in a dreadful flight
upon an impeding raven's blighted sojourn
midway extravagances of destructive somber ruins,
obscurity's sulphurous gloom of unsung melodies
surrendered in silence 'midst dusky moonlit spirits
V enus arrives on shore graciously in a shell
E asily carried by breadth the sun gods expel
N ymphs greet her with a rich purple cloak
U ndulating roses their seed heads shook
S he covers her modesty with a smoldering look
the candlelight in your eyes
quickens my breath
excites me, invites me
to taste your sweet lips
your smoldering heat
lights a flaming fire in me
that only your embrace
can quench
two hearts
coming together
for a hot moment
beating as one

My, heart pours out to my Love
A love of today,
Helping to close the books of yesteryear
Bad loves, heart ripping past
Watching my heart break in the worst way
Now a Prince on a White Stallion has come for this broken soul
One clocked year of healing
Growing inside and learning the feelings of hate
To walk away from a past that, is now forgotten
Learning all new and forgetting all the old
Looking into your eyes my Prince
Seeing the Love, togetherness, passion and devotedness
With this new calendar, we start as one
Sharing feelings, ideals and passions
My, thoughts are of you daily
Never a day passes where you are not on my mind
I, glance at your picture wishing you were here
Waiting for the time when you come home
A life once lost, has been found
A love once lost, is found
A woman that has lost her will, has once again found it
A life of degradation is now but a memory
A life of Love and passion is now here upon us
A time to celebrate the today, now and the future
Rings of smoke drift out
from the chimney of my mind
and souls fireplace.
Straddling the candle,
too close to the flame
A fiery benediction,
—a smoldering refrain
(Grantham New Hampshire: February, 2017)
Women contaminating unborn children
With killer lungs
Slowly became our unwanted deceptive profit
And yet will clearly continue
A little spark of dalliance bursts a humongous flame,
now it's white-hot passion growing too wild to tame

A certain young filly has caught my fancy
I squirm and I jiggle, and I get all antsy
Won't mention her name
But my parts are aflame
All ga-ga over her smoldering chassis
infernos raging
thunder splits smoldering skies ~
monsoons spill forthwith
