Darkly Smoldering Allies

Darkness and I have become allies, affinity by association's shadowed prayer spoken of the same kindred language, consanguinity in our devout appeal of blackening night's smoky exposure, like a coke whore I obligingly snort it doomed to partake in a dreadful flight upon an impeding raven's blighted sojourn midway extravagances of destructive somber ruins, obscurity's sulphurous gloom of unsung melodies surrendered in silence 'midst dusky moonlit spirits

This sounds like many of my nightmare nights. It's beautiful, dark and dystopic.

Classic poem, Paloma. The last two lines are pure gold. You really know how to hang a phrase w/perfect picturesque imagery. I love the Goth theme. What is the female gender name for Dark Knight? Whatever it is, you are it. If I give the Bat sign will you come rescue me? He he he. Great poem though. Love always, RW

The fault, dear Brutus lies not in our darkness but in ourselves (smile) Captivating prose , Paloma, you have a fan!

When consumed by the darkness, it will take more than a brief flash of light to relieve the pain. May the sun shine in on you dear Paloma and brightened your world. (Pay no attention to those little dust particles you see in the beam though, every one has those) :) Sad but beautifully written my friend.

Someone should write a poem about those dust particles, and I think it should be you Chris. :) Thanks so much.

I have known many like this, Paloma. I have my occasional affair with darkness but would much rather be sleeping. "Coke whore" that's pretty harsh! Accepting who we are is mandatory to exist and have some semblance of a normal life. Write on, dear poet!

It's a place I don't care to dwell, poetry helps to shine a light. Perhaps the 'harshness of desperation'! Thanks Danny and I'd much rather be sleeping too. :)
