I witnessed pure love spilled out in front of me
I watched him caressed her lovely face,
a tenderness of his touch eased her distress.
I heard him spoke of their love,
and the melody of his voice gave her strength to gaze at him awhile.
I saw his hazel eyes filled with unconditional love overshadowing the sadness creeping up behind his voice whilst a smile never left his face.
I knew then what the true meaning of love,
she’s the everything that matter to him!
She lay there,
motionless!
Brown eyes focused only on him,
and I glimpsed deep into her brown eyes,
her soul yearning to reach out to him,
wanting to speak of her unconditional love.
But in spite of her condition,
her love for him is written all over her lovely face.
Never fade never halt,
pure love shine on.
I knew then what a true love is,
He’s the reason she’s still breathing!
Through smile they communicate.
Holding hands they are forever one,
love embraced them peacefully,
forever side by side...
~ I wrote this during my vacation on Guam 9/9/19
And I was so captivated witnessing true love...
Akkina
On the couch they sit and draw
On matching sketching screens,
For as they grow we get to see
Such sweet domestic scenes.
From solitary play
To sibling rivalry, or worse,
This side by side togetherness
Is friction in reverse.
Of course, it's just occasional
But when their play's in sync,
It's really something special.
(Though it's over in a blink!)
You and Me
So many vehicles
So many journeys
So many destinations
So many countries
Exploring life
Side by Side
From teenagers to parents to retirees
Copious conversations
Decisions made
Disagreements
Abundant laughter
Grief
Rivers of tears
Music throughout the decades
Silly songs sung
Coffees aplenty
So many years
Side by Side
We got married last Friday
My girl was right there beside me;
Our friends were all gone
We were alone
Side by side.
We were so happily wed when
We got ready for bed then;
Her teeth and her hair
She placed on a chair
Side by side.
One glass eye so tiny
One hearing aid so small;
Then she took one leg off
And placed it on a chair near the wall.
I stood there broken hearted
For most of her had departed;
I slept on the chair
For most of her was there
Side by side.
Not mine!
I do appreciate the sky
that is not flying high
the moon is so powerful
the yellow grey clouds protective of,
The light blue sky that turns Blue
Latter the white clouds,
Suddenly my memories travel Radical
The magic autobiographical moment that I want,
Turn nature in me,
Graphical
so using some magical mechanical artefact
that makes me rational
when my desire is being classical
To paint...
To paint in silence
That is problematical
A great mental dilemma that demands mostly unfavourable opinions
from people with a million reasons
I loudly chant in my house
pretending Happiness ,
this is the place where I'm Happy
and I'm Happy
and from above Happy
and from hierarchy Happy!
I am Happy by all standards although flaming inside
because my sensibility is claiming
my assertion of right
my call of duty
that demands other space and property
that I have the right too
The undesirable consequences
and my sense of equality and respect for the other
so many times my worst enemy
threatening me
I hazard myself respecting whom living with me does not live like me
I am an outsider to a certain degree
Someone who choses Art,
Writing as your Shopping Cart
Still lives apart
People compliment you
but with no glue on your Do
Or on you going through
Try to subdue you
In how or should do ('s)
and into the news
That Is Your Profession
That you despise
Because you know about the supplies, The Large Supplies
For Commercial and Controversial use
And you Pray for your comrades
Knowing that faith is probably what makes you so far away from,
Because you wear the right outfit, have some skills some writing gift,
But you insist on being dismissed because of your unwillingness to work on something
that indisposes you,
Cynical?!
You are inclined to something contrary to your Uniform
You want a self-improvement into a better condition
That is your ambition, predisposition
because we are not standard made in with a serial-number,
But Limited Edition
And God Bless your antipodal
We are Made of opposition and juxtaposition
When the sky is bright and blue
And the clouds don’t even bother
I go riding with my gal
We go riding side by side
Once the sky was always clear
Now the clouds don’t ever wander
Come on back where you belong
We’ll go riding side by side
Can't you see that time is wasting
Get up on that stubborn mule
Come on back where you belong
We'll go riding side by side
If the sun don't ever shine
And moon no longer rises
We'll be lost out in the stars
We'll be riding far and wide
You can slice it up or dice it
You can ponder til your blue
Once you finally make your mind up
We'll go riding side by side
Hurry up now hunny
Don't be wasting no more time
Come on back where you belong
We'll go riding side by side
Oh it's a beautiful night!
The moon is full
And the stars are glowing
While the trees, with Earth's cool summer breeze
Start slowly blowing...
A campfire's flames are burning so bright
While a young couple holds each other tight
Warming their hearts, as these two lovers embrace
Traveling together, through time and space
Oh how tonight, with their love, they won't hide
Two lovers forever, Side By Side
Under the stars, both of them lay
They've been together, happy, all night and all day
Holding each other, a sweet caress
While green grass stains her pretty white dress
But no words, to each other, do they say
Happy just sitting Side By Side, knowing no other way
Gazing up at the stars
Breathing in the night
Them together with nature
A beautiful sight
All the years they've both struggled
And how they cried
Has led them here tonight
It matters not now
As they'll lie here forever, Side By Side
A young Black man and a silver hair White man side by side. I looked out my window, and I saw a rare and beautiful sight. No, not hummer birds of hummer while in flight. No, not blue birds talking in there secret codes. But a young Black man and a middle age White man together walking and talking enjoying each other company side by side. Wow! What a beautiful sight. Wow! What a delight.
flowers bloom and welt, but our love will survive longer than time

we lie side by side
face to face smell of thyme soup
misty forest feels
our eyes are innocent wisps
gathering warm melodies

The yellow moonlight had gone out.
The moon beats quietly.
The stars have fallen on you.
arrived during the day.
The wind mumbled scattering the stars' dew.
Dust
The sky above is gleaming.
Desire is sent out, and love is infused with kindness.
The moon can make the night exciting, once more to you.
How cleverly the night is transformed into play.
Will you and I meet again?
Have you ever really, or is it just you?
The star sent out a message before falling
The beach is calling.

Find the correct sound
Chant it inside
It is everywhere
It is in the womb of the universe
Sing it full throat, right on, this is how it is done
Only the unfortunate have doubts.
It hovers all around
Let the sound be felt in your heart
It is open secret
The universe is inside you
The universe waits you
Only the blind and deaf can not see or hear the truth.

Find the correct sound, it hovers all around
Chant it inside, let the sound be felt in your heart
Feel it everywhere, it's an open secret
It’s in the womb of the universe, the same universe that is inside you
Sing it full throat, the sound is for you
It is unfortunate to have doubts,
Only the spiritually deaf can not hear the sound.
Not exceeding that moment of the shift,
decades of pomp and circumstance,
that Gatsbyesque snap of jeweled fingers,
halted,
like a race horse after the win.
Now nature in her worst mood,
feverish and pacing,
placed one next to the other.
Farm worker and trust fund baby,
in their red cross refuge, to
see each other in the mirror of faces,
as a thought of a diapason of harmony
seeps into the room like an aromatic breeze.
"Lovers are normally face to face, absorbed in each other; Friends, side by side, absorbed in some common interest." - C.S. Lewis
I want to rise above the clouds
I seek a land beyond the seas
I want to swim among the stars
And dance among the rustling trees
There’s so much of this world I want to see
Who will come and share these sights with me?
I’m going ‘round this bend, ("you too?")
Oh, perfect! it’s decided then…
Let’s walk together, side by side
And start a trip that never ends
We’ll cross the paths, both far and wide
Let’s do this all, because we’re friends
My eyes can sweep a farther spread
My hands will reach a higher edge
While thorny are the roads we tread
We’ll never part, this is our pledge
We'll walk together, side by side
And make our journey never end
We’ll cross the paths, both far and wide
Let’s do this all, because we’re friends
We’ll face them down, the wind and tide
We’ll stride beneath the storms in ease
We’ll laugh and cry, enjoy our ride
We’ll soar like eagles in the breeze
So come, and come, let more arrive
Let joy increase, and not divide
Our story’s more than you and I
But we’ll be walking hand in hand
Through thick and thin, we don’t ask why
We do this all, because we’re friends
My little feet tripping walking begun
To keep up with my mothers bigger ones
And quietly years just roll alongside
With walking running matching stride for stride
I wonder when those little feet outgrew
Laced up booties buckled shoes gumboots too
And as we both stand with my feet all grown
Tall as the mirror stands with laughs outshone
Looking at the grey with so many wrinkles
And as we slow our pace and rest rekindles
Holding hands of grandchildren small feet abide
With walking resting matching stride for stride
The circle of life we walk with much pride
Two sets of happy feet walk side by side.
