When the sky is bright and blue
And the clouds don’t even bother
I go riding with my gal
We go riding side by side
Once the sky was always clear
Now the clouds don’t ever wander
Come on back where you belong
We’ll go riding side by side
Can't you see that time is wasting
Get up on that stubborn mule
Come on back where you belong
We'll go riding side by side
If the sun don't ever shine
And moon no longer rises
We'll be lost out in the stars
We'll be riding far and wide
You can slice it up or dice it
You can ponder til your blue
Once you finally make your mind up
We'll go riding side by side
Hurry up now hunny
Don't be wasting no more time
Come on back where you belong
We'll go riding side by side
