As the never world awaits me,
The lord darkness, his cloak now draped.
Haunting images that appear in dreams,
Invade the subconscious, till again I wake
Complative thoughts well before the dawn,
I walk the morning shore,
How many have stood on these same sands,
Reflecting the echoes of those no more.
And still the waves they pound the shore,
Relentless in their quest,
As they crash on the rocks with deafly roar,
White tipped and foaming zest.
Dawn breaks with gilded cotton clouds,
Waiting like courtiers to their king.
Gathering round the sovereign sun,
Bestowing his warmth on everything.
Would that life compare to the shore,
All worries get washed away.
Cares thrown to the four winds,
As on my knees I pray

Here we are again in the center of the desert
Don't know how we came to know a second chance
drowning in a drought of inspiration
thirsty still we both know that we can dance
timid and a tiny bit off of balance
my hands are shaking, heart is heavy beating
I look into the endless sky of your eyes
here and now there is no more retreating
Sands of time are shifting all around us
shards of absence seem to disappear
possibilities are promises in the breeze
and i'm complete now that you're here
You're the water to sate my starving senses
The master of mirage, you take me home
The desert is not as desolate at it used to be
now that I know I am not alone
Here are again in a second chance of romance
and the sands sing a slow song as we dance
God Gave You a Second Chance
Not ready to leave this world with unfinished business determining the souls color; you’re on borrowed time! Prayers to heaven and words spoken from the heart brought perspective to what time remained. Fear and regret knowing this may be the end brought us closer than before. Always by your side loving, giving freely would now perhaps help spare your life adding color to your heart and soul.
The soul colored with Hope, Faith, and Love, the greatest being Love! I wonder have you given God what was expected for a second chance at life to color your heart and soul. Color determines the hearts purity and the soul’s condition.
Souls are empty without love in the purest form; if you do not receive and give without fear, shame, or doubt! From the outside looking in many colors of love surround your soul. I pray the love I give you understand the colors surrounding my heart and soul.
Love was holding you when death looked you in the face and love put death on hold! God and I give you Love. How do you face life and death now, with a heart and soul of vivid colors nourished by our love? God blessed us and we know what matters most. You now live your bucket list, God’s too.
Your list will end, mine too. Sharing with a loved one brings special meaning, understanding, and allows comfort taking away fear, pain, and panic. With unconditional love all’s shared. Colors of the soul glow, angels gather, and God gently lifts one unto himself. The guardian angels exit; slowly colors fade, a feeling passes the one left behind as the end has come. I imagine the colors of love in the heart and soul.

My driving I thought was sublime
But I failed my test the first time
Staring down at the wheel
It was hard to conceal
That failure to me was a crime
So I applied to take another test
Very determined I would try my best
I answered every question
And I drove to perfection
The examiner was very impressed!

Of chances lost and memories I've wept
As misty silhouettes dance from heart to mind
When once before no oath was kept
This grief I've felt cannot stay blind
Yet once again my hope gains strength
This gift from you must share its due
I pray to give new light true length
With blessed intent to start anew
Life's scars hold not their own recourse
Alone, I dare not dress these wounds
You've put an end to all discourse
No more healing balm is to be found
To have such peace again to share
Please walk with me as I dream to dare

they lay cold and hungry on war torn streets
lost in the conflict, no one hugs away fears
frightened, confused, by the noise and the heat
found by children's rescue, crying ... no tears
in a state of shock, in ruins we found them
trembling, lying in dirt, not knowing we care
bathed and fed them, clinging fast to my hem
glad to have someone, who for them is there.
found homes for most of them in countries afar
the love and silence is overwhelming
a small smile is reward to the folks who care
giving them hope and love unending.

Second chances are rarely granted
Wishes on stars are eternally chanted
I come to you in pieces to make me whole
I look into your eyes, but somehow see your soul
Your dreams of breaking out, being free someday
Searching for the answers, looking for the way
Encountering a light hidden so well
Likewise I’m hiding behind a mangled veil
My heart in your grasp, my innocence unused
Your hands I take in mine, callused and bruised
A moment of harmony, yet the note struck hard
The eyes of your heart are broken and marred
Use me once and I’m yours to discard?
My trust in you is forever charred
Now I’m hiding my scars yet you see them too
But what you don’t see, is I've been scarred by you
When death came, I declared that I could not leave soon
For I had not seen the summer flowers in bloom
Starting them from just a seed back when there was still snow.. white
As they began maturing, I could tell each one on sight
Just large enough to be transplanted that spring day
The blooms were visible in thought only, in May
The angel came in early morn to take me by the hand
I bid him let me stay because my life was just sand
Now I have a new responsibility here
Down where the flowers bloom and to me are so dear
Life is not just about the house, washing the dishes clean
It's about love, our fellowman; only a few I've seen
Thank you death angel for letting me stay that day
I'll give this life that I've got left the best day's pay
My dearest friend
You ask that I take you back
But my love does not bend.
I dream of your touch
But knowledge unveils before me.
You had your chance
Don't you see?
Your time has come
Your time has gone.
A second chance is not for me to give
My love was yours
Your love was mine
You said so-long
And I said fine
But now your back
And so much you lack
I long to touch your hands
And feel your lips on mine
But what I must do is shut the door
For a second chance
Is not for me to give.
I wish for a second chance... to be with you again and share our lives together..
I promise you.. I will listen to you without saying a word…
I will understand you without misunderstanding…
I will help you to trust me slowly and will show you the way..
I will keep my profession apart and will live my normal life when I am around..
I will keep my phone switched off and only be talking to you.. Hearing you..
I promise I will listen to you and always respect your point of view..
I truly want to have a second chance to be with you again…
Sharing laughter and joy.. Singing songs out of the wild..
Sharing experience and all the stories I had..
I will hold you in my arms and will kiss away your pain…
I am asking for a second chance.. Because I miss you so bad…
All the places we traveled.. All the places we went…
Holds the memories of us and I am alone on those ways..
I believe everybody deserves a second chance in life..
I am so very sorry for all my mistakes… For making you cry on my birthday..
Please do forgive me I am on my knees I pray…Will you please come back to my life again…
I promise and I swear… I will live up to your expectations..
I promise.. I promise I promise I will never hurt you again…
So will you please give me a second chance to be with you again?

A young miss by the name of Elaine,
Was considered a bit of a pain.
Bawdy words just to goad.
Gaudy clothes fashion mode.
She was never invited again.
I wake to heartache each day of my life
It’s been the same since I was a child
No father figure that I recall
Just the abuse and the drunken brawls
I just wish that I could change it all
Back the way I want it to be
Just me and mum and my sisters too
Here I lay no place to call home
Sick of coming down all alone
I need a fix my aching bones
Yea!!! One big happy family
Back the way it should have been
Just me and mum and my sisters too
My home today is six by four
Bars all around and a lock on the door
Do as you’re told every single day
Cause if you don’t there’s hell to be payed
I just wish that I could change it all
Back the way I want it to be
Just me and mum and my sisters too
I’m not to proud of the road I walk
Hurt to many people the way I live
It’s time for me to be a man
Yes it’s time for my little man
Yes It’s time for him to have a dad
It’s time to be there for my little man
It’s time for me to be a man
Yes it’s time for my little man
Yes It’s time for him to have a dad
It’s time to be there for my little man
Yea!!! One big happy family
Back the way it should have been
Just me and mum and my sisters too
In “My field of dreams”
You asked me: “Can I hold your hand”
In an attempt to “salvage” what was left of us
It felt like I was “Free Falling” while we were “Exploring the Shadows”
In between our “Two Worlds Colliding”
Even though it felt like “The Closest thing to Crazy”,
So “Erratic” at times
We were “Flying without Wings”
In the end that “Confused Space”
Were swept away by our “Altered Needs”
In honor of the “It’s all in the titles contest by Adam Hapworth”

Second chance tickets,
Come!
Don’t miss out,
Your whole life,
Mistakes,
Gone!
Change your yesterdays,
Start anew today!
With time travel invention,
We have looked,
You definitely need to come,
Your life was terrible.
I started to believe it,
Step on board
Don't miss the portal
People were getting on,
I couldn’t believe it,
All wanting a new life.
Was it what I wanted.
Does my life reckon
For a second chance,
I stood there on my own,
Thinking
I’m left!
Are you coming?
No, I said,
I will forgive myself,
Change my mistakes,
I have grown,
A better person for it,
If I go back,
I will keep making the same mistakes!
They all disappeared!
Never again to be seen,
I’m glad I stayed,
I have learned,
Only through love,
I reckon for a second chance.

Bright future
No seat belt
Gone
Final
No second chance
Devastation left behind
