Let us begin again
From that moment in time
When we first met and
You and I were just strangers.
When our eyes first met
and set our hearts pounding,
When our hands first touched
and set our passions aflame.
When we were unknown
to the cares of the world
And were not bogged down
by its morals or mores,
When our fancy knew no bounds
and the world seemed but a leap across.
When a bouquet of wild flowers
was a most precious gift,
When the mere flight of birds
set our imagination soaring.
When we had nowhere to go
and plenty of time to get there,
When we had nothing to say
and plenty to talk about.
Let's take it back to the beginning
when life was but frolic and fun
And the wild fire of love
had just begun.

Whirling colors have ceased for comfort
for the wonders of Earth vibrantly register
with the ocean hued eyes of aging apatite
The crunch of our feet as we traverse the dried
warm ocean beneath us
a mirror of the sky which touches the truth
To die so beautifully
as the phoenix dose before us
this repetition of sorrow
so sweetly brings us to peace
To hold your hand now
and witness the wonder of everything
that is magnificent
that is mournful
that is inevitable
To ask you how you see
this world meant for us to believe
would you retell the same reflection
from which burns so brightly
in the eyes of the ocean?

Romanticism
Remiss I’d be to disavow my love for you
Opportune moments these days arise in short supply
Magical meanderings seem only to dissipate
Amorous adieus most nights all we seem to muster
Nightfall harks to all then beckons lovers to their nest
Thunderstruck we hesitate in dubitable awe
Immortalized remembrances to which we dare cling
Circumnavigating our delicate famished hearts

The affectionate mother, whom I loved has long left
her earthly dwelling to flee
to a Paradise extrasensory peaceful;
and surrounded by angels,
she tenderly flashes an effulgent smile and looks upon
me and whispers many prayers
for a son whose face is her total resemblance!
And in me her noble soul lives with a sweetness,
which has made me forgotten that there's death...
by rekindling that maternal memory!
Before I go to sleep, I reflect on my day that has passed without dire...
by staring at a portrait, which makes her facial expressions
seem so real like when she eloquently spoke, glimpsing into tomorrow;
I'm wishing for tears to fall, but none do...too numerous tears
have her child's eyes shed to empty themselves of their sorrow!
Why cry and induce more mourning...when glory has awarded her a halo?
She endured much, and said little, to strengthen me with her example,
and will harsh winters lash me with their furious winds, no fright...
no discouragement can overwhelm me and make me shiver and tremble;
violent storms extirpate trees, fears won't uproot what I extol!
Extraordinary was her motherly love: intense and insuperable,
to build me up when my confidence was down and I refused to have fun;
and if I felt miserable, she mollified my misery, grief and sadness,
to never let me lose my momentum, to miss out on a great, indelible moment!
Showing my mistrust intensified the tone of her vocal chords...
low esteem wasn't another kind of modesty, just a lost milestone!
Secular and firm...and yet divine, was her faith emboldening me;
emerging in the form of a lovely rainbow to brigthen my obscurity!
I longed for affection, hoping it would have been long lived...as that love so tangible,
which still guides my footsteps to rekindle that maternal memory!

Narrative
Joyful innocence of our childhood years
Drawn in through perceptional memory
Carefree exuberance devoid of fears
Fun and frolic in continuity
With fun and games our only agenda
It was a whirlpool of activity
Rolling in the mud we felt no stigma
Flowing joyfully moment to moment
Life was simple; today an enigma
We recall back then, we were innocent
Smiles and tears both came to us easily
Instant forgiveness marked our love quotient
Blissful years of our childhood passed quickly
Hearts entwined back then still stand by our side
Pure love motiveless; embracing fully
Childhood scenes sweet; how quickly did they glide
We reflect now, with this understanding
We were pure of heart, one with God inside
A child once more, ego surrendering
Love does lead, with innocence following

The embers of the heart
Though sometimes grow dim
Never really go out
Only need rekindling
Those that dare to
Keep the passion smoldering
Afraid of love dying
They stand afar fanning it
Admiring it's beauty
But just a distance
Always preparing
In case it needs tended to
Being careful not to get to close
Because the burn of love can sting
Drawn in by the flames
Only daring to try and dance
When the temperature is just right
And the warmth settles in their soul
They can't help but get comfortable
To make themselves at home

Pogo stick bound for greater heights...
Forever springing up for fancied flights.
An arc intersects for at the meeting...
A much searching trip for learning the role of cheating.
Boing! , boing! , boing! ...
Spring to thee a heartfelt kindeling.
Add more romanceful sticks to complete the whole heart's fires
Rekindling.
Crackel snap and pop...
Am i yet at the place held above the top?
Will i fell to a fast hard landing's flop?
Boom! ...
Clean up time.
There is no failured time or room.
Let's go get the mop up broom.
Go through life and pick up many fallen broken pieces...
To my heart and soul, What may be in life my eventual role?
Let's climb up the ladder's steps and slide down life's slidden down
path to a final succeeding failure.

I remember the last time you said goodbye
It was a knife in my heart, I started to cry
You captured my soul, you captured my heart
I can not fathom a life with you apart
I close my eyes and I can still feel your kiss
Knowing that is only a part of what I will miss
The feel of your hands on my tender skin
Wanting and needing to feel you within
The lingering memory of our heated breath
Is now only a living death
I have never felt so undeniably free
As when it was just you and me
Ringing in my ears is the music of your laughter
Blind fully unaware that you were sought after
My heart will never be the same
For you alone will always carry my flame
The sweetest words that rolled off your lips
Sending my life into a total eclipse
Your eyes alone told of your love for me
Knowing now that this is our true destiny
We were made for each other of this there is no doubt
Our love grows stronger day in and day out
When I close my eyes I can still see your face
Remembering what we have will always have a place

So what to do, and what to not?
It seems so often we forget,
that he has paid the price for us,
so we can enter in and say -
'Redeem my soul, make my heart free,
that I may always, love thee, love thee!'
So why, so crushed, so lost, so lonely?
His love for us transcended death,
and unto us this time of year,
we can,and do, reflect and say -
"My Lord, thank you, in every way,
that I can live another day!"
And whence my time does come to end,
I thank you Lord that I have led,
a life in you, my present friend. -
Who carries me when I am weak,
and grants me grace when I am meek,
and gifts me words so I may speak.
Thus soul, alive, in Him, can say -
"Death has no sting, for you have freed,
my soul, from sin. I enter in!
For you alone, make life, well lived,
through you alone, is an eternal gift.
That makes a way for me to live,
to share Christ's nature and to give,
unbound, gentle and carefree love,
till, I reside, with you, above!"

When all hope was gone,
There they were,
Where no mortal should ever need to go,
And no general would ever ask it of them,
Their helmets, the whitest of whites,
Their hearts filled with the purist Love,
Their minds and limbs, as hard as steel,
As they stuck to their task,
Rekindling hope where none was thought to exist,
Giving us the merest of glimpses,
As to why we should continue to strive against the odds,
So one day we can all wear helmets of the whitest white,
And maybe a set of wings to match.

Ballad
Birth of Rekindling
whisper my love of
time like forever
never losing the other
nor chasing after another...
but healing shall come in the rekindling
as we embrace again and then erase
that which we must sail away from
and leave sinking down into the behind

It's a lovely day for a walk in the park
Pretend we're starting over to rekindle the spark
It's hard to believe
The changing of the leaves
Winter's around the corner the sky's turning dark

Limerick
Wind swept leaves fluttering in the breeze
Walking on crunchy, bronzed and orange leaves
Peaceful places leave traces of natures effects
Bare trees hung with their dull bark, stripped of their objects
Scurrying across the ground, a chipmunk rushed to hide
Horse hoof marks pressed into the mounds-
Of softened soil, where they reside
Evening slowly falls around the woods,
As we walk with chatter, past the buttonwoods
Leggy pines drop off their needles
Blanketing the floor with an apple cedar rust
Their fragrant scent mixes with the must
Now direction could easily be lost, as the woods all look the same
A faint chirp of a bird calling out a name
Broken twigs and a hole where animals dug
Carefully, I watch my position
Now, shadows lurk about like a magician
The mind plays tricks on my intuition
The slightest bang and bow of the trees
Knocking together as they squeeze
We walk hand and hand, while nature-
Completes her expertise
