The Rekindling

The embers of the heart Though sometimes grow dim Never really go out Only need rekindling Those that dare to Keep the passion smoldering Afraid of love dying They stand afar fanning it Admiring it's beauty But just a distance Always preparing In case it needs tended to Being careful not to get to close Because the burn of love can sting Drawn in by the flames Only daring to try and dance When the temperature is just right And the warmth settles in their soul They can't help but get comfortable To make themselves at home
