"Pandora's Pearls"

Crystal tears drown under the best velvet distinctive feel
A Ghostly feel that leads into a clear diamond road
I found myself seduced down an Ancient Silk Caravan path,
There she hid behind the golden stones she built around her heart.
She was a white gem against the deepest night
She spoke Latin words upon this dreamy sky
Her eyes were deep and the size of my mother’s midnight pearls
I fell into the stare of her bedroom eyes
Wishing to taste the sweetness of her coconut milk fragrance.
She lowers the cloak to reveal the beauty in her black pearly eyes
Raven hair under her soft sensual disguise
Her lips redder than the violet rays of the sunset

She buried her beauty, and then exposed what’s under the cloak
Soon, her body turned into rot and bones
Her fingers pointed towards another path,
A rugged road of stones and pearls
I took a blade and press it against my skin,
Concealing my life shut, after she revealed all my forbidden sins
Her lip, her eyes, her pearly grin, my last vision as my blood drew thin
A sweet kiss of death, falling into the eyes of Pandora’s Spell

Autumn's Breath

i gather my thoughts
like a squirrel
scurrying to find nuts
as it rustles
through leaves
on crisp lawns

the air is warm
as am i
when wrapped
in thoughts of you

i can almost feel your touch
press against me
a breath of air
touches there
as autumn breathes
slightly cooler
then you

memories twirl
in my mind
like these little leaves
as they spiral down

suddenly i am blushed
more than the trees
as i remember
our first kiss

i look at the branches
slightly quivering in the wind
as did i back then

as i watch the sun fade
slightly redder than i
the ground and trees
mirror her reflection

i marvel at the beauty
and wonder
why does everything
so beautiful have to end
soon these trees
will be stripped of color
stand naked
in blankets of white

autumn breathes again
somewhat cooler than before
i shiver beneath her touch
and my thoughts fade
with the night...

the scent of autumn fills the air
as i head back home
i can hear the crackle
of fresh burning wood

you await by the fire
your lips reach towards mine
i tremble within
i feel your breath
against my flesh
and i remember
autumn's breath
and blush as i think
perhaps there is beauty
in being naked
beneath blankets of white

Premium Member A Candid Rainscape

I watch the water trickle down my blank canvas,
The whole world is crying today...

Nature has water-washed the Earth green,
The land looks fresh, as if awakened by a magic touch,
I trace the cold mist with my fingertips,
as the dark clouds are drawn towards the half bright sun...
Raindrops jump and splash in brand new muddy puddles.

Lilies look lovelier and jasmines jive joyfully,
Daisies wear dewy dimples,
even as the merry marigolds seem to melt...

And on that faraway mountain, in a summer cottage,
those roses blush redder when the rain kisses them.

My eyes glisten and my lips spread in a smile,
while I brush away those few drops left
to complete my candid dreamscape...

Mom caught her boob in the washer’s wringer
Rotor made Mom an opera singer
Tit for tat, she got redder
     Pop struggled with the lever
I pulled the plug, was able to spring ‘er

Wow! Mum is the word on this awful day
We don’t refer to this deed of foul play
“Hah! Your Dad’s a dud," she cried
As with pain pills she was plied
Now under the radar Pop stays away

Breathe

This dance feels resurrected
Right down to the cherry stains on your sleeve
And the tapestries that look like iron will
But are really shadows cleverly woven to imply it.

I can not see here
The lights are too low
But sometimes things are better seen
When lit by the lanterns of the mind instead.

They look brighter
Redder
Closer to real
Than real could ever be.

We were here once before
A thousand years ago give or take a century.
I spoke with a carnelian tongue
You tasted like pomegranate seeds.

Going back there again
Carrying that same tune
Becoming crimson
Becoming other
Breathe

I lost my breath
You gave me yours
You held me
You said
Breathe

A woman walks into a coffee shop,
sits at the counter.

Right next to her is a gentleman
reading his newspaper.

His face buried in his daily
 without looking
he reaches out
takes one finger
from her Kit Kat bar.

She can't believe what she just saw.
Clearly angry
she rustles the foil on her bar
as she herself takes a finger to eat.

A few seconds past
Once again the gentleman
takes another finger
of the now infamous chocolate bar.

Now the woman is furious
she grabs his Newspaper
out of his hands
throws it on the counter.

She then grabs
 a piece of his doughnut
dunks it in his coffee
eats it and walks out.

The man is clearly in shock and confused
but says nothing.
He orders another donut and coffee
returns to reading his paper.

Meanwhile the woman heads to
and gets to her car.

She opens the car
Now you can see it all on her face
redder than a Kit Kat wrapper.

Sitting in plain view
on the passenger seat
quiet and unassuming
is her Kit Kat Chocolate bar.

Poor man
and he was so polite about it all.

This write is inspired from an idea
I recently had for a Kit Kat commercial.
You will never see it in a poetry book
but hopefully you enjoyed it.

Evil Olive was cruel and vile to her employee Anna
She forced her to stack cats which had died
Anna was distraught and wanted to leave
Damm It I'm Mad to work here poor Anna cried

Madam, I’m going to walk out of the door
Anna’s face grew redder as she shed a tear
She said I won’t step on no pets any more
Anyone would think the devil lived here!

At noon a lawman arrived in his racecar
He asked Olive, was it a cat I saw?
Don’t nod ... you’ve been on our radar
As my gym is in the building next door!

You’ve been caught, wow, I’ve got the stats
I’ll refer this sad case on to my boss Bob
It’s a top spot to find the missing cats
I’m on the level Olive; you’re out of a job!

Fiction write - no cats were harmed in the creation of this poem...

Premium Member Our Friend, the Sun

When morning comes and grass is dewed,
one looks beyond the window's view
The crimson sky, announces you
You spread a warmth, with revelry,
You take our breaths, you awe the eyes
Old friend, possessor of the sky,
you tint each cloud while passing by
O' morning friend, O' rising sun…You never fail to come !

Over the rooftops, over my lawn, over the crest of early dawn

Warming,………greeting,…………….skimming along…….

You come each day, to blush my face, your gentle fingers know the way
From morning’s path, long past noon, from east to west, a well worn task
You race across the time and space, an ancient clock, while keeping pace

And as the twilight comes too soon, you blaze a trail with redder hues
And ‘tho I know how soon you’ll go… I wonder why I miss you so…?

My brilliant friend, O' setting sun, it’s time to wave a sad farewell
I wonder why, when fading dim, you play for me, a sadder song?

Yet, still I’m here, in silent awe, to watch you burn away

Slowly………fading………………………………………gone

Better Than Ever

10/27/19
"Better Than Ever"

Took a lot of tries
Opened up my eyes
And became wise

Thought
A lot
Took a shot
And got after what I sought
Fought against torment and rot
So oft
People mock
It never ceases to stop
Finally connected the dots
I took it to a higher notch
Time is what it cost
Pondering, whether I ought to or not
As I sat atop a peculiar spot
Where many lives were lost
On a morning with frost

It's a sphere, not flat
As time continues to elapse
This is where I'm currently at
Staying on track
Honing my craft
Had some nice chats and so many laughs
On this world, I've had a blast
Won't be the first or the last

Can't let the opportunity pass
When she crosses my path
Because I'm still looking for my other half

What an adventure!
It's been a pleasure
Doing better than ever
Being clever
Through endeavors
Handling stressors
And pressure
In any weather
Getting an accurate measure

I found some treasure
While in the air was a zephyr

Never
Going to be a pretender
From January to December

I might be of the same feather
But I don't always want to flock together

Can't surrender
Or settle for lesser

A lot of benders
Eyes slightly redder
Stoking some embers
I still remember
All the splendor

God bless her
I wrote you a letter
And left it on the dresser
Beside a craft made with leather

Premium Member Autumn's Deed

Autumn presents its scheduled deed
as it ends summer with a wow
and sees the chance to fill a need
for letting Nature zzz for now.

Since spring and summer put up much
as revver post cold winter's round,
new fall's esse will be the crutch
to peep how nature's rest be found.

'Fore winter's sleep, fall's radar says
its solos must lead to the end
with burnished colors, redder rays...
     repaper summer's fading trend,

make way for winter's sleepy eve
just like it did the year before,
while roots and buds will eke, conceive
ere spring rebirths her next encore.

Cute Christmas Couplet

Roses are red, pointsettias are redder.
Red ribbons say Christmas, red wine says it better!

WRITING THE SAGA OF LOVE

Long time ago on the eve of a memorable New Year
we met while you lay on the dewed grass of meadow.
The soft sun shone on the noon sky, spotless clear,
your face glimmered, I could only say,‘wow’.

I saw the crimson roses peep at you in envy
for your supple cheeks couldn’t be redder.
In your eye dreams of our future I could see,
you haven’t gone since then out of my radar.

Our long journey began from the top spot of bliss,
we shared happily whatever from life we did get.
The tenet of togetherness we had never taken amiss
for we haven’t finished writing sagas of our love yet.

Liar Pollie

Liar Pollie

The dreadful, lying Polititian,
Wears a lie detector vest
Where every Polititian is itching,
Too see, who lie’s the best.

The lights upon his chest
Are flashing red and green,
The redder lies, flash the best,
Mumbled curses, so obscene.

So is the leader truthful,
Or just like all the rest,
A bare faced liar, hypocrite,
That we voted in and blessed.

 Silver tongue cannot disguise,
Your lies will get you yes,
honesty with sincerety, supplied,
With truth we are then blest…

Don Johnson

it must eventually come down to this rendering of truth........

SIR ADAM AND MADAM EVE

MADAM EVE walking in Eden garden at NOON
Adam called EVE ‘MADAM I’M ADAM’, come here soon.
EVE told,’ Got NO LEMON, NO MELON,
So, I brought REDDER apple, please come on.
Take this, DON’T NOD, don’t brood.’
Adam answered, ‘SHOULD LADY FIRST AND FIRST LADY SHOULD.’
MADAM EVE took half, Sir Adam peeled the skin
EVE taught CIVIC sense to put skin in the bin.
Adam took other half, both gained wisdom with high I.Q. LEVEL.
NAKED ADAM SAW EVE AND EVE WAS NAKED yet lovable.
EVE told,’ MAN ARE YOU, GLAD! YOU ARE MAN.’
Adam said,’ WOMAN ARE YOU, GLAD! YOU ARE WOMAN.’

Premium Member We Found Our It Girl

I felt her before I saw her
She had the flashiest most beautiful red-blue hair
A blue blood, naturally
Her lips were painted a luscious cherry red
Redder than the advertisement girls of the fifties
Was I dreaming? I looked at my assistant.
We sent the other models home.
We knew we had found our it girl
She was wearing a lacy top that accentuated her bosom.
And what a bosom it was.
Her hair dropped over one eye, but we could see her look.
She smoldered.
She was standing next to an oak tree that felt her too.
The leaves on the tree immediately transmogrified from brown to red.
She was magnificent, and we were grateful to find her.
Her hourglass figure I will never forget, and neither will my assistant.
We speak of the mysterious woman often.
She vanished right after we took the photos.
Only one turned out, but it was enough.
