Liar Pollie

Liar Pollie The dreadful, lying Polititian, Wears a lie detector vest Where every Polititian is itching, Too see, who lie’s the best. The lights upon his chest Are flashing red and green, The redder lies, flash the best, Mumbled curses, so obscene. So is the leader truthful, Or just like all the rest, A bare faced liar, hypocrite, That we voted in and blessed. Silver tongue cannot disguise, Your lies will get you yes, honesty with sincerety, supplied, With truth we are then blest… Don Johnson it must eventually come down to this rendering of truth........

This is an intense study, Don? I would no like to be the one who makes them slip into this "lie detector vest". If there's a lie when fitting...will get a quick short zap? Oh I remember from above, the lights, "flashing red and green":) Nicely done, Don! Best wishes, Mikki

anymore a voter must be a sleuth, to deduce the hidden truth, Silver tongues disguise for a small while.. a character and agenda most vile! .......Great poem Don.Enjoyed it. Have a pleasant week end my friend.
