Best Pray Poems
When the storm clouds boil around me,
And the lightning splits the sky--.
When the howling wind assails me,
And life's sea is rolling high--
When my heart is filled with terror,
And my fears, I can't allay--
Then I find sweet peace and comfort,
When I simply stop and pray.
When the things of life confound me,
And my faith is ebbing low--
When my trusted friends betray me,
And my heart is aching so--
When the night seems black and endless,
And I long for light of day--
Then I find a silver dawning,
When I simply stop and pray.
There are things beyond the heavens
I can't begin to understand,
But I know that God is living,
And I know He holds my hand.
Yes, I know He watches o'er me
All the night and all the day--
And He's always there to hear me
When I simply stop and pray.
I want to place my final prayer
upon your plush velvet neck
murmuring my needs warmly
on that expressway where the crossroads of love and lust unite
focusing the steam of my soul there
confessing wholeheartedly
that my heart cannot move without you,
with my thick, steady hand rotating around your priceless grail
feeling the communion of our desire come to life
as your mouth becomes the chalice that holds my heartbeat
in this moment that confirms our sanctity -

shade of vermilion encompassing sky at dawn,
pure fragrance of delightful jasmine in summer,
luminous dew drops quivering on lotus leaves,
an almost-forgotten melody from my childhood!
all these and many more…
bring the memory of my mother!
I remember her illuminating smile every day,
I remember her pray…
her eyes closed, her hands folded,
her lips uttering lovingly everyone’s name.
she struggled through a war-torn difficult time of the country,
worked hard for raising her own children…
and she supported many other children as if they were her own.
she didn’t sleep until the sick and the elderly were taken care of,
she didn’t eat until no one was starving around!
every dainty and softest petals of flowers,
carries memory of my graceful mother,
her body was fragile, her mind was strong,
she inspired devotion and dedication to minds around!
she is gone from this world…
but she has left her soul in the ethereal colour of the glowing dawn,
in the ambrosial scent of her exotic special flower,
chimes ring, soaring from the tranquil temple,
and reminds me of the peace and serenity
I witnessed in my mother.
A funeral is not the place when you find you need to laugh
Here is my true story about my little gaffe
I hope this poem does not offend
It is written in memory of a very special friend
My father’s friend had passed away
And to the church we went that day
I was heavily pregnant and feeling glum
And awaiting the birth of my lovely son
The priest he came from a foreign land
His words we found hard to understand
When he said the words ‘let us pray’
I bowed my head and heard him say…….
‘Heavenly Farter’ (I cannot remember the rest)
For tears of laughter were falling onto my chest
The more I tried to stifle my laughter
The worse I became, it was a total disaster
I got a hanky to suppress the giggle
My shoulders up and down they did wriggle
Tears were flowing from my eyes
My husband looked at me with great surprise
He took me by the hand and we left the church
On the pretext I was so upset and needed a quiet place to perch
Outside the church my laughter freely flowed
My eyes were shiny and my cheeks they glowed
When my father finally came out
I told him of the priest’s error and at me he did not shout
He decided he better have a ‘quiet word’
Their conversation it was not overheard
On our next visit to the Catholic Church
Out of the building I hoped I would not have to lurch
I got ready to bow my head to pray
And then I heard the priest say ……
HEAVENLY FARZER! Oh thank the lord
My father’s words he had taken on board
Now when I hear the words ‘let us pray’
I cringe and remember that awful day

(First two lines spoken)
The point of no return, as I took your hand
Out on the dance floor, would I be your man?
I took a chance, told you how I feel
Laid it all down, no cards to conceal
This wasn’t the plan—meant to dance slow
But holdin’ you close, girl, I had to know
I let the truth fall from my lips
Hopin' love would catch the slips
I took a chance, let my secrets fly
Your eyes said it all—we're dancin’ goodbye
This wasn’t the dream when I said, "I love you"
I pictured you smiling, sayin’, "I love you too"
You're in my arms, and I’ve no regrets
We still got this song—it’s not over yet
So I close my eyes, dream sweet romance
Time stands still... and I’m glad I took a chance
Maybe someday, you'll think of this night
How the stars leaned in, how the world felt right
But if all I get is this final dance
I'll still be thankful I took that chance
I took a chance, let my heart be true
Now I’m just dancin’ the last steps with you
You're not sayin' much, but your silence is loud
We're swayin' through goodbye in the arms of the crowd
Yeah, I took a chance, now the moment’s past
But for one slow song… I held love at last
It wasn’t forever—but girl, it was real
I took a chance… and I learned how love feels
Note: I wanted to write a little song about a guy who took a chance, made himself vulnerable, telling a girl how he feels about her... and without a word being spoken he knows they are dancing goodbye. And yet, he can live in the now and just for the moment.. focus on the girl in his arms!
Pray For Protection
“2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.“ Psa 18:2 NLT
Pray For Protection
For yourself and your loved ones.
You need daily protection
From the evil that comes.
Satan comes to pull you down,
Demotivate and destroy.
You need protection in this battle;
God’s army to deploy.
Pray For Protection;
For your safety and your health;
You require protection for your home;
Your finances and your wealth.
Pray For Protection
From the devil’s many schemes.
He’s created a million or more,
Or so it actually seems.
Pray For Protection
For your loved ones’ welfare.
Pray for their health;
Their safety and daily care.
Ask the Lord to show you,
For what you need to pray;
To preserve those you love,
Each and every day.
Pray For Protection
For your nation and its leaders.
Pray for their guidance and honesty,
And freedom from slander.
Pray for your church
And the folk in your congregation.
You can really make a difference,
When you Pray For Protection!

PRAY THAT SOON WILL COME BETTER DAYS
Soldiers on patrol-
drones on radio control…
They gain ground…as walls come crumbling down
Fire streaks through the night-
embers burn in daylight…
They all lose their minds… watching innocents die
Chorus
Well I just don’t understand,
what they’re fighting for
After counting the lost lives,
have they really WON the war?
After all’s been said and done,
and the sand’s blown away
(You’ve got to) pray ...
there will soon come better days
See the mothers weep-
their dead strewn on the street
They mourn so forlorn, the day they were born
The tears not only flow-
but, they just grow and grow
Where hope’s an absurd word that is rarely heard
Chorus
Well I just don’t understand,
what they’re fighting for!
After counting the lost lives,
have they really WON the war?
After all’s been said and done…
and the sand’s blown away…
(You’ve got to) pray ...
there will soon come better days
Running through their veins,
ecstasy and cocaine,
Thugs are so smug, selling them their drugs
The mirror speaks so clear-
the enemy’s still here
Survivals chance is slim, as he looks back at him
Chorus
Well I just don’t understand,
what they’re fighting for!
After counting the lost lives,
have they really WON the war?
After all’s been said and done…
and the sand’s blown away…
(You’ve got to) pray...
there will soon come better days
(You’ve got to) pray...
there will soon come better days

I am that little light that shines
Within your heart inside your mind
That rises floats despite dark dilemma
I keep you warm despite white December
I am the start when some say end
That little spark of blue you begin
The make a way out of neon nothing
To pave to raise the road to green dream
I am a yes when life says no
And you digest a positive soul
That cherry confess to be inclined
To walk by faith and not by sight
I am lavender love despite hate
And tender touch that makes a day
I am of peach peace in any place
Find me with ease when you pray
I’m the fuchsia flower blooming your soul
I am purple power I am hazel hope
O dear Lord, let my thoughts fly upwards,
For we have sinned abominably against you,
And never bothered to think of You.
We raised false idols of our own making:
The gods of power, money, and lust.
Our corruption goes so deep,
That we realize too late
How very much unhappy we are.
Thus, our old temples crumble
Like the golden one of Jerusalem.
Yet there is always hope for the future.
The trees of Lebanon will grow strong again.
The evil serpent will be bound in irons
And thrown to the depths of Hades.
But we cannot achieve this without your help.
Forgive our heinous misdemeanours, Lord
And allow us to enter your new abode
The heavenly New Jerusalem.
And please forgive our many sins
As we forgive those that sin against us.
Amen.
When fears and sorrows
Cause me to weaken,
Sometimes falling…
He picks me up, carrying me
On toward the promised land
When I’m so tired and faint
I can’t seem to find the strength
Or the courage I need
To move on toward the victory
He lifts my thoughts, my soul
So that I know I can make it home
When doubts and confusion
Drown out the voice of inspiration
Leaving me with a feeling of grief
In the darkness of exasperation
He pours out His tender hope
To help me find a way to cope
When darkness falls all around
And there is no peace to be found
I struggle with my despair
The paralyzing dread that reminds me
I am stuck in this place so black
It is then… that He whispers to my heart
Wait for me, my child and sing
Praises to the Son who will guide you
To a place of solace, a second chance
The grace that penetrates every shadow
When I feel so sad and alone
Like I can’t find my way home
And the path of love is gone
He silences the despair and gloom
With a love that abides in my soul
When I can’t find my way
And all I can do is pray
It is enough to say that I’ll be ok
If only He’ll be there for me
A light that pours out before me
Reflecting the wonder and grace
That comes from calling out to Him
The One who brings hope, faith and love
A joy that silences every threat
The grace that lifts up my spirit
So that I know He is always with me
New Day
Give us all a New Day
Give us all a Holiday
Give us all a brighter dawn
So when the Sun pierces our curtains
That what which we were uncertain
Are consigned to our past
Like ghosts and ashes
So give us all a New Day
And let the sun shine
Into every room
Where the clouds of doom
Are decorations and affirmations
That the Storm is clearing
And the Sky has no ceiling
For all we are feeling
Is Love and Rocket's
Set for the Sun
Come On
Come on
And all become 1
Who fear none
As Love's great reward
Is nothing more than that
Love itself
Enjoy the gift
And give the World
A well deserved Lift
When echoes of nocturnal ricochet over the nights,
Ebony and stardust fill my heart,
Erasing the sun’s gaze, inspiring the moon to blaze
With its tempting song, singing all night long –
I remember the dreams that bring rhythm to my feelings,
Tempt me to believe, even though I can’t quite see
The reality is… struggles and pains, difficulties
Gain impetus, waking the pines, the golden birch,
In hues of longing, they sigh, breathing hope
Through the moments, through the life, like an alibi
A knowing that this is the day when love is blowing
Through the skies, winds alive with insight –
Braving every distant thunder, even the lightening
Can’t survive the delight, the stirring of a sight far more alive,
Beautiful as the truth, amusing the night with its vision,
Focusing in on the secret treasure, the bold flames
Success in faded feelings, inspirations awakening the embrace
Of promises left to breathe…
This dream, in flavors of wonder and peace,
Melodies rich and brave, focused on feeling – gentling
Darkness, rousing the sensitivity of a light falling soft
On the heart… imagining the source of all hope,
The One who reminds my heart, my soul, each dream
Is alive like the seed He planted inside of me,
A seed who believes… and you see, He nourishes the seed
With grace, kindness, mercy – a inkling of what it means
To love without conditions, love with the conviction
That love is openhanded, like the dream who survives
The darkness of night, the struggle with fear, the reasons…
So many reasons to doubt, yet – the dream lives
And on and on we continue, dreaming like sleep can never keep us
From thinking of this reason for believing – just believe
And, in time, if the dream doesn’t fade, it will become a reality,
The makings of a history…
Dream on… believe, and never leave this dream in the dust,
Where it might fade into the shadows of the past
Dream on… believe, and hearts will soon be fulfilled!
On the edge
of the evacuation zone
Miyuki holds her daughter
tip-toeing in pink sneakers
her small hands fragile
blossoms opening
to the man with the beeping wand
They were outside in the karesansui
washing and raking
rocks, when the school
heaved, convulsed
then pressed into silence
one-hundred-and-seven
voices rising inside
So now they wait with strangers
in ordered lines of sorrow
for bread and drinking water
as an adolescent, eyes downcast
sees the small pink laces and
offers up his only ration
of precious onigiri
Hooded and white masked they walk
three days and bed-less nights toward
Ishinomaki by the ocean
to family, friends, and home forever
transformed
The landscape jumbles unfamiliar
with plastic wreckage
and automobiles
detritus flooded in a field
where Japonica once grew
while moon-suited men
and women gather
albums for the living
And after sunset Miyuki moves
her little girl away
from a white-taped blue-bagged
lifeless form
toward the humming black-robed Monk, his
prayers for light
and workers burned
exposed to radiation ten
thousand times too high
And in the shadows one old man kneels
beside a fetid pool and scoops
rice to carry back to neighbours
moved to higher ground, un-opens
one last bottled spirit
bows his head and offers
Miyuki and her first and only
everything he has
At last they reach the shelter’s glow
beneath the starless robe of night
not used to wearing
shoes indoors
Miyuki helps her daughter fold
sheets of painful news into
an origami box to hold
her last and only pair
And in the morning as they face
the stretch of road for home
to unknown love and losses there
they turn and gaze toward the east
awaiting still
spring’s warming breeze
to rise with brilliant red once more
new light of wondrous dawn

I know nothing is perfect
I know everyday is not always a happy day
I know we've gone too far
Letting ourselves drowned into despair
We used to care less
thinking the world is just a living place
Some of us have gone too far
letting themselves digging golds, rapping the earth
these days the earth showed its anger
I feel scared, I feel sad,how can this happened
even though i'm save here but what about others
I see tears, terrified faces just thousands of miles away
children cried thinking that this is the end of the world
Mothers cried, some of their children swept away by the ocean wave
Fathers cried, the house that they build are thorned apart by the mountain eruption
I cried, It could have been us...
now all i can do is pray for my country
i pray things will turn okay, we all can moving on
I pray we can change our lives how to live in peace
keep the faith, don't give up hope
I'm here with you with my prayers for you
