Premium Member Sub-Atomic Particles

Sub-atomic particles
the atoms they form
molecules, cell organelles
cells, machinery of life
organs, organisms
communities and ecosystems
planets, solar systems, galaxies
galactic clusters and their inverse
black holes the doors to other
universes, a contradiction
in terms.
             For language and its shadow
consciousness must hold matter
the material world snugly inside concepts
theories and hypotheses to be
experimentally verified using vision
and the other senses, collecting data
and interpreting the known facts
accumulated over time.
                                 Can matter
exist without a consciousness to behold it?

Believing in
our mortality (the species)
we have created God
(a supreme being)
probably not carbon-based
to encompass every universe
but is God
inside or outside
consciousness? Can God
tell us what to do
or must we tell God
alone
what to do?
                 Here is ego
projecting personality, exerting force
on community, asserting the existence
and predominance of component DNA.
An already hackneyed theory that DNA
survival drives
procreation, personality, savings bonds
everything but poetry (most poems included).

Mustache, cowboy hat
horse whisperer, gulag master
Odysseus, King Lear
                            salvation in the details.
Yes, these personalities individual and interesting
as opossum, bear
oak and ash
beech nut, pine cone
Grand Canyon sandstone, Green Mountain granite.

Dance of the Particles

DANCE OF THE PARTICLES

In their Quark mass attributes
and their lofty Spin pursuits,
Comes the new Cute particles
with their Charmed quarked articles.

Will they be Strange in a life that's long?
Is Truth and Beauty their new song?
Are they a Charm or is that wrong?
What can you show us by Hadron?

What's the recipe or math
In this CERN Collider bath?
One Beauty, one Strange, and one Down quark,
that weigh, align, and spin, and spark.

Six times more Massive than any Protons,
is the new weight for two new Baryons;
the building blocks of all known things,
planets, people, and machines.

New Baryons short lived, break into smaller pieces,
in this dance that never ceases.
Little bits we never see,
now described as quarks b, s, and d.

Their secret math showed their existence.
All known tests put up resistance.
Then the Hadron pushed them near
and showed new Baryons crystal clear.

Particles of Dust

Particles of Dust

                                    Dust floats through the rays
of sunlight in my window pain

                                    Unsettling it just flies around
                                                        never landing on the ground

                                   Metaphorically the message is clear
                                                        only suppressed in constant fear

                                    If ingested you'll probably sneeze
                                                        or contract some horrific disease

                                   Seemingly unharmful best beware
                                                        community airborne toxicity shared

                                   Examples of a terrorist plot
                                                        chemical warfare graveside lots

Thinking too much on terrible things
like dust that floats on death wings

Life is all walls in built up defense
                                                        Made to fear through violence

So dusty as the air might be
It's always going to be in the air we breathe

Instead of thinking about it's effect
or the negativity in which to reflect

Try making it through just one day
then watch the dust clouds pass away...

Premium Member The Equation of You

You are space, not particles
An echo of light in a body of bone
Vibrating between stars
Where distance is measured in thought
And power is a balance of hearts

You—yes, you—are Energy (E)
Energy and happiness folded into form (a)
Your mass (m) drawn from bread, breath
And dreams winged by space itself
The universe echoes in your chest
As you calculate your way through life

Your fellow man, a mirror in space
Carrying his own energy and happiness
folded into form (b)
Tangled with yours in the delicate dance
Of shared existence (a/b)
A ratio of power, a glimpse of infinity
Where your soul meets his

The distance between you and him (r) is not just space
It’s thought, it’s memory, it’s love unspoken
Measured in lightyears of silence and smiles
And the distance between you, the stretch between your eyes and his
Is the same as the distance between stars
Colliding in a cosmic ballet
Where every step takes a billion years

The rest of your life (g), the ticking clock of your life
Winding down but not out
It is the number of years left
Before you dissolve back into the song
From which you came,
Rejoining the origin of all things, the seed of the universe
Born in the blaze before time

You think you’re matter
But it’s the space between your atoms that sings
Your body will crumble into dust
But the space that is you
Will float on, between stars, laughing with light
Leaving your smile on the lips of the universe

So, you are not just here, you are forever
You, the force that moves mountains of mind
You will continue, my friend
Meet me there, beyond time
Where you will be embraced with pure love and light

Particles of Light

Alone is when reality doesn't exist anymore

Alone is when the one person breathes for rebellion

The speed of madness soaring through the human body at million miles per hour

Taking a different road than the one intended

Taking the high sprialing road

No longer a person you know, but a stranger

Instead of reality

Fireworks covered the sky

Everything was perfect, but only for awhile

Then the crash of blackness encircles like a haunting cloak of death

When the last breaths of life come too close

The only thing left to do is replay memories of happier times

Hoping not to die in this distorted state

Then suddenly reality caves in

And all thats left is to watch those particles of lights come back

Premium Member Particles of Dust

Small particles of dust leisurely float in the rays,
[Bright sunshine glancing through a curtained windowpane]
Settle gently to the floor, their origins hard to explain,
We ponder the beginning and the ending of our days.

Our lives slowly drift homeward like those particles of dust,
Leaving behind lingering memories of discarded stuff,
Telling us to give them up; surely, surely enough is enough.
Time passing, our treasures become orange-stained, like rust.

A sudden loud knock at the door--a grandchild breezes in
Bright, lovely, and excited with invigorating cheer;
Renews our feeling we had a fine reason to be here,
And wondering what it would be like to start all over again.

Particles

Particles borne
from the entropic; the eventual.
The inevitable death
brings life.

Annihilation is not death,
death rides a continuum.
A wave always knows it is the water,
it rises and then ceases; continuation.

The loss of life can be
such pain, such tragedy.
But it does not have to be,
If one thinks of energy.

Particles
pieces of you, whom I love.
I can't call a particle when I miss you.
Shall we ever meet again?

Particles
Pieces of me, you took with you.
When you left too soon.
My father, my friend.

Lover,
I feel you deeply within my heart.
My particles of life stream out of me
And rage against the dying of the light.

I shall never leave your side
until the end of my life.
We can share our grief and joy,
As husband and wife.

Particles.
Bound by growth, death, love and pain.
Bound by truth, never to falter again.

For Jesse.

Particles

Particles

Ask meaning of bearing limitless
Depository sand particles in desert,
Destiny is to bear enjoying parching
Following ghastly cooling nocturnal.

Coinciding with hurricanes and ebbs
Gathering fun and flowing in unknown place
Immeasurable delight advances always
Bores, if rains sometimes thwarting project.

Soaring high up in the firm advancing tourism
Dwellings of far and wide human’s vision
To my reply elder spoke, heave of stone brick
Glittering is that water reservoir, men call do to it ocean.

Wetting through water is disgusting
No remedy to walk hither and thither flying
We are happy in our realm
One unity, one culture fine.

Streak of jungles are human’s habitat
Luckily they don’t like us charging hot sand
Don’t come towards us and be active
Traders, hawkers some ill traffickers.

Do come treading on our heart
Being their activity criminal and fought
We don’t prosecute for trivial matters
Otherwise could silent them in our particles.

Premium Member Mercurial Cloud

The universe is a mercurial cloud.
Against its overbearing chaos,
I have only my words.
They are never solutions,
Only questions.
Always selective in their attention.
Always filters screening out
The subatomic assault.
I have only my words.
I scroll through cable channels.
I download all the apps.
How do I ponder a musical chord?
How do I arrange an ordered thought?
The social order is our agreement,
Our consensus on what exists.

Personality Particles

PERSONALITY PARTICLES

Self defined by confusion and chaos
So creativity can compass my way
I induce my world to shrink so small
So imagination can swell the day

I ponder and angle my perception
Like a hawk on a slippery wire
I crawl inside my acute attitudes
For saucy seams of dusty desire

I scour my domain for nomad notions
And for heartless people of appeal
I undress their insecurity of being
While rendering their lives surreal

I particle their personalities
And undermine each idle insight
I dissect their screaming demons
To thrill my reader’s delight

without the insignificant ~ there'd never be a significance

without the insubstantial ~ there'd never be anything of substance

without you me and our puny atoms ~ this cosmos would not be whole

By
David Kavanagh

According to Scientific American
There are the same number of atoms in the
observable universe as there always have been!

Do the math, you are part of
   the sum that makes eternity!
   You always have been and
   always will be!

        Where it all came from
#your answer is as good as mine#

Premium Member Barn Dust

Old and worn, with its weathered graying wood
The old barn whispered softly to my heart
Reminding me light poured through as it should
Dust particles, graceful, dancing like art
Silent as dawn with sunshine rays to start
The feeling grew within, warm on the soul
Breathing music in notes, hope to console
Like a flame of vibrant hues, pure splendor
Passions swaying, a waltz you can’t control
Emotions stirred, sighs - blushes so tender
