Best Offended Poems
Did many things to quench my flesh
And bound myself in immoral mesh
Raised my voice for soul be mended
Saw Your word and was offended
Came unglued and crashed Hell's gate
Knew now not my soul could wait
Filled my head with works intended
Heard Your voice and was offended
Broke Your word on every breath
Swiftly moving on a course of death
Came to church - my lust descended
Saw Your stand and was offended
When all was lost, I called to Thee
Did shine Your light that I might see
"Save me from sin O, Savior, please!"
Saw Your love and fell to my knees
My broken life was all I gave
Some believed, "Impossible to save!"
You gave me back a soul ammended
Never again am I offended, Selah!

Offended
is ignorance
a lack of understanding
silence
is not for everyone
humans speak
and do things
different than you
or your faction
true
or untrue
or stretch truth
what's the worry?
stressing
over someone else's beliefs
takes you away
from your own routine
offended
is a waste of energy
needed for nothing
causing dangerous sparks
within one's mind
one's heart
one's soul
becomes contaminated
with preoccupations
vengeance breeds furious
often unexpected actions
of ill-will occur
or changes for the worse
creep
in the shadows of good
growing
taking over
"spiritual kudzoo"
none could tame
extinguish your dealings
with petty rage
of another imperfect being's mouth
cancer vanishes easier
with early detection
MOVE ON!
or at least learn
from your polar opposite

W hen you go to someone's wedding
H ave you done so in clothes that are unsuitable?
E ver shown up for an evening out wearing shorts?
R emember the times when we "dressed" for dinner?
E ven now, some do so.
I t isn't everyday that special things happen in our lives...
S trange how inadequate we are in showing respect.
T here are times when a casual attitude is not offensive.
H ovever, that is for the mundane.
E ach one of us makes choices with regard to events in life.
R ecently, I attended the memorial for a friend's mother.
E very one who was there knew that this was a somber occasion.
S ome, however, did not take the time to think about their demeanor.
P erhaps we have gone overboard with our "casual" attitudes.
E xpectations for me are that one would come dressed for the ceremony.
C asual attire and wearing baseball caps are fine at a picnic, but
T hen, I was taught that social graces begin at home.

I’m offended by ‘ski slope,’
they should be ‘ski inclines,’
they’re insulting Asian people,
have those fools lost their minds?
I’m offender by ‘Black’ Russians,
when made by pale people,
I’m offended by ‘cow’ boys,
for excluding the bulls!
I’m offended by those who will
mock diversity,
the world would be much better off
if more folks thought like me!
I’m offended by gun owners
who protect their own lives,
it’s unfair that they show such strength,
when I can’t protect mine!
I’m offended some gay people
realize they’re really straight,
why did we even give them choice
if they were going that way?
I’m offended by fast food joints
that serve children French fries,
and when they change to apple slices
I’m offended my kids cry!
I’m offended by the government,
oh wait—now we’re in charge?
Then I hate the fools who protest us,
who do they think they are?!
I’m offended by those women
who take their husband’s name,
but happy when husbands take hers,
that just makes my whole day.
I’m offended when I hear people
say judge by ‘what’s inside,’
don’t these fools know it’s bigotry
to ignore someone’s hide?
I’m mad at those not offended,
don’t they know it’s currency?
And that there isn’t a person
more offended than me?
I take offense at the right things,
and that must make me rich,
poor folks always hate their betters,
that’s why they moan and b--ch!
Do not tell me how the world works
when I want things mended,
you're why we have no utopia,
damnit, I’m offended!

It seems like there’s many people becoming “defensive.”
As anything of God, is seemingly being “offensive.”
People can peddle their smut and filth around.
But a cross or nativity? They must come down!
People can watch acts of fornication on their t.v.
But, talking about God? “Why that’s offensive to me!”
People often talk about their constitutional “rights.”
Perhaps someone upstairs “turned out the lights!”
Its amazing how money is spent getting God “removed.”
What is it exactly that people are trying to prove?
What’s next? Taking “in God we trust,” off our money?
It could happen very soon! I’m not trying to be funny!
Think about what’s happening and taking place!
We’re told that we can’t pray in public? Or say grace?
This whole country is being turned “upside down.”
Our very foundations are being “tossed around!”
In what’s being pursued as “political correctness…”
Has left in many lives… A total weakness!
God is being replaced what is “socially appealing.”
Much of what’s in our society has no real meaning!
A person can marry anyone they want, or smoke pot..
But what the truth of God’s word, can’t be taught?
It’s time that we come to God, and totally repent!
Before another wasted day we have spent!
Sooner or later, God’s judgment will come out!
Our lives need to be changed, and cleansed throughout!
Jesus is the answer! Our only hope of salvation!
We need him now! All across this great nation!

An "Offended Brother..."
"A brother ofended is harder to
reach than a fortified city."
It seems like many brothers
dwell on their "self-pity..."
Just look at how easy it is for most
brothers to get offended.
It could be you or I... Or someone
they've befriended...
Many stop having anything to do
with a particular person.
They read God's word. But fail to learn
HIS divine lesson.
Jesus said; "Blessed are you when you're
cursed, persecuted and despised."
So why do so many "brothers" hold
"vengence in thier eyes?"
Is there someone you know...
Thay you've completely shut out?
Is this what being God's child...
Is really all about???
If Christ really gave to us.
What we certainly deserve...
Than his blood's atonement.
Would not be perserved..
In spite of our sin and faults...
God's heart bleeds...
He's so willing for forgive
and to meet all of our needs!
Don't allow an offense to turn into
a "huge brick wall."
Christ came to forgive...
And to be a sacrifice for all!

What Amazes Me How People Are Easily Offended
What amazes me…Is at just the “drop of a hat.”
How easy people get offended and “turn their back.”
I go to church and some say “we welcome you as you are.”
But forget all about you when you go out to your car.
As long as your “in the groove” and say “pleasant things.”
You feel some “love” no matter what life may bring.
You get involved with activities of various kinds.
And have discussions with “many different minds.”
But if you say something to
someone that may “offend.”
They “have nothing to do with you.”
And don’t call you “friend.”
How many believe what scripture teaches
concerning “God’s eternal love.”
But rather try to give the other person a “shove.”
What good does it do to tell others you’re Christ’ example?
When an “offensive” brother is
“kicked around and trampled?”
Isn’t it time to put all of your feelings of “anger” aside?
And ask God to take away all bitter feelings and pride?
To those who’ve received mercy. We must give it in return.
Jesus knows our every thought. And is concerned!
Why not find somebody that you have “brushed away?”
And speak love to him in what you do and say!
Learn what it truly means to live and the power to forgive!
Your life for Christ… Is what our savior gives!
Seek to restore relationships in those that surround you!
Seeing how God can work through
you just may astound you!
By allowing the goodness of Christ in you to be completed…
Any hard feelings or unforgiveness will be defeated!

I was so offended my head fell off
my independent body wandered lost
it was a pain beyond all battlefields
a bomb in my face while I held no shields
oh so revolting the language insulting
though I’m an adult I found myself sulking
of course I could grow up but I’m immature
if I’m sad I am noticed if not I’m ignored
I’ve no personality my character bores
but if I’m a victim my character roars
this is my victory a victim in need
give me your sympathy I am a weed
words hurt yes words are the worst
we disagree so I’m living a curse
look at my head now detached from its perch
speaking your mind with the Hell that it serves
we’re not alike in our thoughts disagree
I wake up in tears thinking Lord why me?

There was a queen named Madeline Tuckett.
She defied the king, telling him to "Stuff it."
He was greatly offended
his honor he defended
by having queen's head in a bucket.

Fee-fi-fo-fum,
I smell the tears of an offended one,
Be they mad, or be they insulted
I'll drink their tears to quench my thirst.

if you are not offended
but you know it'll offend a friend
are you not offended
by the offence offending a friend
who is yet to be offended
and knows not of any offence
leaving you the one offended
by that what does not offend

I don’t know how but I messed things up with you
funny thing is you messed it up too
I could tell you things about you
you could tell me things I do
Let’s be honest it’s too late to be honest
waited too long now
what was wrong has gone
two men couldn’t mend a friendship because two men got offended
Both eager to talk their own angle both too angry to hear and help handle
both reeling their own problems there’s no seeing beyond them
conversations nope,
confrontation, smoke dope
passing situations
so friendship wasn’t broke
Sober up alone
more confusion
stress prone
collision as both prioritise their own but never be addressed
suppressed
no sorry would fly
both think why?
needing each other on side
best friends for life
denied
put those inward questions
outward would have never said goodbye

You do not value me around, you’re alone
For all your life, alone-in-company
You call it family, but you are on your own
Love is a game you sometimes play, or played for me
Why did you choose me a few years ago?
If you can’t keep a word you voluntary give
No good deed goes unpunished kind of show
I get, cause all my love you can’t forgive
You’d be offended at my place, I’m sure
You wouldn’t expect from me what you can do
So your experience to bring pain looks poor
It is one-sided, and I bet you know its true
Return to me! I know you never meant
To lose me, like an earring that fell
Into the slot of time you never spent
But when you find it, nothing it can tell.
