           Still and motionless, aye!
We prisoners in endless lockdowns lie.

Dreams of life, as it once used to be.
           Days, sparkled with magnanimity.

When mouths were not gagged and children ran and played.
Those days, ah, never coming back, we live in media haze.

Now the chains grow yet heavier, yet tighter.
It's even hard to be a verbal fighter.

Punishment in wait for all who question.
How dare we disregard divine government direction?

People like me who speak and think for themselves,
In any form, our poems are read, but comments...shelved!

Truth telling is so very despised!
Punishment for anyone such as I, is always nigh!

Evil walks the earth disguised as good.
           In all countries, all neighborhoods.

You cannot laugh true evil away.
For your tears, swell, in your eyes and your unique,
           Godspeed Soul Bay.

We weep for the dead, but are we truly alive?
Life, still and motionless, in penumbrad, masked,
           poioned lockdown disguise.

Motionless

It looked such a sorry sight
Standing in the shed
Covered in rust and dust
With just a trace of red

A vibrant red with a flash of black
Across the outside door
No sign of this embellishment
As the car sinks into the floor of the shed

A car that has lost its glory
Stands motionless and dead
This old car was my pride and joy
Many moons ago

It's going to be a wrench
To see this vehicle go
Even though the seats are worn
As are the tyres, gears and brakes

When the engine is turned on
A dreadful noise it makes
Smoke billows everywhere
The muffler has snuffed it

Mice have made their home in there
Which they must soon all exit
Broken windscreen, windows scratched
Doors all buckled and dented

Tattered stickers on the car
Air freshener that once was scented
I suppose it's true or so it's said
Everything has its day

This was my thinking
As the car was towed away
To the wreckers. a graveyard for most
One wonders if those worn-out cars
Become angels or ghosts

The frost is in my toes,
                                         riming the up tilted boulders,
and twinkling the night sky,
                                                  like a cold breath blown
and whooshing clear off the plateau into the arms
of the universe.
                              Ah, standing still is spinning
all axis in step to be motion free except the heated
breath of the stars condensing and exploding.
Just diamonds or dewdrops,
                                                   a taste of eternity
swallowed.
                     Analyzed.
                                        Understood.
                                                                 And gone.
Me scrunching down, counting the meter
until full exposure.
                                  Listening for the mating cries
of crickets absent in the last dying down of autumn.
I hold onto my self, then.
                                               Great big hug and release.
Fall into the tumble of earth churned rock.
                                                                             No one
but me
to see the castaway burning through
to my side. Call them meteorite, spore, seed planted
for tomorrow traveling the empty spaces of time
wondering when, how, where the tick tick tick
of radiation
changes our bodies and our minds.
To be melted down, patted onto others, cataclysmic
blown and find a way to solidify, decorate
                                                                             and blaze.

A velvet hushed glow.
A subtle fragrance,
A warm wind swept flow.
A motionless dance.
Body hugging petals;
Natures beauty settles.

Death Took Toll On My Father

He was reclining cold and motionless
Silence reigned as it signalled a torment
I prostrated and remained quiet, wordless
My mother's elegy evoked lament.
As the days passed, he started deforming
Lifeless body lay hardened but mounted,
To the neighbours gathered, went informing
Of the subtlety of very life, bewitched.

Kinsfolk followed you till crematorium
With prayers of praise in warm condolence
Soul shall find solace with honorarium
Through your religious deeds in governance
As the bodily disappearance calls,
Just flash of fiery ignition that brawls.

Motionless But Still

All my restraints repealed.,
just because her alec eyes..
I just lipped her lips,
passionately and
against all lies.

She Stood.,
motionless but still..,
or without any skill,
may be her modesty,
or in absence of some thrill.
My eyes get closed..,
and I felt an unknown
glue between mine and her's,
The moment , which
I waited a long..
silently whispers.

When I opened my sight.,
All my sentiments .,
shed away in a single go.,
It was her daguerreotype....
Mery was married to John.,
some..
eight decades ago.

Motionless Shantelle

Motionless Shantelle
(The name Shantelle derives from the French meaning “stone, stony place)

This is the story of girl called Ashima,
a beautiful Yi maiden and her beloved Ahei
Behind mountains in her own land of Shilin
beneath the moon, beyond an azure sky
yet another love story in twist of stars
captivated a rose to a jagged numbness,
to a human rock frozen in Forest of Stones*,
hard and strong forever, unmoved, unchanged.

Shimmering glassy eyes in shred of light,
her blank stare still writhing in pain,
her tears perhaps, washed away in rain.
Feelings dont touch, a dungeon remains.
A soul of stone, motionless Shantelle,
drowned deep, in her own wishing well.
A kerchief on her head, basket on her back
Ashima, the legend, still stands there.
awake in music of a dear lovesong,
tethered in solitude , a life so unfair.

*
Stretched in China's Yunnan province, the giant limestone pillars of the Shilin Stone Forest are sometimes called the "first natural wonder of the world," carved by rain, wind and seismic activity for millions of years.
According to the legend of Ashima, one slender rock is actually the frozen figure of a young woman. When Ashima refused to marry the village leader’s son, Azhi, he decided to kidnap her. To win her back, Ashima’s love, Ahei, challenged Azhi to a singing contest. After 3 days and 3 nights of singing, Ahei finally won the contest and Ashima was released. But Azhi later drowned Ashima in a flood. She is believed to protect the Sani people, but more than that, she serves as a symbol of the power to choose who you marry, and of happiness.

Motionless

She arose from bed, in dead of night.
Darkness filling the mind of youth,
her eyes cold as blades surround.

The wind howling in the depth of night, as she lay covered with terror.
Pain filled the body, as stress flows away.
The storm shows the darkness and emptiness inside.
She lay paralyzed as the darkness steals her away.
The motionless body cold to touch, and burns to look...

Root
self-worth
mild ascend
from earth, to sky,
trip without moving.
world is a high love chord.
in a state of unmatched mirth
Hearts may wander, and life unfolds
break the mold of our unwise nightmare.
bounty of thoughtful sprinkling and motion
shades of sight carried by the divine stream,
filling oneself with fairness and faith.
stand this route in braced quietness
merely choosing for time frame,
brand of our deep psyche,
turn down craving pangs
serve our life part
slenderness
fearless
bliss
thrill
set back
which you could
to board watchful,
making us feel good
whispering in low gasps,
cosmic awareness as mind
complying with the ambition
allows love to rule over our deeds,
Spectroscopic, motionless adventure.

Motionless

Upon one and the same
motionless Mountain,

       we leave faint foot trails
       that are soon forgotten.

Beneath one and the same
motionless Moon,

       we cast moving shadows
that are gone, oh, so soon.

Motionless

If time could stand still, I'd freeze it here,
So you'd always hold me, close and near.
In your arms, where I am meant to be,
Filled with the perfect love you've given me.

A bond so strong, a hold so tight,
To know you're the one, my "Mr. Right".
A blessing sent from up above,
In you I've found my one true love.

Our lives intertwined to be as one,
Upon this journey, we've just begun.
Where you and I will find no less,
than eternal love and happiness.
