When I Pass

when i pass
i will linger on in a few memories
a few nanoseconds in man's history
place no stone above me
with some name easily forgotten
never bury me in the earth
in some hollowed-out cavity
waiting for some delusional day
when cemeteries reach some prophecy
looking like a Wack-A-Mole celebration
cremate me and scatter the ashes
in some pleasant meadow
where i may luxuriate in bathing
in the Bose-Einstein condensation
as the sun rises with the solar wind
perchance an ash lights upon a blossom
a bee gathers pollen
i cling to its toil and escape in flight
hither and dither on the hives path
let me spend a full moon
in silvery shadows that dance
amidst the mockingbirds' song of the night
or rejoice in a tempest roaring
as the trees dance in God's metronome
His power dancing across the sky
in a glorious burst of light
please a meadow of promised halcyon days
where the mortal is scattered in gratitude
of what was so miraculous
to touch, to see, to taste, to smell
blessed with the senses
yet the grandest of them all
for i was given an entitlement
graced with the gift to love
in that first breath was my eternity
when the sun runs dry and expands
all have perished at Jupiter's gates
let my mortal existence return
from which it sprang
the fruition of that breath is home
where space and time harbor no path
where it was commanded
let there be light

Premium Member What a Wondorous Garden

Who would have known,
that such beautiful flowers,
could grow from a place of darkness?
Yet these flowers sprouted out of your pain and suffering.

I walk breathlessly through your garden,
inhaling the heady aroma.
I listen to words spoken,
feeling the gentle touch tickle my ears.
When I see the color of your dreams,
my heart celebrates your magnificence.
My rejuvinated spirit rises with your scent,
Still I am securely tethered by your roots.
You cradle me in delicate petals,
giving security to my soul.

I lay down upon your soil,
listening to your flowers whispering.
Your moisture,
soaks into my skin.
Your essence lives within my pores.
There is a rhythm,
for you are organic,
ever changing,
subtle and bold.
You are both serene and demanding!

I am constantly surprised,
as you transform before my eyes.
You are my oasis of softness.
You are my place of comfort and renewal.
The rebirth of my joy,
a safe haven beyond life's storms.
Yours is a magical Garden,
blooming in all seasons.

I will tend to your garden,
removing the weeds,
watering and nurturing your seeds.
Let me luxuriate in your soil,
for I long to be your source of light.
Let me filter through your atmosphere.
For should I live a million years
Not once would I ever wish,
to leave your garden.

Premium Member A Decadently Decadent Love

The definition for the word decadent in this poem is the following: extremely
pleasing

The synonyms you can have in mind are the following: unrestrained and
shameless

I want to indulge in this love
To arrive at its very core
I want that delectable taste
The pleasure that it has in store

I want to revel in opulence
Luxuriate in comfort fine
To savor its decadent treats
Indulging in what is sublime

I want to relish its sweetness
To take in and not abstain
I want to be ravished by love
To give in to pleasure and pain

I want to be wild, uncontrolled
Glutted in a wanton excess
To be obsessively taken
Have my inner woman undress

Like richest silky smooth chocolate
I'll tempt, tantalize, and I'll tease
Making love to be what I want
To melt in my need to appease

Decadently decadent love
Is all that my heart and soul crave
To be lost in time and in place
To drown in a love that can save

Premium Member Nowhere

Nowhere is a place
that comes up blank
on google maps
but you go there everyday,
walk the streets,
catch a train, buy lunch
at the same cafe.
Everything there is a clever
counterfeit, a construct
of your mind.

Nowhere is a place
where you can hide,
where shadows luxuriate
and thoughts have doors
so you can slip away
without being seen.
It's the place you know,
the stalled halfway point
where a lifetime
can be spent shuffling
dead end streets between
where you are and where
you want to go.

Premium Member Noises

The noises of the day run rampant
A crow's caw incessant
Clouds float softly across the sky
Soon followed by cold front

Just soak in the beauty of sky
Feel the warmth of sunshine
Luxuriate in nature's gifts of peace
Brought by God's divine design

Premium Member A Gentle Rain

The world feels cleansed
After a gentle spring rain
Before July’s monster humidity takes over
Cat and I luxuriate in the freshness

A silent commune
Reverent appreciation
He nuzzles my arm affectionately.
Licked by his sandpaper tongue, I feel loved.

We sit without uttering a sound
Two souls in April
Feeling the gloriousness
of God’s gentle rain

How To Destress In Modern Life Part 1

EDIT
Oct 4
Part 1. How to destress in modern life
https://youtu.be/dzbLuLzMWE4

A delicious languor steals over one
in the languid twilight falling over the meadow
Watching tiny animated spectrums
               whirring in the after glow
      Flitting among pretty petals
the gossamer-winged dragon-flies or mayflies
     Fluttering among delicate filaments
                  the fine and flimsy butterflies.
           Then also retire to admire
exquisite darting damselflies
All in all some of nature's soothing balms.
Created by God Himself, Nature calms.

Divine holistic bonuses for relaxation...
        Look for getaways, away from
            city/town noise pollution.

                A lavender sprinkled jacuzzi,
rose petals and jasmines floating about
like do lotus and lilies on ponds
right in your bubbly scented bubble-bath
As ambient soft gleams of moon beams
       seep in through translucent glass.
Luxuriate in the ephemeral,
                  inhale the aromatic
incenses of perfumery, oils and essential oils
Bathe in invigorating spa, joys euphoric
listening to choirs of cicada music
Relax and unwind in the famed Turkish Bath
wherein to indulge yourself
                 in steamy massage
Complete with the charm of the exotic
even if you don't live in Turkey or aren't Turkish.
Nature and such baths all God created or inspired,
       and thus very very therapeutic...

Premium Member This Is Who I Am

I am...

a lamb of the Good Shepherd; seeking to love and follow him more faithfully

the husband of my college sweetheart; with her, I hold a winning lottery ticket

a family man; seeking to make my clan a place to thrive, a safe haven for all

a hard worker; seeking to pour heart, soul, strength and mind into each task

an empathetic friend; seeking to acknowledge pain and help you find your way

a waistwatcher; seeking that enigmatic perfect ratio of flavor to calorie count

an aficionado of nature's beauty; seeking moon rises, waterfalls, and sunsets

a trail maven; seeking to conquer unattained summits and enjoy unseen vistas

a pedal pusher; seeking to luxuriate in the great outdoors by cycling through it

a careful arranger of words; seeking to write poetry qualifying as transcendent

a student of the arts; seeking to divine their secrets and know myself better

a creator of music; seeking to be a blessing, mindful of those far more talented

a lover of humor; seeking to laugh at myself, and 'dish' with a wink and smile

a player of games; seeking camaraderie over a win, fellowship over high score

a solver of puzzles; seeking to use math and science to comprehend my world

a connoisseur of the fine wine of baseball; seeking that elusive championship

a perceiver; seeking to heal with a compassionate ear and encouraging word
.....
I am blessed and grateful to be alive and loved by such wonderful people
I am a zoo of many animals; come by some time and find one you like!

JOURNAL VI – Tangled
In Seclusion

Looking through
various American Art
Reviews
I find I’m drawn to
the country rustic
scene –
A stream, or lake,
uncluttered
A thatched hut or
neat, plain farm
house (oh not
      too neat – a
place to luxuriate
in undisturbed
      comfort)
A small boat to
determine,
waterside, the
lake’s
      size
And, of course,
delicious greenery,
wild flowers
Some domestic beasts
perhaps -
Though the lake may
be a clear cerulean
My total scene may
be cluttered,
pinched
      together,
A veritable super
sundae for the eye
Why this favorite
canvas?
Being city-raised
might be an answer –
though
      mine a certain
benign type of
clutter,
That removed from
city turmoil,
By protective trees
and hills, with a
few distant
      billowing,
unthreatening clouds
In these last few I
would find a
peaceful
      freshness
tangled in seclusion
To renew a fading
spirit

Catch Me

Spontaneous and unannounced
They eschew the simmer
Only to emerge with the rage of a boil
These tempestuous thoughts
Dance brazen atop amber blue flames
They luxuriate inside the walls of my mind
Finding blossom in my impuissant fury
A tiresome firefight of blank rounds
I drop my knees to the Earth
As to increase my glare to the Heavens
This constant debate over rule of my ethos
Hangs with unforgiving weight
Like an empty medallion
Tearing at my aching fleshy nape
Will it ever End?

Beginning now
To see resplendence
Trees whisper to me from their towers
An aria of peace
Mellifluous echoes ring bright like harps in the wind
The emerald leaflets dazzle like sanguine doves after battle
I jolt back to my feet
Sparked by the vivid hues of a lifetime
The same ones the Reaper tries to collect
I believe I can now reach the cottony peaks above
As they sail along the foamy waves
Of richly azure sky
That I can see so clearly now

This pendulum of thoughts
Swings perpetual
In and out of halcyon days
With blithe disregard for my Eden
But yet I wait
I wait for an infinitude
Then I wait for another moment still
I wait like an old man waiting for the train to bring back his wife from the After
Staring down the tracks as they fade into the dark
Dark as a raven's feathers
Not daunting
But certainly full of the unknown

Finally
These thoughts of mine
Exhale like a mist
One that sprinkles fierce
Like fresh water
Striking off the wings of a hummingbird
Who flies indomitable through walls of sullen rain
I do my best to catch the bursts of Essence
And capture them on scrolls
Where they can live soundly
Forever roaring

Sometimes quietly I ponder
Maybe these thoughts escape
Reticent bastions deep within the fog
To be my Guardians
Steadfast and unfazed
If only to catch me one more time
Catch me from seeing only one color
Blank
Catch me from hearing only one sound
Harsh
Catch me from smelling only one scent
Nothing
Catch me from tasting only one flavor
Hate
Catch me from feeling only one feeling
Dead

Yes it is the thoughts that catch me
They do it without reason
They do it without question
They do it because they are me

I catch myself everyday
And I will continue to do so
As long as my thoughts can breathe.

Sinful Desires

Hypnotize me
Covet me with sinful eyes
Luxuriate in my ocean
For
It is only you and I
My lustrous skin begs for you
It melts with the heat of your touch
Transcending my borders
Trespassing beyond all other temptations
You deliver me unto my fantasies
Forever and ever
I am yours

Premium Member Rainbow Days

Your smile illuminates
The darkest parts in me.
Leather bag draped
Over your brown tweed jacket.
Your silver lapel badge,
Winks in the sunshine.
The scent of your perfume
Drifts on the breeze.
I want to hold you, to love you.
Your eyes, like cool, blue, pools
Invite me to dive, to luxuriate
In the depths of your beautiful soul.

When all the bombs have fallen
And life has crushed the stars,
I will remember those rainbow days,
The sun and soft rain on your face,
Your strength, your beauty, your grace.
And love will flood the arid ruins
Of a lost and empty life.

Passionate Predators

Restless soccer moms,
whose kittens have all become mature,
got plenty of suburban boredom
Time enough for sure
to get hooked on every advertised lure
As daytime soaps and gossip kitsch
are the mundane, daily double feature
So they buy themselves some
beautiful, youthful promises,
packaged in a slick cardio video
Victoria got some bedroom secrets
that frustrated spouses wanna know
Put the proper promotional letters
in the slotted payment space
Then they sit back and anticipate,
let that warm scented water luxuriate
their uncaged primal thoughts:
That lackluster romantic routine
with the half-interested spouse
has become so very predictable
Mannequin lovemaking so emotional sterile
When expedited delivery late evening come,
they strike their favorite sexy pose,
in their most come-hither revealing clothes
But such meticulously planned foreplay
gets the usual NITM treatment today
This last straw has stirred these tigress spirits,
but not in a good way
When the Good Wives Club start breaking bad,
there’s gonna be divorce hell to pay
Those Ladies Night Out
now grinds to an adulterous sway

Neglected desires are maritally hated,
lost fidelity mourned in Goth black
Intimacy ignored is so cold calculated;
bad math, write digits for call back

Cougars don’t like being domesticated,
coyote ugly do love to run in a pack
Foxy motives ain’t hen house overrated,
passionate predators are on the attack

Suburban lionesses on a stag hunting mission,
got dark jaguar urban jungle keen night vision
Painted panthers on a one-night-stand prowl,
coy cheetahs moving fast with their claws out,
Hot, feral women with cougar pent-up emotions,
are lethal loving leopards with spotted devotions

Passionate predators,
only lascivious hearts dare venture
If you got a taste for the forbidden,
then you got a wish to be eaten
