Best Ludicrous Poems
Yellowstone in winter. Canyon Falls, Rutherford Park, Old Faithful. Of all the places we had ever visited, this was his favorite. Josh even named one of the elk after his mother. It was while enroute to Rutherford that we encountered the cow, along with her two calves. Blocking the road, she looked up at us as if to say, "Patience, patience." We understood. No babe should lose its mother.
The snow makes a crunching sound as I walk toward the rim of the canyon. The air is crisp and clean, the chill nips at my nose and ears. I watch the falls flowing mightily, endlessly, effortlessly. I muse to myself that eternity must be like Canyon Falls. Each molecule of water contributing to the whole in an unbroken, continuous flow. Not one is more or less important than the other. Everything in its proper time and place. Things are as they should be. The universe continues, the world keeps spinning. The sun seems so far away, as if on some distant journey far from here. Away from this miserable angst-filled planet we call earth. Who could blame it?
My God, he was just twenty-one. I tried, I swear I tried my best to be both mom and dad. But the White Lady ensnared him, seduced him, made him promises, told him she would ease his pain, make him forget. But she lied. She always lies. In the end she won. Smacked her lips, another victim. Another loss of a young life. So, so young. He wanted to be a medical researcher, to find a cure for the cancer that took his mother. Now he is with her. Maybe it was meant to be this way.
This ludicrous lucidity, like a fallen angel, keeps taunting me. Melancholy returns. Loneliness haunts my days and nights. The air is changing, the cold now seeping into my bones. Even my heart feels frozen. Frozen here, frozen in time. How I long to hear a voice. It's so god-awful quiet.
the allure of red
flaming poppy paradise
dreams crushed by abuse
I
dismiss
the belief
we are alone
in the universe
as somewhat ludicrous.
The Holy Bible states
that the sons of God,
or watchers, and
the daughters
of Man
bred.
I
believe
that among
all the planets
orbiting their stars
we’ll find life is common.
And aliens mined Earth
and left puzzles
in the form of
wonderment,
carved in
stone.
all hail the world's bane
ludicrous caligula
terrible buffoon
riding on an ass, an ass
sliding on banana skins

I reckon most folks have ludicrous events in their lives to bear.
During my four-score years, Lord knows I've had my share!
Some left my dear long-suffering spouse (and me) somewhat sore,
But we laugh about them now since they've become our family lore!
In my younger years I worked as a janitor vacuuming floors and such.
Once, the vacuum hose got stuck - I jerked it with a not so gentle touch!
As quick as a spitting cobra the hose struck me square on the snout!
It bloodied my nose, caused my head to spin and nearly knocked me out!
Once, my wife was leaning over the car trunk getting something out.
Innocently, I turned the radio on raising the aerial causing her to shout!
That lustful antenna was creeping up her blouse in a very delicate area,
Causing her to cry out at me in a state of near extreme hysteria!
At the baggage carousel I snatched a bag that looked the same as mine.
I try to be ever mindful and careful of my good name never to malign,
But when I unpacked at home I discovered a bag of ladies intimate wear!
I tried to explain this turn of events under my spouse's baleful glare!
There was the time I was up a ladder when on the ground I spied a snake!
Discretion won out over bravery - I asked my wife to slay it with a rake!
Did I scale the ladder before or after seeing the snake is ever a question
That my wife ponders to this day tho' I'll never make a true confession!

Loud-Mouthed and Ludicrous
On my behalf this poem have been writing
Hoping it will be something so exciting
That by the time it is finally read
You will have forgotten what I just said.
Now can no longer remember anything
And often it seemed as if I was being
Beyond belief and totally astounding
And heart very hard has been pounding.
Overjoyed yourself were about to find
And also preferred having peace of mind
Miraculous birthday poem might write like this
While people think I am loud and ludicrous.
Even ended poem with your name.
How about that? Jim Horn
Speak freely, the words that no one hears,
your rights upended in passing years.
Demand of your leaders, promises made,
campaign trails, like snails, fade.
Break from the mighty, purchased power,
pocketed influence for every hour.
Hold fast to those principles, fading out,
crumbling ideals, swept clean with doubt.
Mock of the mighty, this world unknown,
can I call this freedom? Do I call this home?
Foolish little girl
Makes a naughty mistake
Treats those hard nosed
With a blizzard
Take a peek
That shameless smirk
Turns upside down
Twigging what she’s lost it
No one identifies
Ludicrous
The miner
On a pile of black gold?
Don’t outshine
The dim light in the dark pool
There not worth
To polish that shoe
Now shake off:
That gold digger act
Can’t last so long
Don’t wait for life to react
Have u ever been in love?
makes u vulnerable, like the kites above.
open ur chest and opens up ur heart,
allowing to mess up, in ways absurd.
U build up all defenses,
u build up a suit of armor,
To no use it is,
it creeps like a burgular.
The stupid u, the stupid one
wanders into ur stupid world,
And u give them a piece of u,
for which they never asked.
And then one day something
stupid happens,
A kiss, a touch, a smile,
renders u hapless.
And then ur life is
not yours anymore,
confusion, dillema, sleeplessness
outpour.
And then she sends
'may be we should b friends'
leaves u sulking, bemoaning'
and everything ends.
Continuous,
Venomous,
E. Pluribus,
Ludicrous.
They proved that Trumped is very venomous
Our poor country as well as Unum e. pluribus,
And oh no;
Again we go;
As usual he is talking and looking ludicrous.

Here is how I accepted the challenge.
Laugh at me in absurdity
Until you die you shall live in infamy
Death has shown me
Illicit things the world may never see
Chivalry never meant much for me
Ruminating over all I'd never be
Obviously dyeing to know what peers think
Until the day I die I will be an antagonist
Sweet vanguard never knew what I missed, what ludicrous.
LUDRICROUS
“A dish, a bowl, a cone, a cloud?”
“A cloud?” I ask.
I’m clearly dreaming, once again,
a craving this strong. “I’ll take
them all,” I say. The angel says,
“Now that’d be silly, Miss!”
You’d not believe how hot
it’s in my dream. I’m soaked.
My tongue does fantasize
this afternoon.
“I’ll take vanilla
topped with sliced strawberries,
drizzled chocolate
and whipped cream.”
I’ll need a nap,
but if I sleep,
I’ll find myself
ordering all over again.
She says, “will that be a strawberry
spoon, vortex or dish?”
This ice cream stop
is ludicrous.

Madness zips through my head
Giving me loads & loads of dread
Marry me, satisfaction
Divorce me, dissatisfaction
Tag along, positivity
Don’t keep up with me, negativity
My dark, dark desire
Is stirring up heartfire
The afterlife will come sooner or later
I would rather be a ludicrous lover than a loathsome hater
Bring to life my happiness – lift me up above this cold, heartless floor
Get along with me, joyous laughter & laugh with me, don’t sneer at me…
You must be joking or out of your mind, are you? I love you to the core
So, don’t say otherwise – keep pace with me & most certainly…most likely…
You’ll find peace in mind
Our love was plastic?
No, our love was epic
My infatuation towards you
Came out of the blue....blue.....
Shadow of a dog scared the workers who were pouring our basement.
It looked like a giant dog; like a Marmaduke of a dog, like a beast.
One of the workers crawled out of the pit to have a closer look.
It was a friendly dog with a huge body and enormous head
It had the shortest tiniest legs ever put on a dog with a body this size.
A weird combination of dog, moving slowly as it scampers away.
The ears flapping behind, making it look even more ludicrous.
#Ludicrous Lover
(Would love for Beyoncé to sing this one day)
Oh, oh, oh
Oh you ludicrous lover
Unlike any other…
Hmmmm
I wanted another
Ooh , ooh , ooh!
Oh you ludicrous lover
You are a sister and a brother
Unlike any other…
Swing, swing and bring me to my knees
Bring, bring me to my solace please
Please, please won’t you feel the blessed breeze
It’s a wicked wind at ease
It’s a wicked wind at eeease!…
Oh, oh, oh
Such a ludicrous lover
I won’t bother, being your sister
But, you loved another
And now I receive many-a blister
Ooh , ooh , ooh!
Oh you ludicrous lover
You are a sister and a brother
Unlike any other…
Swing, swing and bring me to my knees
Bring, bring me to my solace please
Please, please won’t you feel the blessed breeze
It’s a wicked wind at ease
And we’re in unity…
Like a heavenly harmony
You’re my melody…
You set me free from captivity
And now, we’re captive
Let go and go and let live!
Believe in the Lord of Accord
Let me live, hallelujah! Amen…
Ooh , ooh , ooh!
Oh you ludicrous lover
You are a sister and a brother
Unlike any other…
Swing, swing and bring me to my knees
Bring, bring me to my solace please
Please, please won’t you feel the blessed breeze
It’s a wicked wind at ease
Swing, swing and bring me to my knees
Bring, bring me to my solace please
Please, please won’t you feel the blessed breeze
It’s a wicked wind at ease!…
Ooh, ooh, oooooh!
Mmm mmm mmm…
His logic was not the kind
that sprang from a sound mind.
To wit, he defined a catalyst
as a feline specialist;
and, by his logic (and now yours),
concluded that an analyst
must likewise be a specialist –
if you’re slow, don’t analyze this!
