Ludicrous

LUDRICROUS “A dish, a bowl, a cone, a cloud?” “A cloud?” I ask. I’m clearly dreaming, once again, a craving this strong. “I’ll take them all,” I say. The angel says, “Now that’d be silly, Miss!” You’d not believe how hot it’s in my dream. I’m soaked. My tongue does fantasize this afternoon. “I’ll take vanilla topped with sliced strawberries, drizzled chocolate and whipped cream.” I’ll need a nap, but if I sleep, I’ll find myself ordering all over again. She says, “will that be a strawberry spoon, vortex or dish?” This ice cream stop is ludicrous.

Your poem is a treat--alike the ice cream it describes. Any flavor, cup or cone--still delicious....awake or dreaming.

LOL..went to a fairly new place called Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. You can get layered cups of Italian ice and ice cream. Fun combos. Brought the grandsons. :)
