Best Love Poem Poems
They say I’m crazy, but I can’t forget
how she smiled at me when our eyes first met.
To see her, to hear her - each day I’d pray!
What do they know of true love anyway?
A few times we went out, and we nearly kissed.
But things took a wrong turn. What had I missed?
I’m sure her friends said to keep me at bay.
What do they know of true love anyway?
They called me possessive; then even she
got an order from court to restrain me
for treasuring her!! Here’s all I can say:
What do they know of true love anyway?
They got me for murder; I love that girl still.
I could not have her, so no one else will.
I sit writing love poems, rotting away. . .
What do they know of true love anyway?

A love poem
How do you write a love poem
First of all:
You need inspiration
The best inspiration
Is a person
to love
Or to hate even
Yes, even hate or jealousy
can be an awesome prompt
to write about
whatever
you once felt
Or perhaps puppy love
for that little boy with braces
two blocks down the road
from where you lived
Or even secret love for that
stud that never saw you
because you're that wussie
that nerd that stutters
So how DOES one write a love poem?
Never EVER use the word 'love'
it's a cliche
all critics in the world agree
on that one
also never use:
"kissing your moist lips"
'kissing' is a gerund
'your moist lips'
is a cliche worse than 'love'
Then how to write a love poem?
How would I know?
I've never written a decent one!

She told her pappy so.

But Joe is yore half brother.

Spring Enchantment (a love poem)
As wisps of clouds creeped
overhead before a storm moving quickly east,
the moon lay down his vanilla beams
to dispel the darkness hiding our bared feet —
set side by side — romantically
touching for warmth, for love, for eternity,
hopefully, to envelop us, like the coming rain
in our lives’ thundering, combined heartbeats
…joined into those duets passion will release
all about from the great springs of yearning.

Thanks be to God——
My love
we celebrate your birth
on this night of Sanhaim
when the worlds are whisper-thin
and your magic sings its sweetest song.
Your love draws stars from the sky
lures spirits from the tombs
snow falls from the summer sky
a love so sacred and magical.
Let us meet
surrounded by forest
as the wind
whispers its secret to the trees
we seek the sacred creek
leading to the river that caresses the earth
where flowers rise in rapture to the sun.
This day I am yours
you are mine
we are inseparable in death
by any power or pain
for it is such true love
no death awaits us.
Come with me my love
come back to the one
feel my spirit and take flight
let us see all of creation
let us seek favor from the divine.
God and goddess we shall become
gods of true and powerful devotion
let us be graced
by the moon goddess
by the dragon of the stars
allowing us to burn hot with passion.
Let us draw from the power of the earth
alive and solid
beneath our feet
fertile valley of existence
all our wants and needs
will be satisfied.
Embrace this love
blessed be
your feet
your knees
your womb
your breasts
your lips
blessed be your soul.
My sweet love scented by jasmine
I seek you on the silver slant of moonlight
beautiful moon goddess
your magic is all enthralling
I succumb to your witches cry
I come to your lair softly lit
your Wiccan pattern on the floor to guide me
save me from the river of flames
with the manifestation of your desires
for in you my lover
I am charmed...

An ABC poem :For Alfred Vassello
Beloved, turn off the lights; speak to me;
Is your heart to be evermore my own,
does my name slip from your lips silently...
content, that I should need ne'er more to moan.
~
Beloved, watch close loves acquainted eyes;
reflections holds no secrets from within.
For the souls bidding eyes will ne'er tell lies,
remember, doubt not… your want is my sin.
~
Beloved, wilt thou walk with me through dreams,
come lay with me as if I were dying?
Kiss my mouth, give me water from your stream;
listen love...the voice of the rain’s crying.
Loves lives through winters cold, summers fire,
though daybreak begins, as the night retires.
I love how your long chestnut hair flows over your gentle shoulders,
And when the sun searches you out for a moment, your hair sparkles…
Because I lit a match and threw it into that rat infested hair ball that you
Waste all your time on. Next up is your head which I’m going to rip…
Don’t listen to him. I’m mesmerized by your deep blue eyes, when they lovingly
Gaze In my direction. I will never make you shed a tear, my dear…
But I’m going to kick you about this filthy house. It looks like all you’ve
Done all day is piss in the wind. And stop your crying; your baggy eyes are…
Ignore him, my love. Your soft, gentle touch upon my face arouses my senses to new Heights. All my cares wash away as your aquiline hand slowly glides along my arm…
What the hell does he know? If you don’t get your boney hand off me, I’m going to break it In half. And the next time I catch you trying to be nice I’m going to throw you out with…
Stop that, Hyde. Sorry, my love, but as I was saying, your body is a masterpiece sculpted out of the finest treasures. I’m in awe of its supple curves, how it flinches to the touch…
Oh, shut up Doc, you’re killing me. And speaking of killing, I feel like pummeling
The living daylights out of your emaciated, piece of good for nothing…
Please be mine baby, before I’m lost forever to…
I’m in charge, so get over here and take it like…
I’m fading, my love. Hurry, say you’ll be mine. Save us.
I’m going to tear you apart. You’re no baby, you’re a…
Save me, before the monster wins…
Too late, Dr., she will be all mine soon…
Just a kiss, my dear. Just a…
‘Slap’, take that b****...
One kiss. Now! -The Dr. and his lover kiss- Thank you, my love. Let that vile
Monster rest in peace, so that we will be left in peace from it for evermore.
Laid on the cliff top looking out over the sea
Wild flowers surround me as far as the eye can see
I find myself day dreaming something I often do
Praying that my dreaming will one day come true.
For you are my forever friend
My love for you can have no end
Forever love lasts eternally
and is given for all you mean to me.
It is my heart to you I give
It is yours as long as we live
My heart will keep you safe and warm
Provide shelter from the fiercest storm.
Forever love will take your hand
Guide you through the life you've planned
When you cry it will dry your tears
and take away your darkest fears.
Forever love will help you win
When life's door is locked. Love lets you in
It guides everything I say and do
and all I am I share with you
Yes you caused it the creases on my face
I may look like an old book without the last page
But they say I have aged with … somewhat grace
Which, they said laughing, complements my age
It used to be considered as a sexy smile
But I have not used it for a while
Well only when I have a pile
But you cannot count that as a smile
You are as fresh as a polo mint
I hope you can interpret my little hint
It’s been a while since someone made me feel the way
And I thought I’d let you know before the end of the day
Ignore my rhymes
As I use different kinds
As long as you know the way I feel
Naked as an orange without it’s peel
Naked because I am shy
That is the reason, if you wondering why
So from the heart this is from me
Thank you me good friend P.D
My heart is torn to pieces. Really, it's on
life support. So bad that it's aching and this
pain is getting worse.
How could you be so cold? You were once by my
side. How could you give up on us? Can you see
the tears I cry?
I guess now it doesn't matter. I guess it was
all a lie. I guess your word was not a bond.
Your word wasn't good as mine.
Maybe I can hold my head up. Maybe I shouldn't
take it that hard. Maybe this is a blessing in
disguise...I found out the person you truly are.
I was ready to give you the world, then here he
comes along. You fell for the words he told you.
You were mine, but now you're gone.
I could pretend with wishful thinking hoping you'll
come to your sense. But if you did how will I know
you'll only break my heart again?
I'll be alright, but as for now I don't want to face
the world. I can't put it in my mind that you are no
longer my girl.
One last hug
One last kiss
One last look upon your face.
Goodbye love
Goodbye hon
He has now taken my place.
In the beginning, before time began,
before God envisioned the concept of man,
as God was pondering His incredible plan,
we stood together, hand in hand.
Before there were stars, or planets, or moons,
in silence and darkness all drifted, immune,
before God had cast the very first rune,
we stood together, completely in tune.
And when it's all over, once God is done,
when there's no moons or planets or suns,
like the beginning, before time had begun,
we'll stand together, together as one.

If my love we must part
Let us part under shroud of night
Who I ask is afraid of the dark?
Tiss I who fears the darkness when you depart
Times passing shall never lessen the pain within
I suffer so, longing for your poetry
Until
Until one day I dream of you
We are bound together, by words and prose
Desires bring back memories long faded
Final notice, seems so harsh
Your note of departure, a rupture
A love poem to say a whispered goodbye
I shall cherish the laughter and the pain
Declarations of unity made in passions heat
Alone in your satin sheets, do I weep
Delicate verses of our devotions
I sing and rhyme them, lost in my own illusions
Moments like this, I loiter in my solitude
Memories seeking comfort in your soft embrace
Eyes, oh how they burned into my soul
Eyes that used to kiss my very heart
Poetry shall never lay claim to the depths
Of our infernally burning passions
Forget me nots grow, in my forgotten garden
Forgetting is killing me so
Sublime and grey are many a mundane day
I wither and fade, for its moments like this
So close to heaven, so close to a burning hell
I have sailed the seas of desire, only to sink
My sunken footsteps lie below
My broken heart
Notes:
I happened upon a poet here, T.Nicole Williams, and below is a list of the poems she
has posted here. Something just clicked and I said wow, even her poem titles are a
poem!!! After reading a few of her poems, I quite enjoyed her style and expression,
and thus, I wrote a poem based on all her poem titles! I quite enjoyed this, as the idea
was so random and by chance, so I hope you all like this poem, as well as I hope
she is flattered to have inspired this little piece!!!
