Best Liven Up Poems
Just when I think I've seen it
All throughout this land
They went and upped the anti
On the classic can of Spam
Those with the higher power
The ones that run the show
The Spam men of the hour
In a bunker buried way down low
Have added different flavors
To this meat of mystery
From Teriyaki to Tocino
That's bacon to those who don't speak Philippine
They heat it up with Jalapeno
Helps to liven up the slime
Those bunker boys as they're fondly known
Have really out done themselves this time
Aloha from Hawaii?
Imagine Spam in a Hula skirt
As they pull out the Leis and go all the way
Adding pineapple to those Spam burps
Exciting rumors have it
They're in talks with Oreo
There's no place in this universe
That a good slice of spam won't go
The only thing they need to work on
Is the dipping in the milk
They have yet to solve the problem
Of the massive oil spill
Yes they've taken what the rest of us
Never thought could be improved
Just goes to show what ingenuity
And a touch of crazy genius can do
A scientist by the name of Mulqueen
Wanted to create a Patrick's day scene
Some borax he ignited
The Irish were excited
When over town he sent clouds of bright green.
The crowds called an encore they did insist
Mulqueen quite drunk now he couldn't resist
To liven up the party
Mixed borax with TNT
And the town vaporised in a green mist.

Trinitrotoluene (TNT) is a very high explosive)
Me and my fellow buckaroos have had a real rough day.
Plumb tuckered out, we still are not ready to hit the hay.
Our bacon, the beans and biscuits have all been gobbled up.
My coffee now is growing cold inside my old tin cup.
Sitting around the fire, it feels good to just lean back.
A harmonica my friend is taking now from his "war sack."
melancholy is his tune. Two cowpokes who have guitars
are joining in with my friend Jake. I look up at the stars.
I want to liven up the scene, so I sing them my new song -
the one I wrote a month ago. The others sing along.
I love this life and being on this current cattle drive.
Not married yet, I'm saving up. At least I can survive!
It's time to get our sleep in. My bedroll's spread out. By and by,
I'll be deaming about my gal Sal beneath this starry sky!

They have zero charisma
Republicans give off no sparks
Richard Nixon, so woeful wooden
He was carved from Noah’s Ark
Ike and Mamie, a pair so excruciatingly dull
They spelled ‘live action’ – L U L L
And next to JFK’s wife, Jacqeline
Mamie was a dime-store mannequin
Fess up, GOP, you’re a party of Mitch McConnells
Liven up, like that Democrat clown ~ Ronald McDonald
O, dreamed of home—a bench to rest my feet,
a warm and feathered coat to keep out cold
O, dreamed of feast--spread with too much to eat.
Emanuel, why did I forget my way?
Oh, imaginary friend who talked to me
please, forgive me for ever doubting you.
I never dreamed I’d end up lost and all alone,
wondering whether there’d be someone for me to love.
Oh my friend
speak to me.
Save me from
doubts and fears.
Liven up
the endless quiet hours.
Walk along
my lonely trail.
Help me
on this endless search.
Is it something that I did
to bring the dark and cold onto me?
Where did we go wrong?
Where did I go wrong?
Why did I forget my way?
Do you even hear my call?
Do you even hear my voice?
I can no longer hide behind my tears.
Emanuel, why did I ever lose my home?
Will I always wonder whether if there’ll be someone for me to love?
Your comfort always felt so warm and good to me
Where did I go wrong to be so lost and alone?
Can Love Golfing Game Haiku
Golfing we will go
On great course that we all know
Will be fast not slow.
Game is never grim
Sand traps are a minimum
And other obstacles.
Broke a rule or two
To liven up my haiku
Bring it some justice.
According to all
Of my great calculations
Handicap is low.
Great golfers will be
And then maybe you and me
Can love our own game.
James Thomas Horn
But I am not a golfer.
Oh, dear.

SHOCKING!!!!!!!! WHAT? THAT?
Bad taste?
They know not what is at stake
They do as they please
Then later beg for forgiveness
A right sin
And a dismal business
Nothing is shocking anymore
To thump each other
They go to the extremes of bad taste
The exotic of the past
Is now the mundane of today
To push the boundaries of rascality
Is the new wanton game
Played by trouble makers galore
To shock is to liven up
What a rebellious few
Think is dreary and staid
But is the result of good taste?
Actions we take now do tell
A story to our future
What of our legacy?
Will our avant-garde seem
Nothing but a real shame?
Critics slam with hyperbolic feelings
Prolonging a naturally temporary phase
The rebellion against the norm
Is but a turbulent teenage phase
Desperation for fame
Pushes the tactless
To seek increasingly embarrassing ways
To force our senses to
Confront what is best left private
Books
Art
The stage
All are infiltrated by the listless crew
Who seem hell-bent on defacing decency
Nudity
Crassness
Debauchery
Bad talent
No longer have critics powerful enough to
Cauterize such abject mood swings
Of artiste who feel no shame
Extending the boundaries
Of moral inhibition is not new
Those that claim to be even more shocking
Know not the history of petty rebellion
They are just another transient few
Decency has lost its unsung heroes
Who slash canvasses
And cover up the detritus of artistic license
Those who oppose any act
That does make us think
Examine or
Analyse our existence in new ways
Are deemed too sensitive for modern life
They are accused of bleaching creativity
To be a rogue is best
To impose any limits seems
To rascals as wilful distress but
Trendsetters don’t often know best
bound beautifully in blossoms bossom
bend backwards in in time
the blissful nature nutures the negative
turning on the glow positive energy endeavoring everyone
and goodhearted gladness gathering goodness from within
the kiss planted on your heart heals all hurts
the blessed kiss from an angel
angles the blessing to heal all from within
the time to spread such joy is everyday of the year
the hope abound from a common cause
causes all good cheer from year to year
caressed carefully in caual curiosity
the candles glow brightens away the shadows
the goodness in us all shines thoroughly thru
the bliss of life is overwhelming
and leaves us giddy with hope eternal
and brings spring early into our lives
to liven up the spirits the have darkened over the years
our days shall always have a halo of hope
we just need a little bliss to illuminate it
You can't be serious!!!
This must be a joke
To consider this yahoo
This really weird bloke
It's all a big put on
I have to ass/u/me
You guys are surely outta
Your cotton pickin' tree
It's a real big gimmick
To generate interest
No one can convince me
It's good for business
It's just meant to liven up
A dreary campaign
This yahoo for President
That's totally insane

Had an urge to purge songs which were a dirge
And on many spiritual songs start to splurge
Which will really liven up the whole place
And put a smile on each and every face.
We sound like being in a period of mourning
When all around us is always adorning
Which is none other than God and Jesus
Who can cure my many cases of enuresis.
When I go to church I get so excited
Because by Them I have been invited;
On God's Son Jesus I have a big crush
Then go to bathroom and have to flush.
I have an experience which is really moving
I started to rock and roll and am grooving
After giving it my all and whole entire
They actually want me to join the choir.

The blue jay is a handsome bird
though that is oft the one nice word
you'll read about this robber of other
birds' nests ~ this handsome pest
You're a beacon of color on a bleak winter's day
despite what we read about 'amoral ways'
So here's to you, Mr. Jay, you liven up winter
even if your daily routine I can't print here
With everyday i wake
The darkness around me advances,
Swallowing me in its pool of misery
To never liven up again.
With every breath i take
I realise that i'm more alone,
Neglected and rejected for a weakness
That i am not to be blamed.
With every step i take,I feel like a puppet.
Driven around by invisble strings,
That halts my freedom
To the length of string
To whom it may concern.
With every tear i shed in pain
My wrath and agony aggravate.
Slashed and whipped through day and night
A sufferer i remain.
With every dawn that comes
My hopes of a future will prevail,
Though a prisoner I am and will remain
My hopes will forever lighten my path.
Wintering atmosphere,
times without sun,
fierce cold wind blowing,
Frost sad weather...
Helpful fireplace lit,
Hot chocolate,
bubbly soup,
perfume
environment... !
liven up life!
Kong Suni
Have you heard about Kong Suni
A Korean little doll
She’s all dressed up in gingham
You’d expect to hear “Y’all”
But the Koreans didn’t go there
They thought they would be smart
And make a little cutie pie
That also rips a fart
You just rub her little tummy
And you’ll hear a little toot
Her dress flys up – she giggles
The Koreans think it cute
Kids no longer need an uncle
Whose finger they must pull
To liven up the household
When the gathering’s gone dull
So maybe on this Christmas
You can give your favorite niece
Something that her friends won’t have
May the laughter never cease
Nature has put on her fllamboyant
dress of white and pink flowers
that spread a delicate scent
to liven up melancholic eyes.
