Best Legalized Poems

Premium Member Mr Donald

My generation witnessed riots in the streets, cold wars at home and hot wars abroad, and legalized racism.

Revolutions of family values, the definition of family, and millions of abortions are the new faces of America.

Division in America has reached toxic levels and if left unchecked, we will fall like a once mighty but decaying oak.

On Biblical Principles we were founded, and it is certain that America cannot rebuild nor reinvent itself.

Never in my lifetime have I witnessed such vicious attacks against the leader of our great country.

And that includes the Troubled 60's, Vietnam Era, and Watergate when at least we trusted the constitution.

Let's not forget our history but learn from its lessons, lest we are condemned to repeat its pains and sorrows.

Donald Trump, in my view, is not what's wrong with America but fights for America, and at this time is on the right side of history.

In An Ideal Society

In an ideal society,
folks wouldn't smoke,
Youngsters would not indulge
in coke, and there wouldn't be
people who were gay,
but, in the real world
it is not that way,
and although many may think
that being gay is sinning,
Wouldn't it be better if
they legalized their feelings,
There would be less diseases
and promiscuity,
Living a close to "normal" life
creates sanctity,
God loves them despite their
preferences,
Who are ordinary folks to treat
them with indifferences.......?

Medical Marijuana

M edically necessary to help those
A fflicted with life changing diseases.
R ealizing that many suffering
I ndividuals need this legalized
J ust to continue the quality and
U sefulness of their lives.
A lternative medications don’t work, but
N ot having this narcotic
A vailable, many will suffer terribly.

Who Can Live Here

Who can survive here?
The air that we breathe smells of blood and anarchy
The water that you drink tastes of fear and lies
You should not say what you think and live
You are living in the time, where fake is fashion

Who can win here?
Your victory doesn’t depend on your strength and wisdom
Your victory depends on the desecration of a referee
The ground that you fight for is sleepy and risky
The cause that you took is bloody and tricky

Who can lead here?
Your vision is blinded by greed and hypocrisies
The mission you are on is full of ambush and lethargy
Your message is rejected before it comes out of your heart
The soil you step is full of personal mines and dynamite

Who can pray and be holy here?
Your faith is legalized according to an ideological agenda
Your God is only accepted if he fits into their temple
Your act of worship is effective if it fits into their idol
Your inspirations are right when it fits their aspirations

2009 Apology To Us Amerindians

Layli Long Soldier speaks ...
Legalese: with lots of "Whereas"

Her Lakota people make other news in praying -
She really believes in prayer as resistance

Yes, "Indians" are so very different
But I have not read, ever, they fought over sacred cities

Or went to war over a sacred mountain, or river, or fish ...
Their Great Father gave them that unity, not political

Poetess Long Soldier discovered a 2009 US Apology
Hidden quietly in a Defense Appropriations Bill

"Leave the plant to stay alive," but take leaves
Of the Red Willow: a living-giving-Resource God

Like water; Long Soldier talks much of her one child
A daughter. Legalized sorrow under President Obama

Whose Healthcare Bill medicates and sustains those who hate him
For being a successful black man, who took the presidency from

Some outstanding human called a Caucasian Male, by election
When real history tells us, Obama defeated a woman candidate

Hilary Clinton, by the same game we celebrate in others
This Obama hid the apology to Native Americans

Her own dad did write Layli an apology; an absentee father
But she knew how healing begins with heart-istic apology

We have learned to be legal experts in social relations:
Even when teachers work with kids, or at university

But all of us love taking advantage of those we can subdue -
In America many assume the worst of someone with an accent:

Potential child abuser, rapist, thief, male chauvinist
And of course for the male: potential terrorist

After all, Why apologize for defending "my" land, country home?
Layli Long Soldier's people did not judge "White strangers"

Lakota means "Friend," but we would never guess that
Whereas in the past, "Savage" and "*****" were our descriptors

Anyway in 2010, this apology America gave Native Americans
Became an Act (Look it up!). Or was it an "act" before 2010?

Number of Man

Number of Man
(Webster’s Ninth)

Money trail reveals factor
To assemble humans follow layout
Swat down charges with linguistic racket
Sticks more effective than carrot dangle
Arguments sustained by pundits' jangle
Beached on shallow force Fed truths we paddle

Pedantic pets get paddle
First world states where offspring are a factor
Searching for meaning results in jangle
Pogroms programmed in digital layout
Preach peace while children from clotheslines dangle
Dichotomy the full courtpress racket

Tax credit skin trade racket
Birth control for those learning to paddle
Tout facts as contexts, like syntax, dangle
Infrastructure to control the factor
Roman Rhodes lead all through latent layout
Deaf ears strain to hear warning bell’s jangle

Legalized fictions jangle
Integration catalyzed by racket
A body of work produced for layout
Leaves us without proverbial paddle
Multiply the lie to find the factor
What tales are told from the yardarm dangle

Join the police state dangle
Riot inciting projection jangle
Plausibility denying factor
The legislative extortion racket
Brings independence beneath the paddle
All contingencies covered by layout

Camp Kapos marked for layout
Every scapegoat has his day to dangle
No room for slaves who refuse to paddle
Loose lips fill shipping lanes by their jangle
Synthetic avatars fuel our racket
Never ask what long term effects factor

Layout a dialectic to jangle
Dangle clues via distracting racket
Paddle but fail to account for the Factor

Premium Member Alcohol Can Numb the Pain

Alcohol can numb the pain
But it's not the best thing for it
So have a drink and have some fun
But please don't over do it.

It's can be so addictive
You may need it everyday
But when you finally sober up
Your problems haven't gone away

Some say it is in your genes
Others say it's just being weak
Either way it is an addiction
It's help, and advice you really seek

Life long abuse will destroy
Everything you ever had
When your health deteriorates
Your family will be sad

I'm not saying don't have a drink
It's safe in moderation
But drinking vodka at breakfast
Won't get you admiration

Liver failure heart conditions
Symptoms you may get
To many people gone before
Some you've never met

Alcoholism is hard to beat
It's a drug that's legalized
If you keep drinking like you do
Your internals will be fried

Family and friends are there for you
To help you beat this sordid addiction
You will then realize, alcohol kills
This is FACT not fiction

If

if but and also
all ran down a street
whose cousin’s mother’s sister
legalized love’s distant dream

with in on and beyond
following closely after
a key hole of time’s future now
spooked bejesus out of bounds

when shoes string along
black wholes green with envy turn
worms come out of closets
knots know not to sing a song

who’s to tell this from that
when clocks ring hollow
and all gods feel sorry
for four score is no more

the measure of all that entails
enshrined within without’s about
debts delinquent devout doubt
morrow’s mourning mewing moss

cons an injunction positively plain
predating position’s posture to fame
signing is a song’s sad dismay
crossing is a road without delay

as gold to ash dust turneth brown
merely’s mostly mitigating moves
shakes the earth’s shivering please
bordering boundless broken bones

if the sun’s heart skips a beat
then your turn will ours become
and if water cries life’s complete
put it down thou will be done

tomorrow is a stranger’s rising night
yesterday’s rose incites my light
love plays dangerous games
whose rules bend time and blesses names

the quill of now rests in peace
also how never more then ever
is not who is once was was
trolls never words were whether

Premium Member Ode, To Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau,
was born on Christmas night, I think under a star;
and became the 23rd Prime Minister of Canada,
and leader of the Liberal party;
son of former Prime Minister, Pierre Elliot Trudeau.

Justin is a kind, polite, fun loving man,
he was a snowboarding instructor, night club bouncer;
was a teacher, a boxer when younger,
and legalized marijuana in Canada to shut down illegal sales;
he wrote his memoir in 2014, a bit early Justin.

As Prime Minister, he apologized on behalf of Canada,
to the Indigenous People for wrong doings through history;
and also to other communities for transgressions of the past,
he has no fear to stand up to the USA President, any leader;
during his election campaign he always remained the gentleman.

Some, may find him too passive- I see his inner strength,
he is a wonderful representative for Canada;
with his movie star good looks, easy smile and laugh,
I love his upbeat personality and positive attitude;
and I am proud to call him my leader, my Prime Minister.

The reindeer vacationed in Denver

For three weeks well into December

     No magic dust needed

To fly – they were “weeded”

But flight plans they couldn’t remember

No One Is Perfect

this is a controversial poem but I ask for your attention...

everyone was born with an imperfection...

some people have an "imperfection" of what most call "GAY"...

and there are people who feel same sex marriage isn't the right way...

however no one has the right to say what they say...

so keep your comments to yourself and continue your day...

Obama legalized same sex marriage
and he is straight...

so there is nothing wrong with acceptance and it's never too late...

but even with gay marriage legalized
it's still a problem in some states...

some on the list are FL, UT, TX, MS, ME, and VA...

is this the dream country we live in known as the U.S.A.?...

when states are united as one, but through differences seem to separate?...

and being gay is not a disease, it's not a trait...

same sex couples are people too, so why show them hate?...

would you like it where you lived in a backwards world today?...

a world where you couldn't marry the one you loved because you were straight?...

I know I wouldn't want to be separated from my soul mate...

so what gives us the right to take same sex couples rights away?...

no one is perfect, flawless, or a mistake...

but we all should unite as one for all of our sakes...

The All-American Ladies Choice

You know she missed her period and she missed graduation,
And she missed those wedding bells.
And her daddy’s shot-gun missed the boy next door—
Where he’s gone nobody can tell.
It’s a simple operation—her sister recommends it—
Her daddy’s going to foot the bill,
It’s the All-American Ladies Choice…
It’s a legalized license to kill.

God help me Jesus, forgive what we’ve done,
Did we murder a daughter, or a rambunctious bouncing son?
God help me, Jesus, please hear my voice—
Forgive me…for making the All-American Ladies’ Choice!

The weary old world takes a couple rotations
And she marries someone new,
But every year ‘round Mothers’ Day,
She’s unaccountably blue.
Ten years later in a ‘Frisco apartment
A cowboy tunes his guitar….
He’s been educated in the Land of the Free
That your songs reveal who you are.

He sings, God help me Jesus, forgive what we’ve done,
Did we murder a daughter, or annihilate a rambunctious, bouncing son?
God help me, Jesus, please hear my voice…
Forgive me…for helping her make the All-American Ladies’ Choice.

War Is

War Is...

War is unkind to servicemen, women, animals, flora, fauna, nature's terrains, seas, atmospheres, and everything else
War is unjust and unethical to everyone
War is the slaughtering of innocent young and old men and women of both sides which are fighting for their leader's version of freedom, or simply protecting themselves from so called enemies
War is fought on both domestic and forgein lands
War is authorized and legalized mass murder of both sides
War is an inevitable necessity evil in order to be free
War is beyond expensive monetarily, mentally, physically, psychologically, death stats, and causality states versus survival stats
War is heartbreaking, heart-wrecking, and heart-wrenching, to the servicemen, to the parents, lovers, wives, husbands, and children of servicemen on both sides
War is caused by several different variables usually for economic and territorial gain
religion, Nationalism, revenge, Civil War,
revolutionary, being defensive, ethnic cleansing and other ideological mass killings, globalism, world domination, and so many others
War is fought by young and old men and women as either draftees, or volunteers
War is ugly
War is horrific
War is traumatic
War is dramatic
War is psychologically scarring
War is terrifying
War is brutal
War is common
War is unpopular
War is propagated
War is hated
War is detrimental
War is immoral
War is sometimes manufactured
War is unpreventable
War is fighting for your and their commander-in-chief's ideologies whether you like it or not
War is glorified
War is sometimes created by opposing forces in order to gain something from one another
War is everything I mentioned above and so much more
War is not a favorite of mine, however, as United States Navy veteran and having lots of veterans in my family as well there is no harm in honoring and respecting the young and old men and women who died in war for us, and those that didn't die in battle but still served in the military for all of us!
