Sagely silent woman half smiles
Man blathers on and on and on
Abject grief traveled many miles
Death has come to their precious son
Solemn church has six empty aisles
This brave soldier has long been gone
Sagely silent woman half smiles
Man blathers on and on and on
Dressed up child looks at dull gray tiles
Wishing she could blink and be gone
Outside window a gentle fawn
A teen's cell phone now butt dials
Sagely silent woman half smiles

Im laying in my bed
Staring at the ceiling
Looking at the lines
From the blinds
Derived from outside
Lights through my window
Into my room
And though i cant sleep
I remain in wait
While a state of awake
Permeates my minds eye
And the darkness
Envelops me whole
But the sounds of
The night remain
My clock ticks
My clock tocks
The seconds turn
The minutes burn
The fan shakes
The blades spin
My heart beats
My mind races
My eyes swell
Im growing....
Im living....
Im thinking....
Im dying inside.
I am awake.
Yet i am alive.

The sun already traversed the sky,
arms linked, soul stepping into the tide,
the sun kissed your skin,
and reminded me why once you made me shy.
The mouth of time it open’eth wide,
and our love blossomed to kin.
Quietness of the soul,
as the senses indulge,
in the laspe of the sea,
the stars pierce vast coal,
the happenings of next I will not divulge,
you laying in the dunes with me.

In the dead of night, he comes a laying
up against my side
When a witches’s brew has chilled the air
with a frigid tide
He comes in stealth, a quiet pace
in a tip-toed creep
With me in dreams he finds his place
a way into my sleep
I wake to find there is no room
i’m inches from the edge
I see a fluffy monster
has crammed me to a wedge
Though numb from lack of motion
my heart just overflows
with love for my sweet puppy
despite his cold, wet nose
The warmth that he possesses
and brings into my bed
will stay with me forever
no monster here to dread

Laying Here I Tell Myself I Hate This
I feel like I could take my whole life and close it within my Fist
Yet Here I lay as another week has came and went
Laying here just thinking how much of my Life do I resent?
My Thoughts have a way of just making things worse
Laying here is not going to help when all i really need to do is find a way to feel better before I burst
Not everyday is this bad
Laying here i quickly come to realize things must change before I end up going Mad
Written during a moment when life was more heavy then usual

(The Traveler) known far and wide as the “Cowboy” had become quite (Disenchanted) after
reading Rhonda’s (Communiqué!) He felt as though the (Weight of the World) was unfairly
placed on his shoulders. He was outraged! How dare she accuse him of any wrong doing?
After (A Lifetime of Love) (The Magic Trio) as he liked to call it, had become (Two Too
Square) for her tastes. The Cowboy felt all it needed was a little (Resuscitation) to become a
(“Jubilant”) thing in his life once more. Then this (Ultimate Adieu) arrived from Rhonda, one
of his two paramours. Rhonda the bronze (Beach Baby) was (A Legend in Life), well known
at the seaside and in (The Village) for the (Racy Red) string bikini she often wore.
Rhonda had become sick and tired of the cowboy and his (Clandestine) one sided trysts with
two women. (Now and Forever) she wanted to be an (Opulent Orchid) in a singular
(Resplendent Romance). She was fed up being some dizzy (Dream Catcher) who had
become a (Suburbia Special) reality show ranked 2nd in a (Catalog of the Cowboy)s
conquests.
Those of us (In the Know) realized she was finally activating a long anticipated (Survival
Sequence). That fatal message she sent to the cowboy had nothing but her (Death
Definitions) written all over it. Grabbing only her essentials she has taken (Flight). By her
actions, the (Pearl in the Oyster) of our seaside village has vowed she will no longer play
(“Doubles”) with her love life. The (Pendulum) always swings two ways!

Laying here in this dark lonely room
wishing to lay here with you
laying here saying in my head "only if she knew"
wanting to tell you just how much ilove you
whispering to myself saying "i can wait on you" hoping to be with you
no matter where i go i will be there
you wont never be gone always in my heart say "layng here thinking of you"

To write to ensnare
to weave a web of intrigue
is it for one’s self?
I’d rather be the devil
than steal true loves innocence.

The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds on this plain.
It is so bright and beautiful it is hard for my eyes to contain.
I lean against the wind and pretend that I am weightless.
In this moment I know I am set for life, set for greatness.
I lay my head onto the sand and to my dreams I submit.
The sky resembles a black lit canopy with holes in it.
Counting the stars above one by one, I am euphoric.
This is one night I'll remember forever, to my its historic.
I watch the fireflies come out all along the beach.
Burning off and on, they stay just outside my reach.
Staring out into nothing, I look back on life and reflect.
This sliver of time is so great, but its you who I recollect.
No matter how great life can be, its you I want here.
I wish you could be next to me, but then you disappear.
It feels like everything I do in life, it just isn't complete.
Now the best days of my life are more bittersweet.

"Hopeless devotion" sounds ever so fake;
my heart is spellbound but my mind's not found.
I wonder will the pangs of your heart ache
when longing harangues and I'm not around?
There is no honest gain to your crying;
it is just a chain which does not restrain.
How wide - the gap of insincere lying?
It serves to unwrap memories of pain.
This falling in love stuff is too easy;
yes, to hang is rough and to bond is tough.
I am asking, “How long will you love me?”
Your forever may not be strong enough.
Changing the paradigm, we can adjust.
We have hills yet to climb; hope at its prime.
We'll build love's foundation on truth and trust.
Laying them as groundwork will take some time.

Like oils on canvas
envision this
blades of grass weave
through her hair
along with
wild flowers
little flies
and little ants
The sun so bright
at top of day
she is laying in wait
as
Jehovah God Almighty Created
for my fingers like rain
on her skin to dance

It seems as though there is a great distance between us, even when we are next to each other in our bed.
I lay next to you, and I feel this frigid wall all around you, and no matter how hard I try to understand what the problem is, I never find a answer.
I want so much to make you happy, but I feel like I am always losing my way.
Because no matter what I try, it never seems to be enough to make you smile.
I wish that when I lay down next to you, you would hold me, and love me like you used to.
I don't want to be all alone while laying next to you.
