Just a Thought...

Yeah –
I
thought about it

I
Looked at all those pills
in their precise, pristine,
plastic bottle & yeah,
I thought about it

I
looked at the shimmering,
silky, shining straight-edge razor and

I
thought
about
it

I
looked at my wrists and yeah,

I thought about it!

~~~
I thought
about it
& then I
cradled the silent silver
seductive steel barrel of the
firearm in my hand
And boy howdy did I
think about it
~~~

But, now all in all,
now, just as always,
it was (l)on(e)ly

and simply a thought

Very clever especially the last use of only/lonely and it is surely an individual journey but it helps to believe it all might (LOL) mean something ... if I only knew FOR SURE ... so obviously your write here has set me to thinking and its a very well-deserved piece to be featured this week here at the Soup! Congratulations Rebecca.

I'm amazed at the depth you accomplished with two letters perfectly arranged. I think the indirect approach is what gives this piece it's true power.

Heart stopping. keep thinking but refocus. I particulary liked the 2nd to last line where more than 1 word if inferred. Light & Love Debbie Guzzi
