"Amid the jagged shadows of mossy leafless boughs; "

               Samuel Taylor Coleridge

He dwells on the sound, of the leafless branches
Describes the trees, admits the guiltless eye
In conversation with frivolous jagged...

Premium Member Jagged
Jagged edges of this morning,
clad in black skies dark adorning,
   issues now it’s subtle warning
   leaving living souls depressed.

Jagged are emotions teeming;
   deep within, our hearts are screaming;
‘pon our cheeks our tears are...

"Amid the jagged shadows of mossy leafless boughs;"

I sit alone in the Winter of my life
To ponder, the length of years by my own design

Here in this dim-lit realm of shades
I need to leave love's tribulations
on the barren floor of my mind
and free my soul...

" Amid the jagged shadows of mossy leafless boughs"
  - Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Gold tinged paints dripped from the air,
under the clear opalescent autumn sky,
jade foliage turned to full-bloom flower,
I flew my heart like a bird over the canopy.

The canopy of your allure so beguiling
took...

"Amid the jagged shadows of mossy leafless boughs"- Samuel Taylor Coleridge
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  Encompassed by autumn's gloam
Naked limbs reach for the sky
But it's just the season in which they call home
As they endure till spring is nigh

In the tangled obscurity...

Premium Member Jagged Claws
Stealing what the day won
grey clouds evoke despair,
choking a waning sun.

A dullness dims the air
and flower petals close,
in order to prepare.

Bruised indigo splotches
dapple diminished blues,
with dark purple blotches.

Flashing within the gloom
lightning intensifies;
with a thunderous boom.

And its jagged claws scratch
at the air in the sky,
searching out...

Born To Walk, A Dark Path Of Jagged Stones

Born to walk, a dark path of jagged stones
too oft full of mistakes and ragged moans,
lone flying feather, blown in raging storm
black-hand of death, tis but our aging norm.

Begging for more Time, with sorrowing pleas
doomed within forest...

Jagged Water
I live upon a shard of glass
deeply set in a morass
once a year the sun does shine
and I reflect what isn't mine

Then you come and touch my face
and tell me there’s a different place
you promise me it’s really there
and actually, it’s not that rare
and from...

With a pain wrapped around

She wished she knew of...

Premium Member Canaries of a Jagged Mind
A bouquet of canaries came calling.
A yellow rose quartette.
They expected nothing, just sweetly sang.
Preened the pangs of life away.
They were just looking for a place to rest.

The had been flushed from the hills and valleys.
but never did they once complain.

Life continued on.
With days and...
