Amid the Jagged Shadows
"Amid the jagged shadows of
mossy leafless boughs; "
Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Amid the jagged shadows
Being left alone in a state,
so destitute
With a pain wrapped around
her, so absolute
She wished she knew of
some way to cope
So lost in grief, she had lost
all chance of hope
The pain pulled her down
made her feel so low
Upon her soft cool cheeks
tears unchecked did flow
Unbearable pain within her
chest would ache
She prayed to god it was
some cruel mistake
Amid the jagged shadows
of leafless mossy boughs
Light had left her, now the
darkness she must allow
