Amid the Jagged Shadows

"Amid the jagged shadows of mossy leafless boughs; "                           Samuel Taylor Coleridge Amid the jagged shadows Being left alone in a state, so destitute With a pain wrapped around her, so absolute She wished she knew of some way to cope So lost in grief, she had lost all chance of hope The pain pulled her down made her feel so low Upon her soft cool cheeks tears unchecked did flow Unbearable pain within her chest would ache She prayed to god it was some cruel mistake Amid the jagged shadows of leafless mossy boughs Light had left her, now the darkness she must allow
