Ignorant Time

IGNORANT TIME

I went up before a judge because it is a crime
to be at all ignorant in this place and time.
I was living evidence and the judge he saw this too
so I awaited his decision as to what he planned to do.
He said "This is my verdict" with a very solemn look
"I hereby sentence you to a year of reading books"
I said "Judge we've got a problem, though it's guilty that I plead
in no way can I do the time because I cannot read."
'then it's back to school with you' he said 'and I don't care
if you have to spend the rest of life in there.'
I said 'Judge I will do anything that this court deems fit
but it was in that very place I became illiterate!'

Premium Member I Cannot Indulge the Ignorant

ignoring ignorance annoys the ignorant ~ indulge them? I can't

same old redundant story ~ on a soap box for an ounce of glory

too much of the same old chatter ~ spewed from the mouth of a Mad Hatter

Alice will gladly pet the Cheshire Cat ~ if it'd make him chase a rat

to all en bloc, don't swallow that drink ~ write your own poetry with ink

Premium Member Ignorant Perceptions

Today, I'm lost for words,
something seems so absurd.
Ignorant perceptions,
lead to blind deceptions.

My mind begins to rot,
being judged for that i'm not.
I curse those erratic eyes,
full of superficial cries.

In your selfish desire,
you wanna set me on fire,
wrap my neck in barb wire,
then you think I'm a liar!

Hatred has your thoughts ruled,
you're in need to be re-schooled.
Venom that has you fooled,
means your heart can't be cooled.

Save your sorry's, there's no need,
you just want to see me bleed,
but trust me you wont succeed,
on my success you won't feed.

Premium Member Drunk and Ignorant

A noble story one that ought to be our good host laughed and swore the games begun. Come match the knights tale if you can sir monk. To bellow arms and blood and bones he swore. A noble one I'll pay off the knights tale lets do this right. You tell yours by and by either I'll speak or go on my own way. Everyone listen but first i will propound that i am drunk i know it by my sound. For I'll tell a golden legend and a lie. Forget your ignorant drunken bawdiness it is a sin and great foolishness. Tell us of other things you'll find to lack i see you are angry with my tale but why. cuz you are a fool your head is overpowered by the wine. If you are not enjoying yourselves then cut off my head but as i drink my wine and ale. Whoever won't accept what i decide will pay for everything we spend along the ride. So hold up your hand if you accept my speech reflect a little and don't hold me to blame if you choose wrong don't lay it on my head. And both of them had bawdy tales to tell theirs no sense making earnest out of game.

Premium Member Ignorant Madness

Ignorant Madness

I thought initially and first my worst fear is fear of fear
that is too global though and I hold dear the fear quite near
misguided far on global planet humankind removed from sanity
with ignorance and fighting firing greed destruction vanity

This morning I woke up to UK Brexit xenophobia social exclusion
and am afraid of nationalism egotism and infused perfusion
of hatred mongering of warfare propaganda into mindless mind
when harmony and peace togetherness cohesion would be kind

Compassionate and loving sharing compromising stance solutions
on cooperation refuges disaster poverty are better contributions
to equal chances on the planet kindness love and loving kindness
rather than deluded independences of ‘us and othering’ blindness

My anxiety and fears stem from history crusading slaughter
with crosses skeletons marching fascists many poppy fields to water
On every TV screen we cannot fail to notice killing for no reason
bleeding hungry marginalized annihilation genocidal treason

I fear more wars on the horizon bloodshed fused insanity the maiming
of humans peoples nations countries dignity when inhumanity needs taming
First prize to fear of wars destroying Universe my children and what could be
so beautiful if we would feel could reason use some empathy and see…

Ignorant Criticism

there's improper usage
of the English language
how can one manage,
to read something so below average?!
                oh, the grammatical errors,
                and the punctuation terrors!
                so many spelling horrors
                none of what literature requires
lack of capitalization
and over dramatization
ruining the theme's creation
and the flow's demonstration
                 those who ignorantly criticize
                 have sadly failed to realize
that to capture a poem's essence
the poet must use creative license
to form interesting sentences
and put them in unique sequences
                 the poet must think artistically
                 and express emotion creatively
                 and therein lies the beauty
                 of writing poetry

Premium Member Let Us Begin Instructing the Ignorant

To speak a truthful opinion correctly dressed
attacked by false faces clearly visible hate
trying to shut down facts crying victim's
Judgemental liars falsely claiming right's
let's look into your heart and see who pulls the strings
Firstly you support human sacrifice
from there on in everything uttered is cornered
becoming a lost cause when it boils down to lecturing
shape shifting words that overturn
the righteousness of our cause and beliefs

Worthless views push agendas overshadowing the truth
then with branding irons enslaving good values
biting with venom hook line and sinker
taking a back seat as you begin war cursing honesty

This battlefield lawless in its behavioural patterns
accuses those caring virtues of being on the opposite side of the coin tossed here where wisdom holds ground
when clearly they are spinning out of control
condemning those of us trying to save them

This split in the tongue clearly is trapped morally corrupted
begging your forgiveness under blindness
take a long hard look in the mirror reflection bitterness
we are all sinners at the end of the day
a firm purpose of amendment brings you closer to the light

Premium Member Ignorant

Did not finish school
Don't use big words
Want ALL people to understand
Use simple , normal, English words

Other people did not receive highest level of education
Some say they're stupid
Abnormal
Less educated

Need help
Other people think, unimportant
Ugly
Looser

Apologetic
I am ignorant

The Ignorant Fools and I

I envy those ignorant fools
Those smiling idiots
Worry nothing

I am mad
Of my own situation
Frustrated but no action

And the ignorant fools
Envy me
That I have a place called home

I can argue all day
The grass is always greener on the other side
But all I have to do is just shut up and be grateful

Premium Member Humanity

Hostility and hatred are daily, wrongly, sustained and fed.
Unjust and unfair ones create chaotic laws and discrimination.
Multitudes of people ignorantly choose to live from their egos.
Afghanistan armies war to harm others, even their brothers .
Nations of violence make or take our innocent beds.
Individuals daily pray for a comforting spiritual clue
Throughout life, despite erratic dances with fear, and
Yield we would gladly do if love became the rule.

Ignorant Wisdom

I
If "I don't know" means I fall short on my own, U will see magic

II
It takes courage & humility to tell other humans, "Before The Universe, I'm nothing"

BIO NOTE: No internet or connectivity here for more than 14 hours. I lost one 14-line poem, but this Monoku effort made it to PS. More tales to make poetry? ThanX for reading, PS. Shalom, shalom

Ignorant Pride

To stand and tell the world,
that I do still love you,
would do me no harm,
but would only add to your ill charm.
To let you know,
would never do.
To let you know that
you still get to me late at night.
to tell you of the uneasy,
feelings that are just not right.
That would be to go
against my own pride,
these things I cannot
confide. So for
everything that has
a price attached to
it, there truly is
a cost. I pay
for my pride
with you as my loss.

Ignorant Bliss

Back in the day
There was many a name
For all the groups in school
We’d label ‘em all

The bros
Bro hoes
Asians
And nerds

Some were outcasts
Some were punks
Some were skaters
And some were lunks

No matter the person
Each had a name
It was quite the simple game
All in good fun

The divisive nature
Of this attitude
Caused much hatred
And was quite immature

In the grand scheme
It was just high school
We could all act a fool
Innocence was bliss

Premium Member Dick the Ignorant

DICK, you think yourself fearless
Protected by your screen
Shaming and blaming ,being hurtful
So brave and bold when unseen

Now DICK ,its obvious you don’t refrain
From spewing out uneducated remarks
Maybe that’s all you know
And ignorance is embedded in your brain

Your behaviour presents in a few ways
Via comments , poems and one liners
Abundant with insults and sarcasm
Lacking compassion or praise

DICK ,it’s apparent you think you are clever
Viewing the rest of us as quite thick
But the truth is really quite simple
You are no clever DICK!

No doubt you consider yourself special
Unique , one of a kind
However, there are so many other DICKS like you
Simply Ignorant and blind

DICK ,I do not understand you
I will never know your reasons why
Why not step out of your comfort zone
And give compassion a try

DICK, there is something important I need to say
Regarding your vicious remarks
Can you please stop doing handstands?
And talking out your a..e!!!
