Premium Member You Hit When I Was Low

You hit when I was low
The pain you caused, you know
Threw dust on glitter glow
Made weeds of sorrow grow
Cued pent-up tears to flow

You hit when I was low

You hit when I was down
Made me a freak show clown
Took jewels from my crown
Gave not a smile but frown
Held me until I drown

You hit when I was down

You hit when I was sad
Made good turn sour, bad
Streaked pain into my glad
Bandied words like “mad”
Spilled ink on writing pad

You hit when I was sad

You hit when I was lost
Clueless to what it cost
Flowers: blighted in frost
My sentiments you tossed
My boundaries you crossed

You hit when I was lost

You looked down from on high
Not hearing heavy sigh
Not seeing tears I cry
Not caring if I die
And Still you don't know why…
To you I’ve said, “Goodbye”

Premium Member Hit and Run

EMOTIVE WRITE

I never had the chance to meet my Mummy
She was killed in an accident … they couldn’t save her
Hit and run that’s what Daddy says
Daddy cries when he talks to me about her

I never had the chance to meet my Mummy
She died from her injuries
The doctors did an operation and saved me
Daddy cries when he talks to me about her

I never had the chance to meet my Mummy
Daddy shows me lots of photographs of her
He says that I am beautiful like she was
Daddy cries when he talks to me about her

Every day Daddy takes me to visit Mummy
He said she is asleep with the angels
I wish I could cuddle Mummy in her bed
Daddy cries when he talks to me about her

Hit Me With Your Best Shot

C'mon you ole devil, take your best shot!
You kidding? That's it? Is that all you got?
I know where I'M going; He's saved me a spot
I'll warn you once more in case you forgot
You're messing with one of God's children

I'm CHOSEN, you see and that is my role
You WILL NOT BEAT ME if that is your goal
You may take my body but can't touch my soul
Go back and gnaw in your fiery red hole!
You're messing with one of God's children

I'm STRONG from the trials that I have been through
The fears and the tears from paying what's due
I've felt His wrath and His grace and love too
I've seem much tougher than the likes of you!
You're messing with one of God's children

I'm bald as a baby's naked behind
My chest is a wreck but you won't hear ME whine!
My looks ain't the book on how I'm defined
You might wanna bear this thought in your mind
You're messing with one of God's children

Go bug someone else you think you might scare!
Someday I'll sit back in my rocking chair
With those who I love, laughing at despair
If not, that's okay, I'm in my Lord’s care
You're messing with one of God's children!

*Dedicated to my daughter who is a breast cancer survivor

Premium Member Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Hit me
Punch me in the face
Kick me if you must
I need to feel your pain
I need to know
Understand
Where you have been
For with your gentle touch
I have been unaware of the depth of your pain
When you kiss me bite my lip
Let my blood pulsate with understanding
I will scream out the words you are unable to articulate
Let me push into the centre of your need
Until we both find release
Use your nails
Dig into my back
I am strong enough
I will not be broken by your need
Do not be afraid of black ink
Or metaphorical anger
Hit me
Pound upon my chest
Until both our hearts feel
Convulse with pleasured realization
No rules or limitations
Digress to primal urges
Find your earlier self
Until you are lost
Until
Until
You are fully spent
Exhausted
Consolable
For I am not afraid
I am willing
Yes I am able
To take
Your worst
and "your best shot"
If only you are brave enough
To let me absorb your pain!

How deadly this sweet drink of praise,
that sipped, decays the thing it lauds.
A sly deceiver, 'tis, oh yes,
this chronic craving for applause.

A first place prize, the kiss of death,
to art original and free.
But now is surely lost I fear,
in muddy mires of mimicry.

A Pretty Sound-Hit Me With Your Best Shot

A Pretty Sound-Hit Me With Your Best Shot
By: Aidan Gilbert

At the park swinging
I heard my phone ringing
Picked it up and heard my Mom crying
The cancer spread, I was told I am dying
It sucks to know you only have two weeks
And to live them in a hospital bedridden too weak
Staring at the ceiling colorless eyed
Hiding the question that burns my jumbled mind
Why did God choose me to die
My parents sitting at my dying side
So quiet I can practically hear my brother two stories down trying not to cry
Taking the elevator with my grandparents to see if his only sister is alright
In my dreams I scream at God
Why did you do this?!
Was there some pretty picture on my way here I missed?!
Well you hit me with your best shot
My remaining cheerfulness you get to watch rot
All of this broke me down
For the first time calm lying still in my hospital gown…
I just wanted to have heard a pretty sound
I was taken by something out of my sight
But I wasn’t truly hurt that I wouldn’t be able to put up a fight
It was me as a fifteen year old girl and being robbed that right.

When the storm is cold and strong
and I feel as I'm going under
far out into the northern sea
                                     The ice cold wind
                                  stinging my wet cheek

Some days the sea takes me
in waves of pain and heavy thoughts
Bitter storms will come and they will pass
no matter how I deal with them
Right now the sky is dark gray

Premium Member No More!

Please don't hit me again, please, please no more
Her tiny whisper met with a slammed door
and motor revved, as his car sped away.
But, he would be back by the end of day.

He would tell her that he would change his way.
"Babe, you know I didn't mean it," he'd say
"It's just there are many problems, you know.
If I don't find ease, at work I might blow."

Crumpled tissue lay tossed beside her feet.
reminders this madness would soon repeat.
She could tell Mom, who'd tell the neighborhood
Dad beat her, so she'd thought Mom understood.

Someone who listened was her best friend, Sue,
who told her exactly what she should do:
Find a group that protects against these things,
and you'll find the help togetherness brings.

When he got home that day, he found a note
that said, "Bud, here's a note that you can quote:
I hope you find that ease you're looking for.
Me: You'll not hit again. I've said No More!

Hit Or Miss

I imagine a world better than this
Only to realize it’s hit or miss
Some days you hit the ball out of the park
While other days it’s hard to see where to start...

Seeing is believing and belief it will grow
All that I need shall be all that I know
Sometimes things aren’t as they appear
The perspective changes as you grow near.

Hearing without listening nothing is heard
To think you just know is quite absurd
Many things change from one day to the other
As your perspective changes you will discover.

I walk out today with no destination in mind
I open my eyes and it’s a treasure I find
I get on board so I don’t get left behind
Vision returns where once I was blind.

I need to work more on developing faith
Make it a home a place that is safe
Sometimes I’m stubborn and try to save face
This is the time I must learn grace.

Te sun sets and the day is done
The horizon greets the vanishing sun
I hope to do better than the day before
Only reason is because I want this more.

Hit the Ground 3-1-10

its hard to breath,
but im doing it,
cant let you see,
that i might not be "okay"
the first time ill ever lie to you,
might just begin today,
breath baby breath,
as the rain falls down,
breath baby breath,
or i might just fall to the ground...

its hard to sleep,
so i lie awake at night,
cant let you see,
that it hurt me today inside,
to see you flirting with another girl,
when im still stuck on you as my world,
breath baby breath,
as the rain falls down,
breath baby breath,
before you fall face first on the ground...

its hard not to cry,
but i hold it back,
cant let you see,
that my heart has snapped,
cant let you know,
that im dieing inside,
all i can say is i love you goodnight,
breath baby breath,
before you drowned,
breath baby breath,
dont hit the ground...

Elmo Hit Woody Woodpecker

Elmo Hit Woody Woodpecker

Woody Woodpecker was going too fast he hit dust
When Elmo ran right after him in earnest eager must
Oh my, oh my, that was a real wild hit and bad image
Too bad for Woody Woodpecker looked like a squashed spinach.

How agile a computer are you?
And how good as angel are you?
And how bad a Lucifer are you?

Hit me with your best shot
Do you have etiquette?
Do you have netiquette?
What are your impact in progress?
How many people have you shown the right way?
How many people have you misled on the right may?
How many people does your actions extrude tears of sorrow in their eyes?
How many people does your actions extrude tears of joy in their eyes?
What are your actions that undermined you that you would saw His

Premium Member Nashville, a Dog Gone Hit,

I left my hometown and didn't much look back,
headed southward bound in my Cowboy Cadillac,
arrived at this store to grab me some snacks,
Yea, they're right about this town, of how it really attracks,

Yea, here in the town called Nashville, where the Grand Ole Opry's on TV,
They say it's the real deal, where upcoming singers need to be,
but I don't do much singing, 'cause the hound dogs howl at me,
though I sure hope it's worth bringing, my songs, for some to see,

I've got them on the internet, downloading them is free,
I haven't had any right connections yet, but I'm hoping patiently,
gonna find me country singer, try to pitch them a dog gone hit,
like pitching a horseshoe ringer, you know you just can't quit,

Cupid's Arrow Hit a Braggart

Cupid's arrow hit a braggart!

------------------

Your sight stays in my eyes! Your undying love lives in my heart!

When you cry I shed tears! When you wince I'm struck by a dart!

We met for just one moment! In a glimpse our love story did start!

How can our souls be so close! When we are a whole world apart!

You entranced me when our eyes met! Was it some charming art?

Since then I feel incomplete without you! A body without any heart!

I wish I'd told you I can't live without you! Asked you not to depart!

I keep waiting when you'll return! You're my life, O my sweetheart!

When friends talked about love at first sight, I shrugged them apart!

I vowed it'd never happen to me! But Cupid's arrow hit a braggart!
