"She's the Go Go Go Girl"
She’s the Go Go Go Girl
Livin' in the mo’
Likes to put on a show
Just for a li'l while
make you laugh and smile
Just for a li'l while
Her mumma’s sayin'
whatcha' doin' li'l sista?
Keep dancin’ like that
in your twister skirt,
you’re gonna get yourself
a true blister mister!
Forget the Twerk.
She's the Go Go Go Girl
She's got places to go
and seeds to sew,
The Go Go Go Girl.
She's livin' in the mo'.

There are so many sounds
That are enjoyed by so many
But the sounds i love most
Are by plectrum or penny
Lindsey Buckingham playing "Go Your Own Way"
Even Joe Perry makes "Walk This Way" say
Eric Clapton and his solo on "Cocaine"
Don Felder with "Hotel California" listening time and time again
Peter Green strumming "Man Of The World"
David Gilmour and Pink Floyd's "Time" the best i have ever heard
Jimi Hendrix with the amazing "Hey Joe"
Alex Lifeson axing "Working Man" in Toronto flow
Pete Townsend from the Who "Won't Get Fooled Again"
Neil Young and his anthem "Like A Hurricane"
George Harrison delights with "Here Comes The Sun"
Kerry Livgren from Kansas state "Carry on Wayward Son"
Tom Scholz of Boston with their "A Man I'll Never Be"
Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin as their "Whole Lotta Love" riffs free
Neal Schon on a Journey "Who's Crying Now"
Nancy Wilson Seattle's Heart "Crazy On You" wows
The sounds you read above, are just my ones of many
Whether they are played by a plectrum, or played by a penny
I did mention above, that i loved Pink Floyd's "Time"
But second to it, is Slash's "Sweet Child of Mine"
Poetry Soup Is…
A place to post words and be heard
a platform for prose, a poet’s eatery
A sonneteer’s palace, for the sagacious or the absurd
A silver chalice that pours golden poetry
Rhymed and skillfully quilled
Artful rhythmic compositions, sublimely finished
Inspirational ink spilled,
authentic and unblemished
Poetry Soup Is…
Ramen in a cup
Slurp up noodles of literary lines grand
or footles so clever that never end
by Brian Strand
Sensual scribbles we sup,
Miraculous moving messages
Tasty spiritual nibbles
Share Zen in a bowl
Pho ga is chicken and
miso broth for the soul,
Inspirational Ink that takes
the breath away
Tsunami of wisdom
Confusion, and disarray
Poetry Soup Is…
Sovereign power poets, feud they may
Both mixes are needed, Sweet and Sour
Poe “The Raven” guy and Longfellow to my dismay
We become seeded, behind the pen there’s power,
We allude to epic ballad chowder
Gently add an attitude to an articulate mind
Pink sea salt, red chili powder
With crushed white pepper be kind
Without comparison where would we be?
It was George Harrison, his plagiarism
My Sweet Lord, to another’s tune he’d copy
Poetry Soup Is…
We came aboard this friendship—fleet liner
All that’s needed is a gift of language
And we have a thick savory brothy soup diner
Harmonic words woven together
It takes me a bit longer than most to write
of unrequited love and forevers
Botch it up I might, it’s swim or sink!
For a brain to pick such as mine
I should have used the days wiser
Tells of withered wasted time, I think
I thank my lucky stars
I am a verse improviser
In great respect of the band I grew up listening to
as sure as Mom passed down Saturday Chores
for I had been chosen to scrub bathroom floors `
Yet a familiar sound would bring me to keep scrubbing
The red album, The blue album , The White album
Then .. Abbey Road , always remembering the sad look on
Ringo's face , something hard to understand underneath~
I get it now, what you were saying all those years ago ,
the many sad lonely tears , secret tears , secret fears
For Maxwell's Hammer was a real one . It wanted silence
Going back ..remembering when John Lennon died
I was in Arkansas saddened with the world .
Then seeing his face saying " Drag isn't it "
No .. this was not my hero in music and song .
he was a stand in hired William , he filled his shoes
bringing diversity to create so much beautiful music from loss
One left standing , alone;; grief struck on back cover ~
The other identity hidden, tried to be part of ..coming together
his world of secrets
He to suffers today , in fear , Faul~
Too many years gone by .let us tell the Truth. Let us be free
The very sad long and winding Road ~
Let us Bury our real Paul.
No more " Mystery tour "
No more fear
Let him be in peace ~

GIVE ME SOME TRUTH
John, was born October 9, 1940, in Liverpool
He met Paul McCartney in 1957
John and Paul formed a close working relationship ... COME TOGETHER
Young and fearless guys with music as the common interest
Over time, it became a REVOLUTION
When we talk about John Lennon, his name associates with The Beatles
With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney,
George Harrison and Ringo Starr
WELL, WELL, WELL in the music world it became POWER TO THE PEOPLE
John left The Beatles in September 1969, a new TICKET TO RIDE
CLEANUP TIME for the skilled songwriter, vocalist and guitarist
- He would continue as a solo artist BLESS YOU
I became LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS when I listened to his music
LIVING IS EASY WITH EYES CLOSED, sounded so beautiful
NOBODY TOLD ME, that John was actually a heavy drug user
IT'S SO HARD ... to deal with
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE, greatest of all is love
IMAGINE, John and me in the NORWEGIAN WOOD
STARTING OVER, a new life in my home country
MOTHER ... HERE WE GO AGAIN ... I was in love
GROW OLD WITH ME John,
happiness is a word that tastes sweet in my mouth
Together with you, the song begins to find the right sound
STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER
I AM THE WALRUS - a stupid young girl who dreams
NOBODY LOVES YOU (When You're Down And Out)
John lived on BORROWED TIME,
bitter rivals and demons sparkle in the air
I feel lonely ... and I'M SO TIRED
MOTHER said : YOU GOT TO HIDE YOUR LOVE AWAY
... YA YA

"Kiss the Leopards"
Kiss the leopards
before dying
confiscate their spots
for memories
ever changing
to place as stars
stamped across a sky
of evergreen
where hidden lions smile
writing out their scores
on blank canvas
clean sheets for clouds
waving sober dreams
turning pages dog-eared
notes marked in pens unclear
the eagle eyed watching
sunflowers pressed in between
where azure bluebirds
fly invisible, messages unseen

1.
Material life in the Material World:
Duality in every direction:
As Heaven above is,
So, the earth below:
With every delicate, red, mysterious rose,
A proverbial, wounding thorn ...
2.
Suburban splendor:
A life of "quiet desperation";
Holy apparition, manifestation,
Suburban confession:
One fine, fine house;
Five exquisite rooms inside;
But not one friend
In any one of them.
One calls through the door of each:
There's no reply; nothing; nada;
Just the sound of the proverbial "crickets chirping".
But unlike the stand up comic, struggling on stage for
A laugh, facing the blank, staring faces of the audience,
One knows there's no one "out there",
Knows one can't "hear them breathing".
There's only solitude,
Only the sound of one's own heart beating,
Finally coming back to one's senses.
3.
Chance, chaotic and mistaken:
Father and child suddenly, unexpectedly -
Trade mutually alienated, hostile glances,
Father versus child, the father the fool -
In an existential fog:
Another small, quiet death,
Saving beauty lost,
A moral universe crashed and burned,
For now ...
4.
Endless summer:
The Ides of August
[Ancient Roman feast day for the slaves]
Sunday, August 13
Summer vacation at the shoreline;
Somehow, girlish and laughing,
Diana in tow, eyes alive;
And there, some way thriving:
Every mother, every daughter,
Every child: Loving, fervent prayers to the Goddess.
And a night like a dream:
Dreams dreamed asleep,
And ones dreamed awake;
The flower of the day time
And the flower of the night.
With gentle whispering, a sigh,
Ghostly pale, water lilies stir -
On a slowly, softly brightening shore -
Awaking, enraptured, basking
In a full moon's timeless glow.

literary critic extraordinaire (1809 - 1849);
And of Fernando Pessoa, renowned Portuguese poet;

And of George Harrison, of course, phenomenally influential Beatle;
singer/songwriter/musician; producer; Hare Krishna devotee (1943 - 2001);

That sweet singing guitar,
Magic from finger tips
When only tender thirteen
George, you serenaded me
That boy in awe,
This man still is
Your wonderful quiet demeanor,
Spoke volumes of you
My heart softly weeps,
For I'll miss you
Rock star, then hero
Such a gentle human
Such a magnificent friend,
Still, there is joy
Together again with John,
Sweet Lord embracing you
Will pray for you,
Please pray for me
Left behind on Earth,
Hoping someday to follow
So many love you,
Including my dearest lady
Greeting you in Heaven,
Embrace her for me
Knowing when you arrive,
Heaven, one angel brighter
Playing your glorious music,
John by your side
One last thought George,
Won't it be Super!

George Harrison
Quiet Beatle by comparison
Kermit the Frog was one of his peeps
Still his guitar gently weeps
*And then, I am finally free from house arrest
- Which is better news for me than it is for you and your family*
...I am bloodletting
All of my frustration
With a wee-bit
Of Danbert Nobacon...
...This is what usually happens:
Whenever someone listens
To the "Unfairy Tale" LP
Backwards
While sensually drunk
On homemade LSD...
?...This is also how
I mistakenly met
George Harrison
And Graham Chapman
While undertaking
My most recently failed suicide attempt....
...And both they, and Lenny Bruce agreed:
I probably should have aimed to succeed
If I really wanted anybody
To ever take my career in comedy
Any more seriously
Than my 'highly-underrated'
Criminal record...
"...Whatever..." I calmly stated
Before soundly adding
For all intents and purposes:
"Everyone always neglects to mention:
My criminal record
Has already gone
Triple platinum
In Japan and Sudan"

All That We Dream
When George Harrison sang,
“Yesterday, today was tomorrow
And tomorrow, today will be yesterday”
He was making a simple observation
On the nature of Life as a flow
We attach our momentary labels of time.
But he could also have said this applies
To all of us simultaneously in the flow
While attaching those labels as if outside,
And that this simple shift in perspective
Is the key to liberation, at least
From the burdens of this Life’s stress and strains.
Each day we do things
And when they are done, tomorrow or the next,
We are not the same person who did them.
The beauty of this is the one planning
Is never the same as the one executing
Nor the one enjoying the result.
So plan away, aim for the stars
Take that step, take the baton
On the endless journey
The endless stream of doing
As time and being flow together
Effortlessly accomplishing all that we dream.

TEARDROPS TURN INTO SONG
I can’t stop thinking about you
While my guitar gently weeps
To turn teardrops into songs new
I keep for you on my quivering lips.
While my guitar gently weeps
Looking for my life behind the locked door,
I keep for you on my quivering lips
The touch of my vibrant passion you’d adore.
Looking for my life behind the locked door
This is love is all I find, I want to tell you
The touch of my vibrant passion you’d adore,
You’d be on cloud 9, you’ve no clue.
This is love is all I find, I want to tell you
I’m tired, don’t let me wait too long,
You’d be on cloud 9, you’ve no clue
Your love is forever, gives melody to my song.
I’m tired, don’t let me wait too long
To turn teardrops into songs new,
Your love is forever, gives melody to my song:
‘I can’t stop thinking about you’.

Name of song artist: George Harrison - Song Title: "Isn't It A Pity."
Poem below:
The greatest song of all time
shows how all people are blind
we either can't see the forest thru the trees
or we simply don't care about anyone's needs
The greatest day we will find
is when we unfold the love in our mind
when we cure violence of all kind
we can peacefully learn to unwind
What greater deed can there be
when all people can finally see
the words sung in such a great song
It's a pity, you don't sing along
