Premium Member As Fresh As a Daisy

In my meadow the scent of spring ripples in air,
I see the dance of patina on dainty petals of daisy,
unfurling with the touch of dawn’s spectrum,
like your hazel eyes out of the trance of dream.

The flowers blossom in chromatic charisma of joy,
look up to the sunburst pallet of the seamless sky,
the essence is suffused with splendorous sparkle,
painting pristine portrait of your of surreal beauty .

As the satin night showers the silver tinsels,
floating in the mystique miasma of moonbeam,
I descry the sparkling sky descend in my garden,
you shine with sapphire hue as sprouting stars.

The celestial charm of golden glow,
pulsates in my heart with enticing rhythm,
that radiates the luring luster of exultation
from the core of fair petals of your floral face.

Pining for the embrace of your radiant purity
I make my yearning an ornate vase,
place a bunch of blooming buds,
that flower you for me as fresh as a daisy.

Freeborn

FREEBORN

Now ‘cross the fields and woods bird songs ring out
Unbounded exultation to survive
Their voices each a freeborn joyous shout

‘I am still here, a presence, had you doubt?’
Through dark cold months to cling on then revive
Now ‘cross the fields and woods bird songs ring out

Each chant communicates to those about
Imperative intent: continued strive
Their voices each a freeborn joyous shout

No gentle air to sooth a fractious pout
But gesture to persist and so to thrive
Now ‘cross the fields and woods bird songs ring out

As sun ascends to reassure all doubt
Lives then with procreation will contrive
Their voices each a freeborn joyous shout

The cyclic shape of life yet comes about
With each repeat we greet all creatures live
Now ‘cross the fields and woods bird songs ring out
Their voices each a freeborn joyous shout

                                    Light Shines In Total Darkness

A moment in time where love should leave
                           when incompatibility muddy crystal waters
dissolves a tie that binds divine connection
widens the abyss as dream loudly shatters

Down on my knees I begged for a reprieve
gazes polarizing for to her nothing matters
in locked cages lay vestiges of desperation
intimacy now in tatters mutated to cinders

Aged moon will not commiserate then give
nebulous promises to stop onrushing tears
nor rays to light the path toward contrition
and turtle doves waving wings that glitters

Weary eyes reaching for salvation perceive
apparitions raising me up to alleviate fears
cleansing this heart throbbing in exultation
as grass springs anew...while grief withers.

Premium Member Gordian Knot

The Gordian Knot of perpetuity
woven around your heart
is a thick thread of anguish
created by poison fingers from internal pain

Born in a mass of dark muck that drowned innocence
in screams unheard
now feeds on the blood-soaked veins of lovers
like a vampire in ruthless exultation
that revives strength and vigor
to cold calculating eyes of worthless passion
dripping from the hungry sweat for those chosen
to share silk sheets in longing nights of fragile dreams

To leave their hearts an empty husk
that tumbles away in winds of confusion
across a serpentine path of endless footprints
when their pain and torment become insufficient for pleasure

If I only knew what I know now

I would not have entered this chamber
of fragrant scents and sheer elegant veils
where my flesh was torn by fingertip talons
leaving scars upon my naked back of tomorrows
where I emerged from this dung lit realm of fool's love
into a rush of shadows spinning away
from a vengeful mind filled with a reckoning
for an untold pain
covered now by the blank faces of passing lovers

I Dream Awake

Shredded remnants of foolish desire
Binding me long to this earth
Fade now
To small regrets
Of wasted time.

Strident bits of childish dreams
Holding me strong to this world
Fill instead
With pure reflections
Of grace.

And I sleep upon
Quiet pools of love
Sparkling brilliant blue
Against the harsh pull
Of arid pain.

And I dream awake
In visions of exultation
Binding me fast to heaven,
Borne along
By streams in my desert.

We Raise Them Up

Today we sing
great joy we bring
To those sweet souls
words long forgotten

For just a while we take them
to a peaceful magical place
          a place they knew
                 a place they loved
a place to put smiles on their face

Even those who do not speak whose memories faded long ago
They’ll sing along inside their heads the words they used to know
And as the music starts to play deep inside a memory stirs
As slowly they will rock and hum before the words begin to come
And by the time we reach page two they sing along with me and you

‘Blue Moon’ ~ we sing ~ oh how they swoon
   ‘Delilah’ ~ ‘Lean on Me’
‘Sweet Caroline' ~ they start to move it really gets them in the groove

We sing with gusto they smile with joy
As memories return when girl meets boy
Our last rendition our final song
Full of joie de vivre the choir and me

We start to sing ‘You Raise Me Up’
I start to cry ~ I don’t know why it always makes me cry…
We raise the roof our souls entwine they almost touch the sky
Our spirits smile with exultation to cheers ~ applause ~ a celebration

For today we really made their day and they have made ours too
Monies sent to Parkinson’s UK we pray a cure is found one day

We bid them farewell ~ We wave them goodbye
I'm so blessed to be part of this choir
It is food for my heart each time I take part
With lovely friends who like me have “P”

Singing together in our Parkinson’s choir
I feel truly alive ~ I feel almost on fire…

Written 12th February 2020

I wrote this today after a performance by our Parkinson’s Choir, where we entertained some delightful folk who are living out their final days within a care home. It was truly inspirational…

In My Heart Your Song Is Ever Singing - Valentine's Collection

(Valentine's Collection)

2.

Within my heart, you lie in sweet repose,
your gentle breathing tells me that you dream,
my Valentine, in dream you are my rose.

In blissful dreams, you are ever the theme,
that lights my heart with hopeful happiness,
as we do walk within the stars that gleam.

In peaceful thoughts together we progress,
our passion burns as fire across the sky,
love's desire we shall now come to express.

Now luna's comfort we share as we fly,
through God's timeless sea we both are winging
deep in our exultation, we do cry.

To love's temple all our love we're bringing,
in my heart, your love is ever singing.

Premium Member Death Is Beautiful

Our bodies are designed for birth and death,
the brain is subconsciously in control.
At birth, we instinctively take a breath
without being urged; we're born to our role.

Our bodies release endorphins at birth
to ease our passage, dulling birthing pain.
We arrive pre-programmed for life on Earth,
and it's all possible, thanks to our brain.

When dying, your body knows what to do;
you start to drink less, eat less, and sleep more.
Your brain releases endorphins anew;
ensuring your spirit is set to soar.

Death is beautiful; if you only knew
of the exultation that awaits you.

Going Home

There are places that connect us to our past
Points of anchor which once linked us to known havens
Those forms, reflections printed on our hearts
Evoke forgotten times as icons graven
And flag an instant signal, when we roam,
That we are nearing, once again, our home

There’s one such image ever in my mind
That long chalk ridge, a back-cloth to my youth
Like table, bare, where ancestors once dined
The shape with a simplicity of truth
It’s presence - a sensation visceral
Revealed in every upward glance peripheral

I will, time to time revisit loved location
The noble downland poised o’er fertile vale
To know again that sense of exultation
Well remembered image tells familiar tale
Then one day some time hence I’ll rise thereon
And stay ‘til winds scatter dust, and I move on.

Premium Member Heart In Blissful Embrace

I’ve to climb the formidable mountain of life,
the summit to be reached on the track of strife.
I surrender to the designed will of the Almighty,
in His prescribed intent I repose my trust entirely,
for I know unstinted faith will pave the path for me
and I shall find myself on the peak of joy surely.

The tumultuous ocean of existence I need to sail,
the last anchorage waiting I'll find without fail,
I'll kindle the beacon of hope at the edge of time,
in the stormy sky I’ll see the silver-lined clouds climb.
In the dark night the pole star will shine bright,
guide me in ordained course to the destination right,
the divine light will take me to the shore of liberation,
where I'll be suffused with enthralling sense of exultation.

The darkness in the pasture of suffering I’ll illumine
with aura of the supreme having thousand sun’s shine,
find in the depth of gloomy soul lotus bloom bright,
the candle of selfless altruism laced with love I'll light,
see it radiate divine rays with the glow of God’s grace,
perceive in euphoric heart the blissful sublime embrace.

Premium Member My Dancing Queen

My old bones swayed to the old tune
bringing back memories long forgotten.
My spirit rejoiced in exultation
of a ne'er forgotten loving excitation.
For you’re my Dancing Queen.....

There you stood like a wallflower,
indifferent, lukewarm, nonchalant;
seemingly thinking about other things.
You drove me mad, my dancing queen,
you taunted me perilously, wretchedly.
How could I ever bear the teasing looks
you guardedly gave me, my lovely nymph?

I was dancing with some insipid teen,
definitely not having the time of my life;
my loving eyes piercing your sensuous curves
like Eros arrows hitting at random and at will.
Yet you looked on as if I was not there.
The music grew to a raw crescendo....
For you were my dancing queen
and suddenly I was madly in love with you.

I twirled, spun and tripped over you.
The music stopped, dancers gazed at me
with a heartfelt pang as I lay sprawled at your feet.
A racking malaise stabbed my whole being
until I felt your strong hands help me up
steadying me, and leading me to a chair.
And you were only nineteen!!!
The music began again, the old familiar strains
How nimble you could dance,
Oh how I yearn for that sweet moment
For you were my dancing queen......
You danced away while I stayed put
as my foot swelled with excruciating pain.
The euphoric dance came to a halt.

The lights went low.
You helped me to your waiting car.
I leant back, tired and abject
Until I felt your lips on mine;
the heavenly music began again...
yes, yes you’re my dancing queen,
you will always be my dancing queen.

Premium Member Life's Tightrope

Some days are diamond, some are stone
We all need a mix of diamonds and stones
Otherwise we would miss the comparison
If life was all diamonds, we wouldn't be able to
Handle those stone days
And all stone days, we would be on a suicide watch
The perfect mix produces balance
It produces happiness knowing
As bad as it gets, there's always better days ahead
I hear some of you saying, “Not in my life!”
Yes... in everyone's life or we wouldn't survive
Really think about your life
Unless your are in the .001% of the world's population
There have been times of exultation
And times when you didn't think it couldn't get any worse
Take heart my friendlies
If you're feeling down right now
Imagine how you'll feel when reaching the end
Balancing on the tightrope of life!

Premium Member Christian Lioness

I'm a Christian Lioness
of the Lion of Judah,
I had a tumultuous youth
and came to redemption.
To be forgiven as to forgive.
In His blessed mercy
I have pardon.
In Him there is pure love's
Holiness,
In Him there is forevermore.

I sing to Him in exultation,
or softly as an April whispered
breeze.
As I lift prayers to my Yeshua,
Rabboni, I cherish You!
You love humanity,
despite our grieving You,
and accepted willingly my
prodigal return with my
heart in joy for You.
I'm a Christian Lioness
of the Lion of Judah. ~

Piano Speak

I played my part, in the praise of the Lord,
Standing by the choir box, on my own accord,

Deft hands created a heart, centuries old,
With gilded corners and polished wood, set my soul,

The young little fingers of a fairy, that kissed,
Struck a hammer, in my strings lips,

A mild tap of dance, on the brass right foot,
Would sustain my melody into an eternal mood,

Crafted with the ability, to sound like a lark,
Across octaves and sharps, six and half,

The bard who was deaf, could hear through my touch,
And create symphonies, for an interminable march,

When the ‘Rose of England’, reached the Lords’ Abode,
Elton’s tenor, rained heavens, on a grieving road,

With my hammers and tongs, I make the world think deep,
Or weave a sweet lullaby, that puts little hearts to sleep,

Needless to spell, I, reside in your hearts,
In exultation or sorrow, I am always your part.
