Best Embellishing Poems
An echo of lovesome passion, an inspiration of unborn theme,
A muse hypnotic, adept at composing aspirations of my dream,
Omnipresent voice of being, poetry is my love, eternal as time,
Shaping expressions of mind, embellishing moments sublime.
Strumming music enamored, resounding from tenor of heart,
Humming chorus of life, emanating tunes lauding poetic art;
Melodies I compose, musings inimitable, to her they belong,
Lyrics woven in waltzing words; she’s been a refrain of my song.
She is sunshine glinting my day, a shiny star glistening my night,
My companion on journeys opulent, she’s been my utmost delight;
Yet, the contours of her bold imagination, I cannot ever define,
Neither can I restrict her freedom, nor her notions can I confine.
Moody yet engaging, fondly she paints tapestries of my mind,
Luring me to paradise~ metaphors, simile, cogently designed,
Tiptoeing in my amorous view, enticing me with reveries anew,
Softly as sun’s crimson rays, twinkle gems from morning dew.
Poetry is my spring, she is my summer, she’s elixir for my soul,
She’s fuchsia beauty on rosy arc of dawn, doting sights extol;
Alluring, charming, she’s resplendence gold, of autumn’s show,
She’s pure, snow-covered meadows, a season of falling snow.
Love is a swooshing whirlpool,
swirling, twirling and whirling -
intensifying porcelain emotions.
Floating helplessly,
like bubbles in a tepid breeze.
There are still flashbacks
an unforgettable memory,
where poets, painters and musicians,
rushed to liberate their excited muses.
Her
diamond droplet eyes dazzled,
embellishing her emerald dress.
A vision of clarity, curing sadness.
A solution to end solitude.
An unsung song, an unheard poem,
an unfinished masterpiece.
Who's pastels and lyrics were
hidden deep within my heart.
Ivory piano keys,
craving hands sought to touch.
Poised like a pristine soulful harp -
waiting to be stroked by
composed, elegant enchanted fingertips.
A persona delicately designed
in an angelic silhouette.
Radiant innocence, illuminating through
eyes manifesting heavenly hues.
Many infatuated suitors,
hungered to taste the last sip
from her untouched chalice.
Their tongues remained blowing embers.
In the backdrop of cupidity,
metaphorical arrow magnetised her bow.
Succulence of her lips, now forever moisten,
tenderness of her chest, endlessly soothes.

I begin as a covet, dulcet demure
pure in play, unbound to a dogma or tablature, a luscious lure,
I find that nerve of passion's verve nestled 'neath narcissistic comfiture
a covey of tingles taunting the ambition you serve, swift and swill I swerve,
in you I introduce a tempo of truth trailing a kiss along your spine's curve
a persuasion of perversion purring patiently in almighty allure,
reaching your pinnacle pulse I assure,
Entwining myself around your libido with nibbling nurture
binding you to the alter of painstaking pleasure I relieve with analgesic swelter
hoodwinking your will with a delicate dominance I am the prima donna capture,
embellishing the envisage of eros, I burnish organs keen with aphrodisiac welter
you become a devout captive to me, the divine dominator,
I am the matador confronting your impulsive power
the target of your sexual tremor,
spear tipped with warm vigor
into you I pound a wonder,
vice and virtue surrender
to principle superior in passionate plunder, for you become the conquer's lover,
taking my spirit from specter to flesh victor,
I will make a woman the vessel of volcanic velvet,
revolutionize female thighs, simmering the sighs in eyes,
make the wrap of a man's arms a hearth of healing heat soul felt,
his tongue a torch pinging with paced pause within mouths magnetized,
A coup de tat taken to your Shangrila,
weaknesses my wayfaring, strengths the servants of my junta
my sweet magic of mayhem laid upon your lithesome lips, the coup de grace -

I loved you once like sun rays love the earth
Like drenching rain that brings with it new birth
I loved you once like waves that reach for shore
And then recede to come in strength once more
I loved you once like stars that pulse with light
Held captive to the Milky Way’s delight
I loved you once like moonbeams touching trees
That dance within the branches as they please
I loved you once like clouds that grace the sky
Ethereal testaments to love on high
I loved you once like tender falling snow
Embellishing the world in splendid show
I loved you once like angels drawing near
To bring the needed comfort and to cheer
I loved you once like flowers dotting land
that blush in bloom of love in fusion grand
I loved you once, but once a lifetime fills
My life without you is devoid of thrills
I loved you once and earth was paradise
My sheer delight in love defied disguise
I loved you once; I love you for all time
You’ll never taste a love as sweet as mine
I loved you once, and once lives on in me
For you that once is part of history
Eileen Manassian
Do you ever write….just to write
Just to let your heart explode
Into a kaleidoscope of word colors
Embellishing the page of someone's life?
Does everything have to be a contest?
Guided by a theme
You forget the dream
Of your own magnificent thoughts?
Do you ever write…just to write
To release that fantasy
That prowls around in that gilded cage
Not sage
Not tamed
But that wildness that you keep
hidden inside
oh so unbridled
savage!!
Let it go free
unleash it for me
Write!
Write and break the bars of norms and forms
Of expected rules and lines
Rhymes and syllable straight jacket crimes
Oh…do you ever write
to let that madness free?
Do you ever write…just so you can breathe
To let go of pain so deep
the scream that tears across the page
Primal rage
At all who did you wrong
Killed and butchered your song
Eating you alive
Demon cries
clothed in sheep words by others
Not you
Let it be heard
That rebel yell
From internal hell
"cleanse me!"
Let your tears drop on the page
spent of rage
Knowing I will feel
empathy symphony of kindred souls
Write
For YOU
Write
For ME
Write
For what will be
No contest consternation
Just…
an disrobing of "spirit's clad in veils"
a naked camaraderie
we are both the same
What a shame
To twist and turn
And dress to please
Someone whose
taste may be stale
Who knows not how to tease
PLEASE
Just
Write
For you
Write
For me
And that contest
for NOW
Just
LET IT BE!
I want to see
Your naked soul!

The quotation is from Christopher Cranch's poem, Gnosis...I will share an
excerpt of this amazing poem...
Gnosis
THOUGHT is deeper than all speech,
Feeling deeper than all thought:
Souls to souls never can teach
What unto themselves was taught.
We are spirits clad in veils;
Man by man was never seen;
All our deep communing fails
To remove the shadowy screen.
Heart to heart was never known;
Mind with mind did never meet;
We are columns left alone
Of a temple once complete.
Like the stars that gem the sky,
Far apart though seeming near,
In our light we scattered lie;
All is thus but starlight here.
Christopher Cranch
So...let's disrobe and undress...without rules...Let's confess. Let our light
shine...not scattered but whole...body and soul.
In reality we are all gardeners,
wandering through the gardens of life
gently placing our seeds
into the mouth of the Earth.
Drifting through seasons,
anticipating the first glimpse of
Spring's splendour of sights
a new promise, a new beginning, a new love.
Butterflies and bees,
make love to the
fragility of blossoms -
embellishing nature's passions.
In my personal oasis,
princess of petals plants her love,
within the garden of my heart.
Fragrance of her flower garden,
leaves me silently breathless,
as we bloom in the vapours of our love.
Yet not all gardens are sincere.
Wilted path of premature petals,
leads to an unkempt province.
Walloping weeds wander through
naked rose stems with blood thirsty thorns
and I wonder, dismayed,
why anyone would neglect their garden,
when did cultivation become a crime?
So I remain, away from the darkness,
upon the silent bed of our own roses,
content with the honeysuckle,
suckling and soothing our souls.

I loved you once like sunrays kissing earth,
like drenching rain that brings with it new birth.
I loved you once like waves that reach for shore,
and then receded to come in strength once more
I loved you once like stars that pulse with light,
held captive to the Milky Way’s delight.
I loved you once like moonbeams touching trees
that dance within the branches as they please
I loved you once like clouds that grace the sky,
enchanting scene that draws a whistful sigh
I loved you once like tender falling snow
embellishing the world in splendid show
I loved you once like angels drawing near
to bring the needed comfort, hope and cheer
I loved you once like flowers dotting land
that blushed in bloom of love in fusion grand
I loved you once, but once a lifetime fills
My life without you is devoid of thrills
I loved you once and earth was paradise
My sheer delight in love defied disguise
I loved you once; I'll love you for all time
You’ll never taste a love as sweet as mine
I loved you once, and once lives on in me
Alas, for you that once is history
Eileen Manassian
The air is shivered; to displacements whim.'
From the Ides of heaven’s sphere
As smote was the skin of a cosmic drum
Throbbing walls of pressure ‘push in’.
Then down as silvered mail, are droplets thrown
Disgorged from Yahweh’s mighty quiver
Descending on, and over all creation
Glistening in sheaves, and slivers;
Igniting the energy of growth, in plant
Grass, rock and tree, a heavy hissing static falls
Across the fells, and far flung seas.
To drop.. and dropping… under and upon'
Darkling pines, also the great lakes waters.
Lozenged globes, reflective, scatter liquid light
In manifold freshening beads, too… carouses
Aloft in choruses; the damp clad whistling breeze.
Laurel leaves pendle and sway in harmony
and glistening mid-hued green, as sun bursts shine to
Kiss the rain, all embellishing; in tenebristic reverie.'

The stargazers got together
and spread a blanket out on the grass
of the lush and opulent lawn
Here, they all huddled together
astronomy addicted
they gazed as comets blazed
sad to see them fall
shooting stars
caught their eyes
but on the stars in the skies
constellation sewn
clustered or alone
The stars shone...
On these, they fixed their eyes
as they "oohed" and "ahhhed"
Celestially seduced- draw
It didn't matter
that some stars shone brighter
they all felt lighter
just being under star dusted canopy of night
This was their delight!
The starshooters were there
on an adjacent hill
they lost out on the thrill
grumbled and brewed
fumed and spewed
profanity at the lights
hanging high in the night
heaven's chandeliers
too bright they seemed
too dazzling and near
they were filled with fear
that the heavens would explode
so many stars...a heavy load
and so the star shooters
gathered their troopers
and aimed at the stars
Hoping to make them combust and fall
This would fill they with mirth
As stars collided with earth
Little did they know
stars couldn't be shot
Not by any old lot
They were meant to shine down
beauty and light
embellishing the night
with their wondrous light
a celestial delight!
The stargazers...now they
Well, what can I say?
They watched starworks at play
till night turned to day
and they then went on their way
Filled with delight,
What a sight!
Stargazer or starshooter
Tell me...
Which had it right?
Eileen Manassian
The term Starshooter is not my own. A super souper shared it with me the other day....I quite like it. Thanks!
Summer sunsets o'er majestic Pikes Peak are a wonder to behold.
Unequaled hues gild the western sky in flaming red and gold!
Mere artists will never portray on canvas such a glorious sight.
Magnificent ivory clouds enhance the scene much to my delight!
Embellishing this exquisite panorama with colors all aglow,
Reminds me of the bright hues in paintings by van Gogh!
Soon the sun will sink beyond the towering tors of Pikes Peak.
Ushered in is a mellow moon to make the ebon night less bleak!
Nary a sunset gracing the elegant form of Mount Kilimanjaro,
Shall compare to the painting in the sky that I'll view tomorrow!
Even though famed artists have created masterpieces in the past,
The brush strokes of The Master Artist will never be surpassed!

You, my love, you
Entrusted me into the burning arms of fervor,
Rested your knowing fingers upon skin ever glistened with tears
Graced the breath I dared to breathe when moments masterfully collided
We stand upon the edge like devils daring nature’s wrath
Your heels wrap around the very rim that border you and I from the air
The sky blue black vapors swirl into dark wonder vanishing, the stars like eyes flashing
As you whisper fiercely in my ear, daring me to push the limit
Begging me with pupils that reflect my own desires
Your entwining smile rivets in me nerve beyond present night
I squeeze the angels out of you in one melodious measure of movement
Encumbering you in all of me, rattling your frames
A lasting forest tall as terror thrilled upon a demon possessed storm
I push us off the sheer edge,
As we spiral in the depths of the ocean’s welcoming mouth
The weight of our past and present sufferings melting into complete passion
Cradling us in the bed of her deepest, darkest waters
My lips meeting the substance of your future words
Your tongue running along the traces of silence ever kept
Deep into the screams of inner woe, embellishing warmth from head to toe
Surrounded by the echoey, treasured lines of your heart,
Mastered from the very start
You lift me high into the love falls
Splashes of poetry dispersing my hair all around
Our eyes staring into each other’s
Locked into a world like no other
With revitalizing surety otherwise crippling,
With the deep dip of your sexy soul and perforating body,
I enter the realm of your rapturous reality
Captured willingly in your picturesque hungers
Through the very tunnel of your never-ending eyes…
The penetrating roars of your fulfillment take me by surprise
Yes, you, my love, you
Took me there tonight…
For down within those depths with you I would have eagerly allowed
The sorrows and agonies of my doubts to succumb
For inside the ancient oceans of your poetry do we love
We prevail as seraphs released from the prisons of poverty-stricken despair
Their descending smiles fermenting scents of eternal ecstasy

~Thank you again for inspiring! Lots of love!
My little room...my four walls.
I sit in one of the four corners--
Like an embryonic sac, lifeless in a state of non existence...
Embellishing in the silence as I travel the deserts—of a dusty mind.
I now switch corners... deja vu, the walls are closeting in
Everything is the same except smaller—oh such a hell
To ponder without thought...a holographic Holocaust
A devouring reality.
Each corner of the four walls a prismatic prison...
A convoluted construct—my four walls of the apocalypse
I switch corners again...I see foreverness
An Asylum refuge-sheltering my layering lies.
What am I?...a pensive reject, a pondering fool,
A thoughtless thought... a disconnect of an ancient memory...
I get to the last corner...I see a speck of a thought
A microbial element within the diminishing walls...

There are those who improvise within a structure,
with four beats to the bar like down home blues,
melodies and harmonies which stay within the fold,
embellishing the tune how e'er they choose.
Then there are cats who improvise to their own drummer,
inventing sheets of sound no ear has heard,
who bounce off one another, and break off from the norm,
Sun Ra's Arkestra, Sonny Stitt and Bird.
They wrote a new agenda, redistributing the forms,
inventing broader schemes of interplay,
as Jazz became a melting pot of signatures and styles,
through Ragtime, Big Band, Bop, until today.
America's indigenous art form,
born here, appreciated everywhere,
we are proud of all these marvelous musicians
who bring joy and recognition for us all to share.

Love Revisited
He welcomed the somber silence,
and cursed the torpid time that had passed
since his last visit.
Invasive weeds had overrun the place:
Colorful weeds ‘tis true
strange purples, yellows and rusty reds,
scattered here and there
embellishing the lonely place.
He sat on a stone and stared into a void.
Memories rushed into being:
memories long pushed back,
where murky banks held telltale thoughts
he always wished to repress.
How beautiful she was so long ago!
Could he forget that beauty after so many years?
It was not important. He loved her still.
A feeble bunch of forget-me-nots
Would mark the place he saw her last.
Were they enough to convince her soul
that he loved her still? No matter.
She deserved more that a small poesy
of low cost frivolous flowers,
bought on the spur of the moment
as if their offer would alone
atone for his disloyal past.
Is it not strange that after all these years.
he had come to pay his respects?
To remember the good and the bad?
The happiness and the sadness?
The dreams and hopes
and the disappointments
they shared together.
Yet together they made it,
They survived until some years ago
A heart block killed her.
Now she lived in a better place
And he could do nothing but sit alone grieving
and thinking fondly of her.
All around was silence
Except for the dirge of the cicadas song.
In his yearning, he discerned:
sometimes love is not enough.
Love is the blueness of the star sapphire sky
Where the moon bathes upon the indigo oceans
The tenderness of your voice and charismatic cry
Echoing ecstasy's of your ethereal emotions
Love is the strumming of a celestial symphony
Where our hearts pulsate within the violet vortex
Your embellishing embrace an eternal epiphany
The climatic creations of the cerebrum cortex
Love is the exchange of enamored energies
Minds that merge and mount the multi-verses
A sacramental succumbing of salacious synergies
Amidst the nebulous clouds where love immerses
Love is the continuous continuum of you and I
Holding hands beneath the deep sapphire sky.
