Poetry

Is not the poem
Is not the poet

Is the observations
Is the emotions

Is the diversity. entwined
Opposing views always sought

Is the love
Is the hate

Is the sadness
Of losing to fate

Is the laughter
Of a child’s dreams

Is the love
That is sometimes unseen

Except by the poet
Who in his lonely sadness sees

The beauty...

Premium Member A Clementine Duet
When tuscan tunes of twilight,
cascade as clementine confetti,
She searches for secret silhouettes,
swirling to the symphony
of sunflower serenades.

In the midst of faded fields,
marigold memories crawl back,
refraining yesterday’s
tangerine dreams.
Swans glide in
sullen grace,
illustrating a saffron
backdrop from
sweet sighs of
fauna’s concerto.

Harmony of melodies
is the idyllic essence...

Premium Member The Old Guitarist, Picasso - A Duet by Lioness Onpaper and Di11y Da11y
The searing sun has long been a revolving revelation of angst,
repelling songs of the skies, sung by the strings of the wings.
Pallid, poised only by muscle memory - a compositional backdrop,
past the point of revival, yet something inside me still ticks.

A trembling truth that never...

Premium Member Silver and Gold - a Friendship Duet
Silver and gold; silver and gold -
our friendship is a sweet treasure -
a bounty of gladness always to hold.
Silver and gold; silver and gold -
a value of two-heart measure.

Your concern cushions my every footstep.
You never lean - I freely walk, talk, dance -
Knowing you would...

Premium Member Tis the Season Collaboration With Carole Duet
In this season of festive cheer,
as hours fade into the new year,
spare a thought for those who live in fear,
who have no one to wipe away their tear.

Think of the children in this season of joy,
girls and boys without a single toy.
Their joy is...

Summer Storm

The wind blows – quick, hard, fast – the hot stillness is broken
Corn stalks weave wildly as the wind marches through it rows
Dust rises to greet this invading storm

Large drops of heavy rain hit with a thud
Lightening electrifies and paints the...

"Deep Duet"

When I write I feel my fingers tapping keys

In my mind they are stroking black notes and ivory

You are sitting with me

Place your warm hands on mine

“Metronome”, you whisper

Warm breath on my neck close behind

“But there are rules”, I say

I...

How can I get you out of my mind
When It's you I only want to twine?
Shall I befall to some lovers
When it's you I treasure none other?

Don't play too hard to get
You already know
Your face and wit,...

Premium Member A Lover's Duet
The farmer's pond was still and dark
the boat was small and light
two lovers they did disembark
their pleasure to excite,
all on a summer's night.

He rowed them out and let them float
into his arms she came,
the dense pine cloaked, kept them remote
two lover's sought their claim,
their passions...
