The years are only wasted if you do nothing now. A poet needs to experience struggle before leaving their cocoon. Otherwise their words will not have wings. A mark of a true poet is to be able to say much with few words. You have achieved that with this piece. I hear a bell ringing, it appears Clarence/JC has recieved his wings.

Words of encouragement and wisdom to heed. I keep telling myself that it's never too late to listen to your heart and let it sing. I love your movie reference; it happens to be one of my favorite movies. I love Jimmy Stewart. Again your encouragement is most welcome, my friend. Blessings

These haiku are so beautiful JC! My only suggestion is that they are not posted in traditional haiku form. In future you may want to post your haiku in the 5/7/5 syllable lines of three. Such as: luna moth-dancing with starlight on the petal of a winter rose chrysalis cocoon... butterflies with gilded wings singing songs in spring IMHO the latter haiku is a true haiku. I have studied haiku for over twenty years and I only wish to help you. Blessings, Connie xxoo (please see soupmail)

Well, I think this was my seventh poem ever. So far, all I have tried to do is Haiku and Free verse. The only thing that I have learned about Poetry is to listen to my heart. Funny thing to do after all these wasted years. Thank you, Your comment means more to me than you know.
