It was not a tragedy at first.
It was the smell of oceans,
It was the breeze on mountains,
It was the spring,
It was the autumn,
It was love.
Soon it was raining.
There was the roar of thunder.
The sky shone a mix of purple, red and orange.
It felt like cries from heaven were pouring down heavy on parched soil.
Yet I asked...
“Can I stay here? Please…”
I would not make a lot of noise.
I would not drown in the sorrow within longing.
I would not climb on the clouds of fear.
I would not walk on the road going towards castles.
I would be alive.
And so, like droplets collected on a leaf
In a wintry morning
I live...
Tiny crystals
loosing' her mother
falling' on petals
beauty further
dark skies
thundering' sounds
nail bites
fearing' found
so it falls
off from sky
man, short or tall
got back the smile
The soft sound of rain
Exquisite purple droplets
The jacaranda tree weeps
Wet purple kisses
A welcome shower of love
Royal messengers of Spring
OLD POEM: GRAY SKY FALLS (SIJO)
Paralyzed sunshine of the day, gray kissed skyscrapers in faint
Blurry dance stuck in the air as the dew pervades some occlusions
Day sketched gloom in beauty behind the droplets of breezy nimbus
NEW POEM:
Thy painter of sky smiled from altitudes
The angels flew, danced amid the wet clouds
Coloring mist, dust of beatitude
Heaven's gate roared, the lightning showed some proud
The veil of universe lurks from behind
The shades crawl slow, camouflaged by the dark
Droplets pervade the odor of sweet mind
Like the smell of a wet land, the yearn park
Breezes whistle through the aisles of droplets
Caressing the skin while sky sheds its tears
Gaze to the stunning gloom in violets
The sparks steal some moments, shines with no fears
Flood recede and leaves caught the rest of rain
As my heart fades from melancholy, drained

Falling from heaven,
Repeatedly striking soil,
Renewing all life.
The droplets of water
... cling...
Upon the branches of the tree
crystalline objects
hanging delicately
Catching the morning rays
....Glistening....
like diamonds
adorning the branches
evaporating
just like a desert mirage.

The wobbling droplets are quite happy.
Full of joy and not too shabby,
I hear them laugh.
They are promptly quaffed.
:-)~:~:~ooo~:~:~(-:
I give my wobbling droplets a shake,
and laugh until my head breaks.
They happily orbit the Earth,
looking down on us with mirth.

The wobbling droplets are enchanting
but they will not interfere with my ranting.
For I have more poems to eject,
that many will not hesitate to reject.

Droplets falling down
running, splashing as they fall

Building of the darkening columns
against the fairest summer skies,
the golden blaze of enduring warmth
replaced with flash of searing light.
A storm of heightening, swirling frenzy
unleashes pelting, frozen spheres.
Painful fury descends,
upon unwitting fields
and man alike.
The plague stands unforcast!
Destruction comes with a deafening roar,
like gravel thrown against tin.
With certainty, the echo will subside,
and commotion will seek control.
Equilibrium returns with each icy pellet.
Blue penetrating through the spent
storm of expended energy.
A return to summer’s easy glow
triumphs over the bitter sting of falling hail.
Look at this cold rain
Droplets cascade on my head
Each brings a freeze
Water falling, trickling downward
wet mossy stones shine and glimmer
droplets dancing tumbling onward
Soft tinkles as they head coastward
the sounds echo like a crooner
water falling, trickling downward
A mast standing out, a halyard
of the ships bobbing in fervour
droplets dancing tumbling onward
Streams joining rivers flood backward
the noise loud as it gets faster
water falling, trickling downward
Thunderous waves heading southward
ships tossing, sails all a flutter
droplets dancing tumbling onward
Tidal water becomes wayward
waves flowing over the breaker
water falling, trickling downward
droplets dancing tumbling onward

Little by little,
slowly yet surely
like a ticking clock
to the earth fall
silvery droplets
from the rooftops;
cool, clear waters
into a crystal pool
on the ground form,
only to soon vanish
nowhere to be found,
sucked underground;
each droplet I watch
while life whizzes by,
seconds into minutes
and days into years,
leaving no big traces
of its sorry existence;
wee droplet and me,
kindred old spirits -
insignificant dots,
one-shot jokers
just passing through
then heard no more.
As the rain kisses the roses,
Leaving water droplets.
Reflections of their silver hair
As heads touch love's asset.
Time takes away youth's rich beauty.
The reflection reveals
A beauty deeper than youth's dreams_
Love for a liftime that's genteel.

A form of Poulter's Measure..
Ten water droplets
all forming a waterfall
