Sea of Love

The ebb and flow that comes and goes
      with ocean’s deep emotion shows
that hearts, like knaves, become her slaves
         beneath the undulating waves.

Excitement grows as hearts expose
      amid the tempting tide’s repose;
   surf’s breaking roar laps on their shore;
hearts enter through her luring door.

The ocean knows, as passion grows,
      the secrets that they don’t disclose;
these hearts on fire with wild desire,
waves pounding as their needs require.

The ebb and flow still comes and goes
while sea of love, these hearts, depose,
and lust’s decree will always be
a product of this stormy sea.

Premium Member Glimpses of Summer

Down the majestic mountain, over the grassy knoll,
Themes verdant, chromatic, summer’s vistas scroll,
Rustling zeal of willows, as zephyrs-avid gently blow,
Propelling tides of vigor, where rivers burbling flow.

Cherishing blooming prairies, birds frolic and trill,
Gliding over scenic valleys, reveling flight of thrill,
Circling back to realm serene vying mirthful trees,
Warbling soft melodies amidst buzzing beats of bees.

Scattering gloomy shapes, clouds tenebrous reign,
Floating haze over horizon, shrouding vibrant terrain,
Unleashing with gusting winds feisty rain showers,
Swirling, whirling mid-air, delicate petals of flowers.

Storm cedes to calming breeze waltzing long shadows,
Quivering in twilight, scintillating face of meadows,
Luring glances of smiles where blossoms of lilies cajole,
Enthralling enamored eyes, as leisurely people stroll.

Inscribing motifs amethyst, as day’s journey slows,
Refracting sun’s golden rays, skyline-amber glows,
When passions of lovers, to blushing eve disclose,
Secret lyrics of passion, hearts romantic compose.

Premium Member Yesterday's Joys

Where have they gone, the simple days of old?
Though filled with toil, their melody was sweet—
A blending of the common joys that hold
That special place in memory's retreat:

Warm home fires burning, families gathered close,
The day's chores done, the evening shared with zest,
That tranquil peace that hovered to disclose
Life's humble ways and means were surely best.

But now the complex song of modern man
So filled with discord drowning out the good
Of basic joys inherent in life's plan,
Makes happiness a gift misunderstood.

And why must progress hush the old refrain
To play this frantic tune we so disdain?

The Unlikely Alliance

The unlikely alliance

for me you need not be clothed
I understand your fragility
of which the edges are like krill
To you I disclose my being,
for only you I rehearse my songs.
From the truest vestiges of the heart,
where the rumbling of the soul
and electric current making multiple zeds as if ignition cannot be..
until it does..

Erupts this volcano inside of me, the magma of the heart cascading walls and gleam.
Steaming, hissing ,smoking at your feet and there it halts, and there it cools and I deliver me.
Touch me I am warm
Feel me I am true.
Where us unlikely two shall meet, you the tulip, I the lava.
There your trusting brave will do what none would believe.

I give you that diamond of the earth, that stone that doesn’t melt,
under pressure it was formed.
Be sure to stand the allegations of my antagonist
How I need your alibi
Oh how I yearn for truth

Carpet of Colour

The long years are harsh where the hot sun does burn
on the sand hills and plains when seasons won’t turn
where saltbush and samphire do somehow survive
and through these hot days there seems little alive.

But shade in the she-oaks can offer relief
for creatures surviving who still hold belief
the outback’s not dying though is tinder dry…
then cotton-wool clouds start to build in the sky.

And when it gets humid and balmy at night
the sunrise is red with the new dawning light
and leaves get up dancing and float on the breeze
ants start to scurry and thunder does tease.

There’s change on the way and a scent in the air
and storm birds are singing to make all aware
that drought may be over and soon there’ll be rain
the outback will flourish ‘til drought comes again.

Now pastel pink earth starts to darken to red
as it quenches it’s thirst on the deluge ahead
the creek beds awake from their slumber for years
and billabongs form behind quick rising weirs.

The pans and the lowlands are holding their fill
and outstation tanks are now starting to spill
so comes a new dawn from a heartbreaking scene
when almost like magic the land turns to green.

Where a land is vindictive and can be unkind
where water is life, and with man undermined
where vastness is changing from sleeping repose
the buds are now bursting and now they disclose…

…a rainbow that travels so long with the eye
in a landscape rebirth, to thanks from the sky
I’m taking a stroll through a live daisy chain
in a carpet of colour that follows the rain.

Sparkling white pearls in sun-rays gold
Adorning dew drops glint-morning arose
On silken-red aura, petals velvet unfold
Flaunting glamour of expressions bold
Exuding fragrance floral splendor chose
Luring passions heart rhythms compose
Revealing hints endearing sights disclose
In language of love, poise of ruby rose.

A Walk On the Beach

Morning breaks in cheerful warm brilliance,
pale sapphire sky pristine.
Grey-white gulls glide vociferously above
in search of firma bound fare.
Reflections of Sol’s arms vault from the sea,
smooth but for zephyr stroked folds;
pure, sugar white sand kissed softly
by persistent waves subtle roll.
Soft ghosts of tepid breeze course random,
sensually caressing what be;
long thin-bladed grasses sway lightly
in synchrony and shameless delight.

With bonnet in hand an aged woman strolls
beside the vast Gulf of blue;
damp, firm sand squeaks soothingly
against the soles of her tired bare feet.
Her large eyes of brown focus ahead,
bear no witness to her days and shine;
fine flowing hair of luminous white
draped over shoulders so slight.
A pause, though brief, in quiet reflection,
her gaze upon the distant view
and mind in stoic reminiscence
of past friends and loves and wonder.

His strong arms hold her close tightly,
warmth of body and soul unite,
while gaiety in unbound laughter
disclose love once again renewed.
A tender brush of hand upon cheek
raises fiery passion in both,
as excited young eyes meet in ardor
essence link in eternal embrace.
One warm briny tear born of these thoughts
streams slowly down her cheek,
she slowly walks on as sand squeaks soothingly
against the soles of her tired bare feet.

Premium Member Amber Gleam of Summer's Eve

Unspoken dream glints summer’s amber eve
Caressing sweet musings longings appease
Where motifs of romance ecstasies weave
When requited desires strum twilight breeze

Buoyant blows season’s mirth lilting lush glee
When blazing rendezvous emotions churn
Courting heart’s appeal in indulgent plea
Where blossoms of bliss fond fantasies yearn

Beholden to your glance when heavens glow
How do the robins know to trill your song
And wooing night's fervor where passions go
Why does flirting moon always come along

Believe me, my dear, goddess of love knows
Though secrets of hearts she’ll never disclose

The mistress of mirth it’s who I am
In reality I am simply Jan
I’ll try and give you laughs
About my silly gaffes
And entertain as much as I can

My panties once went up the hoover
It was a remarkable manoeuvre
Yes I will disclose
They flew up the hose
Phew- I still retain a sense of humour

I Think of You

I think of you every time
And wish I could say those words to you
The words that would disclose what I feel
Deep in my soul
And in my heart
Every time I think of you
Every time I wish I could see you
Every time I wish I could get closer to you
And whisper those words
That will set out our life in motion
That will give you a reason to think of me
And give us a reason to be!

Premium Member Bossy Cow

Daisy was such a bossy old cow,
one who desired to rule the herd.
Her opinions were so highbrow
the others dared not moo a word!

Daisy would moo and moo all day
whilst the others chewed their cud.
I dare not disclose the things she’d say
if amiable cows mated with the stud!

One day Daisy met up with the local bull
who really was a quite handsome chap.
She fluttered her lashes, being on the pull
but her constant sniping was a handicap!

He mated all others in the bovine brood
which put Daisy’s nose right out of joint.
He detested her for her rude attitude,
yet, she insisted on arguing the point!

Daisy was ill-bred and she’d never yield
so all the other cows chose to back away.
Bull turned on his hooves and left the field
leaving Daisy all on her own chewing hay!

Although Daisy was the farmer’s oldest
she was just as nasty as the farmer’s wife.
He complained the old cow was the coldest -
I wonder which of them caused more strife!

The farmer didn't suffer from guilt or derision
when the slaughtering man came into town.
He allowed the butcher to make the decision
as to which cantankerous cow he'd put down!

While midnight wears the longest hours
An ashen star peers to act as my keeper;
Circling around like a threadbare of a glow
When the bulb in the room snuffs, fades,
Leaving me alone without any reflection.

In a world drained by pain, somehow void
Of clarity and filled with unbearable angst,
Its pale twinkle seems to listen as I uncover
Reminisces whirling like ghastly shadows
That even the crush of tears cannot explain.

Yet, my star leans nearer to understand
All the secrets my voice needed to disclose...
I wander around the yard... my arms
Hanging at the sides: a whiff of air blows,
In need of a private confession, of my acceptance
To unleash such heaviness buried
Within my soul: love's requiem gushing
Until a closure ends in deliverance.
Finally, star- guide blinks and points
My reflection across the mirror of dawn.

The Earth To Be Full Of His Glory

The Heavens oh God declare Your awesome glory
giving heed to Your presence so high above
but yet my Lord so great and so majestic You are
still You want to fill the heart of man with Your love.

Your glory, my Father is soon to be seen
for You are going to disclose
Yourself to Your creation
opening to it one of Heaven’s glorious doors.

Angelic visitations in the earth
will soon be on the rise
signs, miracles and wonders to with such mind boggling events
to happen just before our very eyes.

There will be no doubt for man will say
this something that only a Great God can do
for look at all these miracles He has
done my brother my sister for me and for you.

Then His remnant church will rise
out of the religious body of faith now so dead
and with sword in hand and with a shield of faith
will by their God march forth and by Him they will be led.

Camping under His cloud of Glory
like His people of the past
only this time His Glory
on earth will be cut so short and it will not last.

This glory will usher in that
last day great harvest of souls
and once this job has been accomplished
off to Heaven His Bride will go.

Oh Father to know Your Glory and
awesome presence now so complete
Lord my all I surrender so totally to You come and by your Spirit
direct this child and order this path for my feet.

"What is this strange place we find ourselves in
Trapped in the open, we find ourselves within"

Who can hear the forest still
Its light and mist fall calmly hushed
Bereft of leaves gripped in winter's will
Its naked soul lies burnt from autumns rust

Sundering haze as breath in cold
Melts in air through sunlit stands
Of forest simple, soft though bold
While natures will and peace command
Its parable is yet untold

Eyes behold serene repose
As tides of glimmering beauty shoal
To surge with mighty grandeur's glow

Into the heart it comes to rest
Zen's remedy is yet to show
The puzzle of this life’s mystery
As oneness flows to disclose
Can we be as one with every tree?
