Best Day To Day Poems

Day To Day Cures

When your world is topsy-turvy
Opt out -- if you must
But don't stop CHARITY
GIVE a few coins, slices of food,
To the beggars, real or fake
And the universe heals THE HEART
By degrees. College degrees fail
All too often as does "religion,"
Just be human, a mensch, once
A day, at the very least, & "dance"
The blues away (reluctantly, secretly)

Surviving the Recession, Day-To-Day

I awoke again
In the same godawful place,
With wine bottles on the floor,
and egg on my face
"Thank Christ" I said...
...I honestly had no idea
Since the last time I'd eaten,
Where my next meal might be coming from
This Holiday Season.

They were fools to outlaw smoking indoors,
Because now that I live uncomfortably
In-between motel corridors:
I have all the working time in the Free World
To stand around outdoors
And have my pick of the litter,
As I literally pick through litter
- To pick myself the best pre-smoked cigarettes,
And then I redistribute the rest at a modest profit...
...So I've turned into a capitalist;
Big deal!
Just line me up against the wall
next fall!!!
What do I really care
either way???
- I'm half dead anyway...

From point A
To point B
And back again,
Throughout the edge of the night:
The cops won't let me sleep
Someplace that's safe from
The terrorizing nightlife
Of an indifferently frigid street life,
Where people like me are bait for the teenage:
"Keep on walking; Get a job" the cops say
- I wish the State would pay me
To bully the police for a change.

Next time I'm waiting at the breadline,
I'm gonna conquest for the affections
of a young butterbean:
If ya know what I mean?
...Not a fan of Kropotkin I can see...

Drones To the Day To Day

A world in which we let ourselves get lost in, is one
Stripping purity away layer by layer, it is one we do not notice
Until we realize who and what we were is a product of past
Dreams and wishes. We let ourselves get turned into drones
In order to pay our bills which Is normally stacked upon by
Greed and self loathing, trying to improve yourself to the
Medias standards by stacking falseities causing you to
Drain what made you you, into something so fake that
You cant even tell its not you. We are told to vote for our
Next puppet to lead us, distracting the simple for upwards
Of 4 years into thinking they are making a difference by
Focusing on everything except ones self and their neighbours. We are lost. Including
Myself, wasting days and days upon social media reading
The same story of depression just with different names
On a day to day. Murder here murder there, while we turn
A blind eye to everyday enlightenment that constantly
Throws itself at us. This poem may not take the form of a rhyme
But its something on my mind all the time, so ill use this canvas
To alleviate the mind of a simpleton trying to remain pure
In this world of glass houses which we constantly cast stones
Upon. The sad part is, almost no one will notice until
We cast the last stone at the final glass wall and it comes shattering
Down with a generation of hate and discrimination.

I will not quit, I will try my hardest to become enlightened
And proceed onwards to enlighten. I will try my best to not
Waste each and every non guaranteed day. I will use these days
As a tool of attaining knowledge, and I refuse to fall
Into this day to day drone creating system.
I am me. I am different. I will be enlightened.

From Day To Day

still in the beginning to find the right way

fear of death
and become its prey

and as they say ... from day to day

live your life
and look at it ... in a different way

Premium Member Day To Day Life

In day to day life
there's taking some kind of risk.
The future's always unknown.

What will be will be
Things go right, and things go wrong.
It's all a matter of fate.

One day at a time
Life's that way for all of us.
Otherwise, that is not life.

Day To Day Motivation

These times, ill never forget; being with you, i never regret
Adjusting to your every move like the shore to great waves
Following your love, and my heart is all it saved
Your rainging presece cleases my frantic mind
Leaving me with many thoughts, of a sweet kind
I couldnt imagine living without this sort of inspiration
For you are my day to day motivation
Simply with you near, my day lights up
Because of that, my feelings erupt
With a sudden burst of dormant love
And forever i will stay, as your dove

Day To Day

I reached out to touch you
but it wasn’t about your skin
to slide my mind upon your heart
to reach who you are within

Mankind looks upon your shell
not upon the life inside
they only see the shoreline
not the ocean where you reside

I remember being young of heart
my mind was bonded to what’s old
where experience has laid the paths
and repetition the stories told

Another day has come and gone
the minutes that I’m given are delight
too soon will come my feebleness
my loss of mind and sight

But if I should ever lose
all that I am within
I would wish that you remember
all the love you have to spend

Ain'T It Funny How We Go Day To Day

It's funny how we go day to day acting as if life is just fine
That's something found only in fairy tales and nursery rhymes
True we hold up the image portraying everything's okay
Even though someone wakes with a purpose of tyring to ruin your day

We walk about emotionless pretending that we're strong
Dealing with life and it's only mission, to prove that you are wrong
Putting too much into people that wouldn't invest in us
Dumping all our trust in something we don't even trust

Trials and tribulations makes it harder and harder to cope
Watching revelations come upon us and we act as if it's a joke
Looking towards the future and we see there is no hope
Its like watching your house burn down and everything goes up in smoke

What use pushing for change when we refuse to draw the line
All the jealousy and hatred from so many narrow minds
Closing eyes on the truth that we're facing the end of times
Ain't it funny how we go day to day acting as if life's just fine

As Day To Day Rolls By

What is there not to forgive?
Grace transforms all views.
Catch your brother's heart in your hand.
And let it sing love's old sweet song,
As day to day rolls by.

Day To Day

Revealed to me on this day of gray
Where my thoughts to tend to stray
What desires I seek out most
And how best about them boast

For within this hour I seek your grace
In hopes it would bring me your face
So that we could simply speak
Before my passion does grow weak

Though immortal it may be
This love of mine does still bleed
Not with blood or liquid gooze
But with words the feelings ooze

And since with me you are not
I write these words lest they be forgot
For so much must go unsaid
And forever repeat within my head

Day To Day

Ive been through heartbreak
I know time will heal
The difference is that
its not sadness I feel

Its a feeling in my gut
it lays deep down inside
That tells me I need you
I can't be denied

I love you so much
and I hate you as well
You make me euphoric
you put me through hell

I awaken everyday
feeling worse than before
I feel so wrong
down to my core

I punch random objects
I drink the pain away
The worst part of life
is starting a new day

Time isn’t helping
days crawl past
I sit and wonder
if our love will ever last

I pace like a mad man
banging my head
screaming obscenities
all i see is red

The Jovial Flight of the Day To Day

I woke up this morning.
poured a cup of coffee.
but it was bitter -
more like wine than coffee.
but if there's nothing wrong with the coffee,
there must be something wrong with me.

I got dressed
and went to the store.
but it was bitterly cold.
more like january than june.
but if the weather isn't wrong,
there must be something wrong with me.

I bought from a list.
I got some cigerettes
but they were awfully expensive.
more like coke than smokes.
but if the price tag isn't wrong,
there must be something wrong with me.

Then my eyes hurt.
and i took off my glasses.
but things became crystal.
more sharp than hazy
but if there's nothing wrong with my glasses,
there must be something wrong me.

I ran back home
communed with television.
but it was drivel, lunacy
more like circus than theatre.
but if there's nothing wrong with television,
there must be something wrong with me.

I heard yelling next door
a crash, something fell.
but it sounded violent
more like anger than resolve.
but if there's nothing wrong with my neighbours,
there must be something wrong with me.

I'm tired now.
eyelids heavy, low like blinds
but alert, i feel uneasy.
more of a disgust than a peace.
but if there's nothing wrong with the world,
then there must be something wrong with me.

Rainy Days In Tokyo

i ain’t never been to tokyo

its sunny here it’s probably sunny there too,

i guess

there was a bitter sweet breeze this morning

but it didn’t pause me

on my walk to the train, thoughts of my next step

head phones on, world off

my backpack is filled with things i wouldn’t use on a mountain climb

pay my fare pay my share

but i’m too cheap to pay attention

it’s probably raining in tokyo

i get a knock at my microsleep

“celebrity catches big fish”

so, i click the bait

hooked to useless knowledge i’ve just gained.

2:25 small fee, i’ll just paid attention

routined in this circular maze

but its sunny here,

its probably sunny in tokyo too

Day To Day

I live my life day to day,
Never knowing what's coming my way,
Who's going to make life worth living?
Who's going to take it away?
My heart is covered with scars
Did you ever stop to think,
this isn't her fault, its ours?
I didn't think so.
Well what do you know?
Here I sit, pen in hand, thoughts in my head,
Are you thinking about everything you've said?
Trying to remember, just what it was.
Here's an applause.
It's just for you.
For you and everything you do.
For everything you've done.
You're the reason I'm where I'm at.
You can believe that.
I didn't ask for any of this.
Nor do I want it.
Everyday I make a wish,
I never waste it on me.
How rude would that be?
Instead, I wish for everyone else.
I can't sleep at night,
I lay there and wish everything will turn out alright.
Hoping that not only will the next day be a new one,
But that it will be a totally new one.
Worry and stress free.
That's the way it ought to be.
No one will truly ever see,
The way you've made me.
So thank you for everything you do,
I really love living this way.
It makes me absolutely insane.
Theres not much more to say.

Day To Day

As a young boy he looks to the future
Lives day to day, always looking ahead
It’s all about “when I grow up someday”
I’ll decide when I have to go to bed!

As a young man it’s fun times to be had
No parental rules to get in the way
Still building his future with job and wife
Enjoying life’s challenges day to day!

With old age arriving, the time speeds up
And the aches and pains of aging arrive
While looking back on happy memories
He lives day to day just staying alive!
