Best Day To Day Poems

Day By Day
Waning love is a cold diamond thing
The hurt pressure
from the thought of losing you
is such a hard burden
Squeezing the hope out of me

Heavy-hearted acceptance ain’t easy,
especially when the weeping pang of separation
comes prematurely rushing through

Day by day,
I get premonition pulse signals of distress

Diamond...

Premium Member Time Passing Day By Day
Now, each day poses limitless opportunities for stress and strain -
New directions, new pains, new worries, brand-new doors open
Before older squeaky ones have closed, yesterday's problems
Had been mulled over, firmly grasped, solved, and cast aside.

You tend to say hurtful things,
acting like a soul possessed.
And try resurrecting fears
time has long ago repressed.

You can't relate to pity;
for bullies exploit the meek.
And it feels good to demean
those who turn the other cheek.

I see someone who's hurting;
using drugs to numb their pain.
And a...

In times of war, love can subdue cynical adversaries
(Men separated from their vocation, now filled with hatred)
And quell the beast inside their misdirected hearts,
And free their consciences, to allow sorrows’ comfort.

A noisy silence pervades the barracks’ atmosphere,
Where soldiers stir, stuffing duffel bags and miscellaneous,
While...

"what Is a Sad Day In America?"
“WHAT IS A SAD DAY IN AMERICA?”

It is a “Sad Day” in America when you wake up every day worrying about being
black, educated and female.

It is a “Sad Day” in America when you wake up every day and there is a new battle.

It is...

Supporting killing children

The Orange Seed
I came upon a tribe one day
in a land not far away
where everyone gets what they need
from juices of an orange seed

Some who drank the juice had died
and so the tribe felt satisfied
that they had weeded out the weak
with the help of orange seed

Some fell...

Poe In Tree
I have dropped my pains on pages of poems,
the ink in my pen treasures my groans, the
quill is my sword, with edges sharp enough
to sculpt the perfect picture, the quill is the
only thing you got when those devils try to
get ya, the only warmth...

I'Ll Ne'Er Forget That Day Old Mate
My heart was pumping hard that day I faced the maddening crowd,
Despite the spinning in my head I stood there mighty proud.
Though racked with pain my reddened hand acknowledged them a wave
And to this day I've ne'er forgot, the accolades they gave....

The Pain
I put my faith in what I can't see
Because I want to be all that I can be
Yet the pain I feel is truly real
And I just want to know the deal
I've done all that I'm supposed to do
Even tried to walk in someone else's...

I'Ve Seen All the Hurt That You'Ve Been Through
I’ve seen all the hurt that you’ve been through

Written By Dean Masciarelli

August 9, 2010 (7:00pm)

I’ve seen all the hurt that you’ve been through

Because its been little over two years now

Since my heart was literally broken in two

And I want you to know that I...

no greater love can ever live
nothing can equal what i give
no single act of love is the reason why
many were the sacrifices i gave I
by no means ephemeral
the tears i have cried
my youth and beauty i had to give up
the fun the parties that kind...

Pock Marked
Pock marked

Bert was cooking in a bucket,
Knew his hide at any rate
Pock marks on his thighs an biceps,
Shot that day by a sniper, mate,

Sniper chopped by Aussie Bren gun,
Fell from palm in many pieces,
Driven back by charging soldiers,
Jonno’s mates were ‘ridge e didge’,

Next day they...

Wishing, Hoping ,Praying
Wishing, Hoping, Praying

I wish so badly that I was dead
Found in a tree hung under head
The tender kiss felt from a rope
Its for this end that I do hope
To end the pain felt day to day
Its for my death that I do pray
So I am...
