Premium Member King Arthur - a Collaboration With Darren White

He is the king of words and poets alike
Assay as you may, this man you won’t smite
His armour sparkles in night or day
Defending those too meek to say

His table is round, there's room for all
There are chairs with wheels so no one will fall
He hands out bronze goblets with sparkling wine
This king of lush gardens has spine

Renowned through the kingdom, for deeds he’s done
There is no battle, he has not won
His knights are loyal to a fault
So you better beware who you assault

Lancelot and Guinevere are by his side
Uniting followers far and wide
So sit and drink with us in harmony
And enjoy food presented artfully

To Darren - Some Stars Shine Brighter

SOME STARS SHINE BRIGHTER

Some stars shine brighter
Some waves crash stronger
Some winds blow warmer
Some days are lovelier

Some friendships are eternal...

During our lives we meet a lot of people
But some will conquer a special place in our hearts
They'll be the ones for whom
We'll fight a little harder
We'll cry a little stronger
We'll cheer a little louder
We'll worry a lot over

They are the ones
That will always be there for you
Laughing with your happiness
Holding you during your tears

Some are in the same city
Others on a continent away
The distance doesn't matter
For we carry them always
In our minds and in our hearts
So they're never really far away from our thoughts

So my dear and sweet friend
Thank you for allowing me in your life
For always be there for me
Thanks for being my rock

You've a heart of gold
The most beautiful soul
Your light shine thru your poems
Your care and attention thru your words

I'll be always here for you too
Cheering for you every step of your way...
Take care of yourself and come back to us fast...

And... never forget...
To just be yourself
Because you're simply perfect
Just the way you are...

...and very much loved, my dear friend...

Love you, Darren

Premium Member A Tribute To Darren Watson

Dearest Darren I miss you oh so much
All I want is for you to be returned to good health
Romantic writes you penned so well
Ridiculous sense of humour we share
Emails flew between us faster than Concorde
No one could make me laugh the way you do

Wish I knew how you are doing my friend
All my love and prayers are sent to you
There will never be another to take your place
So much fun being your poetry partner
Oh what a blast we had writing as Jadazzle United
Never a day passes when I don’t think of you

Hanging By a Thread - Collaboration With Darren White

HANGING BY A THREAD - COLLABORATION WITH DARREN WHITE

I felt my life hanging by a thread
The tip of your sword piercing my heart
My mind screamed words my mouth couldn't say
The unfairness of it plain in the dark night

And through it all the sharpness of your mind
That once attracted me, like moths are drawn to flames
Dance fiercely around, burn to ashes,
Nothing remains but shallow husk, and tears

Replacing trust that once shone bright
Your deceitful words are now unveiled
Your true nature open for all to contemplate
You can't hide in the shadows anymore

No more I say, enough of your cold-bloodedness
So callous. My moth will be a butterfly;
This crying creature of the night
Will shed it's cocoon and step into the light

And as is my right, I'll conquer the skies
No more crawling for me
I was born to fly High

Premium Member Orient Express: Collaboration Poem By Jadazzle Jan Allison and Darren Watson

We hear the engine whistle
The hissing of the steam
The hairs on our necks begin to bristle
As we meet the arrival of a dream
We didn't think we had a chance of winning
Entering just for fun I guess
but thanks to simple poem we are grinning
As we board the Orient express.

London to Paris, what a dream come true
I never dreamed the sparks would fly between us two
The fireman stokes the boiler; and releases a jet of steam
The guard collects our tickets and we begin our dream
Days and nights together on this magnificent train
Travel through beautiful places, seeing new terrain
Enthralled at the elegance and beauty of the carriage
Will our trip together end up with our marriage

Looking so handsome in your new dinner jacket
Glad you won this holiday; it must have cost a packet
The ambiance of the surroundings is utter bliss
We seal our relationship with a tender kiss
Holding hands so gently we share a vintage wine
Sitting in the Pullman coach you rest your head on mine
Velvet blue sky and shining stars start to cast their spell
The romantic seine has such stories to tell.

In Paris we visit the galleries of fine art
Holding your hand I realise you have captured my heart
We pass through the Arc De Triomphe and climb the Eiffel Tower
Now I surrender to your feminine power
Retire with me to the Napoleon suite
Sharing in the splendour of this romantic treat
Promise to be my Mam'selle Josephine
Or expose my heart to Madame Guillotine

You look so beautiful and smell divine
I kiss your lips, They taste of fine wine
We are lost in the flames of passions fire
As we quench the thirst of true loves desire
Our bodies rise and fall as we entwine
Oh I’m so glad that you are mine
All those feelings denied and for so long suppressed
Come to the fore aboard the Orient express.

Passion abates we are wrapped in each others arms
Darren wants more so I succumb to his great charms
Our fire ignites with desire and great passion
Hour upon hour – this man I can’t ration
Finally we reach the end of the line
Our love making session has been so divine
Arm in arm we head out of the carriage door
So hopelessly in love – who could ask for more

Some people you meet ...

Creep their way into your being
Like a kitten chasing shadows and dust
The pounce FAR more important than the prey
Little bits of things ephemeral

Intangible emotions and markers
That mean little in-and-of themselves
But all-in-all have a life, recombinant
And a spirit abiding ... gracious.

Quietly, gently, step-by-step
They climb the spiral to your heart's keep
No hurry, for the sake of surety
And without pretense

So you'll know JUST who they are
And not mistake the glint of their character and care.
'Tis a steady and pure ascent
For they are of integral station and sincerity

Honoring kindness and truth and love
And attending candor as the treasure YOU do.
Oh, a special place awaits them at the top of the stair
A soft, deep seat in the sun

Where a person can warm their heart with conversation
And where two friends can talk all things poetic
In the quiet corners of the day.
You are locked away in that roundtower, my friend

And whatever this life may bring
I shall wait patiently for that chat
Rain or sun, the tea shall be hot
And the words will find themselves ...

In good company.

Summer Snow Angels - Collaboration With Darren White

Spring rain, and I am flat on the lawn:
arms spread, laughing loud.
I create snow angels without snow,
daisies watch with undisguised surprise.

Like the day, I dream in wild red of
strawberries bursting on my tongue;
petal feathers, pure radiance:
sun in sprinklers reflected prismatic rainbow

rain shower painting chromatic arrays
sing the summer colors
painted winter's grey goodbye
fly to the heavens on sunshine rays

Bones Lament - Collaboration With Darren White

The drip is connected to my right arm
It works, as they say, just like a charm
I'm delirious with joy, must be morphine
Here comes the best nurse you've ever seen

My knee was connected to my thigh, they say
My back once connected to my spine, but nay
No more, they're disjointed now, I feel good
My legs, if I have any, are sticks of wood

The bedpan gives chills up and down my skin
Turn my head , let loose, it feels like a sin
Reruns on TV, watch the news ten times
No peace in the world, nothing but crimes

My ankles are swollen, I got a new cast
When can I get out, I'm having a blast (not)
The food is amazing, the soup is split pee
I call the grim reaper, " come rescue me"

Pressing the button, does this even work
Singing loud to a chorus, I wish I could twirk
I'm so gonna sleep now, have the wildest dreams
'bout my skeleton dancing alone with moonbeams

My stay on the fifth floor is finally done
Wheel me outside, I need to sit in the sun
Only one final thing is left here to say:
My much kneeded vacation, wasted away

Time Stamps In the Sand - Collab With Darren White

Aimless foot prints mark a wind torn shore
deserted rifts splitting a secluded scene,
(where romance rocked a heart between
painted paradise and realness once adored)
our heads inevitable drift even deeper inside

And as blood red curtains paint a choppy sea
where last sun rays die a temporary death,
(so wondrous how they hold their breath
to pat one later on the back with glee)
even shallower time stamps left by our feet

Everything erased a minute after we passed by
incessant and unrelenting a water without feel,
(your hand in mine, I bend over and steal
evening breeze kisses, almost shy)
and find myself in you a place to hide

An uncertain future held without hope
washed away shores with unfulfilled dreams,
(but because nothing is as bad as it seems
with you by my side, I can certainly cope)
together our spirits and lives are complete

Lovely Things For Darren

Lovely little songbird
   looking in my window
   smiles in your eyes
   warm thoughts flowing
   with marmalade skies

Pretty little songbird
    singing subdued kisses
    come make me whole
    be my one and only
    peek into my soul

Time ticking on the wall
    starlit strummed melody
    daydream dancing again
    float alone in ecstasy
    along with my gifted pen

Night time serenade
lift me up with the starshine
    sprinkle tiny gifts of glee
    love spread so sweetly
    come drift away with me

Premium Member Cyclothymia and Depression - a Collaboration With Darren White:

The parachute just will not open,
As I spiraled, free falling to the ground,
This nightmare is happening again,
Never able to leave this merry-go-round.

Another day of struggle and strife,
In a throat hold deadly dangerous grip,
I’ve lost the concept and meaning of life,
Drowned in self-pity waters I do dip.

Love can neither rescue or save me,
Falling faster than the pouring rain,
On this rafter lost on the high sea,
I know in my heart I have nothing to gain.

They say that misery adores company,
In my case, this is neither right nor true,
Wishing that I could one day see,
And live a life never feeling blue.

***

The other side of me is light and free
As I'm soaring the skies like an eagle
High and jubilant, nothing escapes me
On top of the world, a ruler, regal

Who does need sleep? I don't, I'm writing
Poem after poem, and in between
I paint, play guitar, I am thriving
The most wonderful person ever seen

I am at full speed, creative high tide
No one can follow, I love you all
All that worried me I now push aside
Trying to forget about my next fall...

Why can't I have some balance, always!
Where I'm creative, and not feel bad
Where I can sleep, happiness stays
Without knowing that I'll soon be sad.

Premium Member Purple Days - For Darren

Average days
Pass in a haze
And sometimes leave us low
But 'purple days' are special days
With a wonderful magical glow
Filled with happiness and joy
For all the world to see
Hope your days are 'purple days'
And set your spirit free

When Darren Met Jan

Jan and Darren once met up in a local bar
Darren hoped his chat up lines would get him very far
Jan was not impressed and wouldn’t give him her address
His chat-up lines are dreadful I really must confess

Darren refuses to heed the warning
Would you like toast for breakfast in the morning
Honestly Jan things are not as bad as they seem
You've seen me before, I'm the man of your dreams.

Oh I know Darren and you’re so good looking
A devil in the bedroom and you also love cooking
But I prefer to have my eggs unfertilised
Don’t look at me like that with your big brown eyes

I can see myself in your beautiful green eyes
I do horoscopes, Aha you found that a surprise
What the stars are telling me there is no disguising
When you sit on my lap, That's not Jupiter rising

Oh be careful Mr Watston! Will you behave!
If I sit on your lap I'll be in an early grave
You've always known I'm happily married
But in your dreams your thoughts can be carried

You forget I know your husband Bob
He's taking me to the TT if I do a good job
I'm to flirt and joke and laugh and tease
Until you beg for mercy and say pretty please

Oh Darren Watson you’re a terrible flirt
You eye up anyone in a mini skirt
And as for tightly fitted jeans
These things I guess you see in your dreams

I admit I've got a roving eye
I know you're into swinging so thought I'd try
Yes I know Bob will love you forever
But he promised us guys must stick together.

Your chat up lines are wearing thin
I’m not really after a night of sin
We truly are the best of friends
I hope our collaboration never ends

Ending our collaboration never entered my head
In the poems we write I can get you in bed
You are beautiful, sassy and have a great sense of fun
With wonderful legs and a fabulous bum.

Premium Member In Eternal Memory - Collaboration With Darren White

Too many days of torment have come
I lower my head and bow I’m done
For I once knew of a life so grand
From wide blue oceans to every land

I have no rhythm, and no cadence
I fly, my mind is free
I leave you here, you torturers of souls
and body, you can never have the real me

For in my heart there burns a flame
And in my head lies chemistry
The element all at beck and call
In these eyes a light you’ll see

I shine on you in sun dust particles
reflecting spectral colours back at you
I will live in you, will thaw
the cold, will make you human

A kaleidoscope of colours you are
mixture of cosmic dancing stars
the rainbow over heaven awaits for you
no matter the distance that you stroll

And when we end, take our place
in this dark night, or dawning light
You will remember, and smile
We will be together in eternal memory

Premium Member The Key - a Poem For Darren Watson

What was once a matching pair are now so very far apart
You hold one key, I hold the other, you are forever in my heart

I use the key daily, and it always reminds me of you
A gift unique and special and I know you use yours too
