Listen
Be Still
Whispered words arriving on teardrops of the wind
They call to me
Embracing me so that I may exhale
For a moment in time
I look down to see the child woman curled up on my lap
Quietly dreaming
I stroke her sleep dampened hair and
Caress her cheek gently with my palm
Oh, child of mine
Allow me to reach in and
Cradle your wounded heart
Let me carry your pain and worry
Stirring, she turns her face revealing
A half-eyed sleepy smile
A gift I have treasured for centuries
Remembering the day
I walked through the trees of time
Lime, emerald, forest green, moss, juniper, ochre, and kiwi
Yellow tinged velvet leaves ride silver breezes
Tree people
Miraculous sacred creatures
Birthed of mother nature
Beckon me onward and inward
Towards water’s edge where moving mirrors of
Intellect and mystery await me
I walk with my companion who rides on my shoulder
The white hawk of my dreams
Narrating our passage through space and time
Howl Howl Howl
Stories above me, monkeys wearing fur
Play and swing
Screeching, flying, and tumbling through the air
Reaching sacred river’s edge
I pause and hear silent footsteps
Of the others joining
I gaze at the flowing water
Reflections of the lost ones float by
Faces of those who have passed from this life
I reach out and kiss each one with my fingertips
All of us gather ~ standing and joining hands
Collectively we reach up towards the heavens
We rise as one
Taking a moment to listen and
Receive grace from one another
A glimpse and a grin are shared
As I squeeze the weathered hand
Of my fellow human
Up Up Up Up
We float above the majestic green canopy
A glorious carpet of
Lavender clouds awaits
The day moon and the day sun kiss
As they watch us rise
A moment of gratitude shared by all

Come with us Halloweening.
We’ll frolic in the streets.
We’ll race from house to house to house
Spouting “Trick-or-Treats.”
And eagerly we’ll each collect
Confections in a bag.
Fellow ghouls, we’ll abandon you
If you even start to lag!
No slackers in OUR party
As we dash from door to door.
Unlit locations far removed
Instinctively we ignore.
Our goal: to get all we can hold
This wickedly winsome night,
This “Hallowed Eve” of children’s dreams
For fancy and delight.
A time that kids’ imaginings
Collectively take flight
In form of costumes of all kinds-
Of whimsy and of fright.
For Dale and I, that’s part of the fun,
But even better yet
Is what we’ve counted the days off FOR-
The bounty we’re going to get!
And through the dark we onward dart.
Watch as we trespass
People’s lawns, but yards with dogs
We cleverly bypass.
And when we need to go back home
To get more paper sacks,
We drop off treats we’ve got so far,
Then quickly double back. . .
Until we’ve covered every block
Of every foreknown spot
That we had ever frequented
And some that we had not!
Then good and late we homeward speed
With just a little dread,
For darkened windows greet us
And most folks have gone to bed.
We throw our candies on the floor,
So much there is to eat!
We count each chewy chocolate bar,
Each popcorn ball and sweet.
We toss out raisins, apples,
Tiny suckers, silly fruit,
Or give them to our siblings
Who received too little loot.
Then off to bed, our day complete,
We dream of how we’ll feast
Each day with glee, while savoring
Our treasury of treats.

Who can know the mysterious
ways of the clouds?
They travel in white whipped masses
and gather like solemn pinnacles
looking upwards in reverent penitence.
Silent clouds slowly form and move about
like floating fields in a heavenly marsh
or like soft suspended pillows
making themselves vulnerable
to the temperamental ways of the wind.
Sometimes they seem almost helpless
as they wander in a ghost like state
like wastrels, weighed down
by the prospect of an impending storm.
The yawning blue sky
has become quickly overwhelmed
by clouds’ alluring apertures.
Now they collectively amass
in billowing silence
crowding the vast
sweeping hemisphere.
Slanting sunlight breaks forth
to spar with clouds’ menacing shadows
that threaten to overtake the light
like competing shadow puppets
during a midday matinee.
Clouds are endlessly breathtaking
and appear seemingly mute
except for faint whispers from the winds
as if time stopped to hold its breath
within the boundaries of earth and sky.

Lilac lavender leaves fluttered ethereally
over the smooth sea of the placid lake.
A shimmer of light shone over the calm waves,
as they rolled silently and collectively
towards the sandy shore now lit
by the rising of the amber full moon.
Wave after wave composed
a lyrical enchanting melody
played by the rising orb.
The leaves formed fragrant shapes
emulating the grandness of the scene.
In the gathering darkness two lovers
heard the alluring symphony
and felt each other entwined
in a dance of love as the moon
in a dreamy crescendo shone
brightly evermore.
Until the eclipse took place.
Then it hummed no more that night.
The Adjective Twin: A Poem of Pain
I am "presumptuous" -- and with my brother, "arrogant"
we are the adjective twin of "gentle" blame
of "gentle" wounding, of "gentle" continued "colonization"
constantly in an "unconscious" search for unsuspecting names to attach to,
so that we can remain collectively unconscious of our shadows.
We were born (and are constantly re-born)
from the culturally "unconscious" womb of (even "progressive") white privilege,
with the help of "pre-judgment" the midwife who abhors "decolonization."
And heed this warning: We do NOT like mirrors, because clear mirrors tell
(at an uncomfortable-making non-white-privileged "pace" of needed transformation)
the kind of "decolonization" truths that inconveniently bring to consciousness "well-intentioned" unconscious "Orientalisms,"
("Truths" that could potentially flourish into "Reconciliation" healing--IF allowed mirror-full-ness);
and these kinds of truth make my brother and I really (mostly "unconsciously") uncomfortable,
because we don't resonate with mirrors, with reflection,
'cause rather than truthfully being "set free"
we like to be comfortable in our privilege.
When we, the adjective twin attach ourselves to unsuspecting names
(who expect standards that befit real civility, real nonviolence, real caring)
Mother Earth's mirrors of tearful eyes break in 1,001 pieces of feel-goodist "progressive" self-deception,
that "gently" kill peace--on Earth.
Don't blame us, though,
(and definitely, but "gently" DO silence the wailing sirens of inconvenient awakening)
because we are the adjective twin,
and the "progressive" harm we cause is ever so "gentle" and "well-intentioned," you see?

I remember the day your sun rose
Glowing along the horizon
A celebration in golden tones
How we all marveled
Glowing along the horizon
You held so much promise
How we all marveled
Collectively we held our breath
You held so much promise
As you ascended the morning sky
Collectively we held our breath
Yet for a time clouds blocked your light
As you ascended the morning sky
We bathed in the brightness of you
Yet for a time clouds blocked your light
Still we never doubted you were there
We bathed in the brightness of you
The highest point in our sky
Still we never doubted you were there
We celebrated your success
The highest point in our sky
Feeling your warmth on our skin
We celebrated your success
As you traveled accross our line of sight
Feeling your warmth on our skin
Cooling as you began your decent
As you traveled accross our line of sight
You our beautiful companion and friend
Cooling as you began your decent
Still we felt your warmth in our hearts
You our beautiful companion and friend
Your sunset glorious red and orange
Still we felt your warmth in our hearts
A celebration in golden tones
Your sunset glorious red and orange
I remember the day your sun rose

When Crocodiles shoal in a watering hole they're collectively known as a 'float',
why not include clothes pegs, (though you won't lose a leg
and they never been near a boat)
They hustle and clatter , skins not coated in batter, in different hues, green, yellow, red,
there's a blue one, poor thing with a twisted wire spring
that's unused, I assume that he's dead.
From a bag under the stairs they will come out in pairs
although sometimes they will hunt in threes
when bedsheets they attack, though their jaws may just crack
when it fights them all off in the breeze.
If encountering a red one, for sure, you're a dead one,
it nips at your fingers and toes,
and when the timing is right it's a horrible sight on the tip of a young child's nose.
I can honestly state that they sometimes migrate
not a lot, since they always get caught,
but please, take it from me, that I can guarantee- on washdays you are always one short.

Devils Fill Churches
Say the ones from outside
I, on the other hand find sanctuary
From liberals who tell me how I must think
I only wish peace, good will and a wee bit of gods drink
I open my arms
I hug the entire world
I know there is evil and I know there is good
The paths are many, and I love those who see
Is not the path, but the destination and the destiny
I know I am human
I know I have sinned
I know that we all are made up of same universal cloth
I know, I know nothing, nothing at all
Other than kindness and to love others big or small
Like brothers and sisters together we stand tall
I am humbled when I see the poorest of humanity
Offer me comfort and his only blanket
I may not know what is up there in the stars
I know that kindness is never wrong here or on Mars
I love science and knowledge
I love the diversity of life
Yet some call me evil without ever knowing
The inner beauty in us all, that in the dusk of the evenings
You can see nature’s gifts and the universe still dreaming
Faith you see in not about gods calling
Faith is about the goodness of all of us collectively
Humanity
From sea to see
The joke would enter the room before the man
"Where is the Line for the Buffet."
I heard the laughter and I saw the hurt in his eyes
He laughed along with them with practiced ease
Protecting himself, don't look too close please!
I felt bad
this man of substance is my friend
The person he presents, not real but pretend
A caricature of himself on lend
Each laugh a confirmation of what he sees
Stop laughing, I beg you please
collectively you add to his disease
Each of us has our own insecurities
My own is wrapped up in trying to please
I too have needs but inside I freeze
Measuring my words the things I say
Somehow, scares some people away
I want friends yet alone I play
Pretending that I'm okay
Please try to see me, I pray
I would never celebrate your demise
Look close there are tears in my eyes
I'm not happy unless you rise
Three men all different me not one of the guys
I accept you as you are
The gap seems wide but it isn't that far
Each is broken in a different way
Perfection not possible and that's okay
When I ask you questions
I want to hear what you say
It's not to throw your words back at you
Perhaps that's what some others do
You might think I gloat
but my heart doesn't play that note.
If you do well my spirit will float
For now, I'll ponder each thought
More is more, less is not
I have what I have you've got what you've got
Together we have quite a lot
Or if you wish, simply walk away
That's your choice
I've said what I have to say.
I reached out to a person with a hand of friendship and it had the exact opposite effect. Sometimes our intentions can be misconstrued, this made me sad.
I have two sisters whom I love and adore
We are poets who can write of blood and gore.
Evil, Wicked, and Demented are our nicknames
Being fun and shocking is a few of our games.
Evil, for that, is I
Has had enough people lie
And tell me of their fearful woes
To only find they were only foes.
Evil has an "evil" mind
That can deliciously find
What may not be normal to some
To me can be quite exquisite fun.
Wicked is learning to find
Her very own peace of mind.
That man with a black soul
Her heart he had done stole.
Wicked's mind is so "wickedly" twisted
That her vengeance can't be listed.
But make no idiotic mistake
She can strike you just like a snake.
Demented is the one who knows
How to reel in all the beaus.
She can smile so delightfully sweet
And men seem to just fall at her feet.
Her mind is the most bizarre
She can be the evilest by far.
On her face, you will see a beautiful smile
While inside "demented" schemes most vile.
We are each who we are
All a particular shining star
Separately a Libra, Capricorn, and Leo
Collectively, we are The Haunted Trio.
Me and Me
Thoughts on the cloning of a human being
There’s a me and a clone of me and if we meet,
Then how do we know which me is me and which
The other; and if I think I am me then am
I the other me, or is he someone else?
Me and me: just imagine if there was a you and you;
And if you and me and clone of me and clone of you
All met at once, would we (collectively us) sort ourselves
Into you-s and me-s that matched?
And, just suppose, the you and me that I think is
Me and you, turns out to be me and clone of you;
Would we know and would we care, or can we
Carry on just like you and me?
AND, and just suppose, through devices strange and
Technical, I could add an X and drop a Y and make
Of me a she, then (I’m sure it’s legal) if I mate with me
(OK – my clone), would I then give birth to me?
NO ONE REALLY CARES
Part 2
With a scheme from a team of human traitors who are unclean,
Straight up extreme and using it in a deceitful way,
Holding KNOWLEDGE of natural law, but manipulated bringing us decay,
May we all someday, see the lies and tainted blatant statements,
If I spoke this way in person, you would probably say to drop it,
So listen closely and see these are natural law compliments,
Right now as you read, Yes this very moment,
You have to agree, you have no spiritual mindful acknowledgement,
To any of my poetically written comments,
This message has been sent and must be put into action but don't rush,
Even this modern day scribe, alive and learning who to trust,
Most of us hide, side with the blind, ignorantly trusting our governments,
Raise the alarm!! Dam it's for real, we don’t even get the hint,
We are inattentive, lack being inventive, so we sit back and don't get this,
Ignorantly we rely on our current structured system,
So its not surprising we collectively invest our minds into everything,
We aren’t seeing, therefore we open the door to negative action,
Because the reality we are living is a huge distraction,
Our interactions of actuality doesn’t impact us enough,
To even contemplate bringing up spiritual investigations which is a must,
We lack legit validity and the understanding of true love,
But some of us have a chance, a little advanced with minds that rush,
Who gather up enough information to start questioning,
Asking "who in the hell, do we really trust"?
Knowledge into action with a robust mind removing the rust,
Starting to see my way forward I wipe off the dust,
With a small thought of disgust, I laugh in joy,
Enjoying what I’m seeing while inner cleaning with no fuss,
So we must trust in ourselves, ask for help from inside,
We are blind but in time we may get a small glimpse,
When we rinse our minds, we gain insight that’s simple,
Your physical body is the temple,
You planted a seed and what's being revealed is the whole apple,
The allegorical story of Adam and eve is factual,
So listen up and go learn about the Natural Law Principles.

To the GOD of all creation:
First of all PAPA GOD, I ask YOU to forgive me and cleanse
me from all unrighteousness and cleanse my heart and my
mind for, I know that I have opened my mouth and spoken things
that would have much better left unsaid and now, I want to come to YOU and pray for our nation and family members who do not know YOU.
So now LORD, I ask YOU that YOU would touch this nation and
our leaders, our President and his family, our Vice President
and his family and all other members of his administration.
LORD I also ask that YOU would protect members of the press that
are unveiling what is happening deep inside this nation
at its core. I ask that every serving member of Congress,
and the Senate, Judges, our Pentagon and military, be touched by
YOUR SPIRIT, LORD that YOU would pour out YOUR SPIRIT
one more time on this nation which has strayed so far away from
YOU. GOD, that YOU would give us another chance, individually and
collectively as a nation to REPENT before the GOD of the ages.
Would YOU pour out of YOUR SPIRIT – a sin-killing revival
a devil stomping, BLOOD bought revival… Would YOU pour out
the FEAR OF GOD, that people could know like never before
that YOU are alive and YOU are still on YOUR throne and that they would
come to KNOW JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR and that HE
is about to come back to earth for HIS church – the BRIDE OF CHRIST!
Would YOU touch our unsaved members of our families. Sons
and daughters, mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, cousins
and nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren,
sisters and brothers, in-laws and our neighbors and friends.
OH, GOD, we need YOU like never before!!! We are desperate
for YOUR touch, for YOUR presence, for YOUR leading, for
YOUR love, for YOUR forgiveness as, we have sinned before
YOU. LORD, YOU are needed and desired by many, many people
– please touch us again! Be LORD of this nation once again!!!
And, touch YOUR people, ISRAEL once again!
LORD, thank YOU for listening to my prayer and I am thanking
YOU for answering!!!
I love you LORD! YOUR daughter, Marilyn
Yup, just like this. This is how dad told us about the wonders of life. No eye contact at all.
One day my father told his four sons to climb into the car,
He wouldn’t tell us where we were going just that it wasn’t far.
I sat in the front next to dad the other three sat in back,
Boys it’s time we had a talk about a subject that you lack.
I want to talk to the four of you about something that’s called sex,
Collectively we held our breath because of the horror that came next.
I am sure that you have started to notice there’s a difference in girls,
Their bodies are soft, curvy and round and their hair looks good in curls.
I promised that I had taken some notice, there was no need for him to fear,
Because I was now sixteen years old and had been dating for over a year.
Then this talk is for the benefit of the younger ones in the back,
Be helpful and sit quietly and don’t give me anymore of your flack.
This trip in the car with him was the longest that could ever be,
Then he asked, “Can you define ridged for your brothers and me?”
The only thing that I could imagine worse than his talk selection,
Was when he extended his left arm in order to demonstrate an ********.
It hung flaccid out the window but slowly it started to rise,
Until it pointed straight to the left, a stiff arm, hard on prize.
Out the window the visual aid of my dad’s left arm *****,
Made the guy behind us think that we were turning at each corner.
As we returned to home dad said that mom had found some books,
They had information with helpful pictures and we should take a look.
From this whole experience there was something for me to learn,
Sometimes I’ll turn to my wife at night and signal for a turn.
Our family heartbroken when my father died
Looking back don't know how we survived
Must be an invisible hand that was our guide
Staying with strangers I swallowed my pride
Living at mercy of those who could provide
Looking back don't know how we survived
Dreaming of college quite starry eyed
Yearning to succeed as my mother advised
Living at mercy of those who could provide
A long time our family collectively cried
The essence of survival took us on a ride
Yearning to succeed as my mother advised
Endurance won over putting hurdles aside
Took years but we made it to the other side
The essence of survival took us on a ride
Don't wish on anyone such unwanted slide
Our family heartbroken when my father died
Took years but we made it to the other side
Must be an invisible hand that was our guide
