Cleansed By Fire

Burn
Texas
Smoldering
Ashes to dust
Scorching wildfires out of control

Everything you own gone in a moment
Consumed by fire
Into ash
Dead Earth
Lost

Found
New hope
From the ash
We will rebuild
From purified Earth God has given us

Cleansed

A full day of rain
has washed away the grime
that buried this soulful pain
rendered speechless back in time.

Premium Member Tulle Strewn Universe

Broth of froth fulfils its duty
Calls me forth for cleansing
Seaside summons with her beauty
Sordid sins, my drama mending

Tickled toes consume her tulle
Shell gems of replenishment
Roll readily, her threaded spool
Thighs swarmed by her punishment

Then she tugs me, draws me down
Fuelled with force which drives the world
Turgid topaz, dispatched waves drown
Sorrow in her salty spray, solacious swirl

Fuzz of ripped tulle rings in my eardrums
Ocean submerged, my private universe
Fizz of gripped torso invites redemption
Crystal next day newness she serves

Cleansed By Water

A dark embrace, quiet and cold
Born to sink into this mould
The earth a path of perfect distress
Of wolves and sheep, I was made to confess

So empty then, in playful repent
Such guilt in awe of all that I spent
All protest thrown into the sea
My spirit drowned by the monster in me

Then reborn, as silent as sin
A broken storm, a chaotic thing
Creating pain; scorching this world
The ocean’s cries going unheard

Casting stones at evil’s request
Into the pain my mirror detests
Her empty face; the lessons I fought
How many lost; how many sought?

Broken then, seeking despair
Designed to die; created to share
To fade alone, I sought barren lands
The winter ice then taking my hand

A cracking shell, the ocean beneath
Cleansed by rain encompassing me
A greater depth I’d never known
Awash with pain, but no longer alone

The soul I’d lost, holding me still
Empty before, but now I am filled
Reborn in light; reclaimed by the sea
The ice is gone, and now I am free

I COME
-DIRTY WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB NOW CLEANSED CLEAN-
I come
I come to the Father naked
He already knows my imperfections, my faults
Once clothed in sin now in his lost mind it is now covered
I come to the Father naked
In the blood of Jesus washed clean
Once clothed in sin now in his lost mind it is now covered
Cleanse by the blood of the Lamb I am whole again
In the blood of Jesus washed clean
He already knows my imperfections, my faults
Cleanse by the blood of the Lamb I am whole again
DIRTY WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB NOW CLEANSED CLEAN
I come

Love Cleansed This Soul

I’ve searched the deserts of my soul.
Yes, countless miles and times.
Thirsting for a place where love
could quench, this troubled will.

And so, I roamed those stead less hills
on a camel draped with gold.
Glittering noughts, I had to give.
Love was mere wanton goad.

But now, I have (just) me that’s left.
And You, my thirst relief.
Oasis of this Magi’s tref
Love, cleanse this soul its grief.

The Paint Movers

The Paint Movers.

The old boat sits in the dry dock. Layers of shabby paint covering the vessel. The boat wears a mask of magnanimity, like a woman about to apply a mud pack.

The old boat has a date with the cosmetic warrior's, who come clothed like space-men, in white overalls, rubber gloves, and goggles. She is being undressed, they delete the surface layers of residue.

Exfoliate, her with solvent, attack her with the tools of their trade. Caustic scumble her hull. The old boat is being cleansed with a formula, scrubbed like a dirty step. The cosmetic space-men reveal her clean skin.

The face mask has worked, the cosmetic warriors claim their victory. They hop about as if doing a moon walk. The years of wear and tear have gone. The old boat has a new lease of life.

A Sullen Silken Star

Stiffly staring
from a faded
frightened far
is a sullen
silken star.
Scornfully
scattered behind
it’s skittish
skin of scolded
scowling scars.
Youthfully
yearning
for a life
contentedly
cleansed in
candlelight.

Premium Member Coming To the Altar Cleansed

 I come to the altar
As myself broken and abundance and bent
I look unto Jesus My Hope my savior it's only in Him
I am saying call tells me that I am's God
And as His mercies rain I will I will follow Him
On this day as I pray
As I speak life in a terrain plain
On this day and forever sale on this day
On the seas of iniquity I am freed and unto eternity
I come, I come to the altar of heaven
I come coming to the altar to be cleansed
I come to God coming to the altar to be cleansed
A brand new being coming to the altar to be cleansed

Cleansed

I turned and stood to face it;
fingers ran all over me;
arms of the wind wrapped around
and played music in my ears.
Tattered stratus strewed the sky,
above me dragged and shredded
Droplets pricked my tingling skin,
blown out from clouds to cleanse me.

Cleansed

I watched the pen bleed the ink
held by my hand, speak my thoughts
of deep love, of sorrow, of joy,
of yesterday….like an unseen wound,
I allowed my pen to whisper secrets,
cry out loud feelings of beast or lamb.
Bottled up pain, this cage opened up,
as the Dove of Peace…. found flight….
          The last thing I expected-

Scripture reference: Matthew 8:1-4

CLEANSED

See Jesus descending from the mountain.
They were waiting - the large crowd.
Eyes on him, they followed him.
Right away -
a leper kneels before Christ.

If you are willing…I am willing

You can make me clean…Be made clean

Immediately
the leper was cleansed…Don’t tell anyone
Go…show yourself to the priest…

Show and tell, that’s our game -
mostly for our own fame.
Can we just accept
the Jesus gift?

The one they need,
spurred on by hearing,
by believing, by tongue-confession,
will they seek or
walk away?

When being handed gifts of bread and fish,
healings and sweet talk, or hanging with
the gang - all is good, but
God will separate the chaff from the wheat.

A large crowd followed, but
how many are left
to receive the gift
of eternal life
in Christ Jesus?

If we are willing, we will receive the whole word,
the living word, God’s word - the one that birthed
the human race, and not erase
the word we don’t agree with.

Be cleansed…are we willing?

Sin's Ugly Stain

SINS UGLY STAIN
It took David quite awhile
When guilty of deep sin
To recognize his guilt
And then be cleansed within

Solomon ran amuck
For many wicked years
And did a lot of damage
Before his repenting tears

Even worse was Manassah
A really wicked king
He suffered grief affliction
Before his cleanse within

Oh, let us know, my friend,
Before we repent too late
It doesn't pay too linger
And play around with fate.
Because some men like Judas
Became so hard at heart
He could not repent at all
Nor from evil ever part

So get on your knees today
Make sure your slate is clean
And let the love of Jesus
Remove sin's ugly stain

Cleansed In the Fire

Oooo burn,
He just took your drive,
You gotta learn,
Picked up on risk,
Don't get mad,
Lifes a diss,
Made it home,
But the sins pull at me,
Arrested around every corner,
He stole money,
He ate too much,
Living life and it's enough,
Make sure he lose it all,
On my way home sin city fall,
The Sins gonna like the present I left,
It says get lucky and only a doc can save,
Living like an old man,
It pay,
Finally going home,
I need another vessel,
Then I'll be twice the man,
Test yull
