Once Upon a Ego

Once upon a time there never was an Ego
For it was alive by the breath of wishes of those who were suffocating from it
I carried the cross for being egoist
Had my hands nailed, had myself hailed
Confident rain was self-absorbed
Self-esteem felt the pain
Self-assertive had risen and reign
To conquer and succeed I was self-assured
That I too was not self-conscious
I never was an empty vessel 'cause I was self-contained
I couldn't handle to be self-effacing
Greatness was self-evident
People stand with me for being self-opinionated
For they cannot fall for self-pity
In the frame of success I see a self-portrait
Less of the devil for I was self-possessed
I had plans to be wealthy but not selfish
For my soul is sold to me

Once upon a time there never was an Ego
For it was alive by the breath of wishes of those who were suffocating from it
Created by mental act, a big head bloated by self-inflicted praise and external compliments
It is evident that its been hated that I've been Ahead (a head)
Its better if people held their breaths and never deliver compliments
Reduce the explosion of me being big headed
Or leave me alone with my good looks & big nose
And I remain breath taking
Taking away opinions and displaying facts
Handsome, good looking has never been the question
To answer attraction with confidence

As I walk confidently around big names, as big headed
As they speak unmoving words with no flames
My big name, amongst lame names,
I lament to their ineptitude
I have suffered the loudest noises of being tagged as arrogant
I now continue to walk boldly  &
tramp on fingers of those who have cut their hands short not to applaud me

But what I say is Label me arrogant
Certify and stamp me as arrogant
Race for first place to call me too confident
And your opinion comes in at last place
At the finish line, my gold medal, my golden thoughts
My presence is victorious,
Make me a subject to you predicates
As a premier of self-acceptance
A victim & short-faller of your acceptance
A preface to ego
There never was Once upon on a time
But there was confidence, it always had its Ego
Crucify me for juggling your critics
Once upon an ego
Once upon a Me
Cos it was, has, and will always be about me and my Ego

A Visit From a Social Worker

His hand reached out to mine, open,
Holding it, I smiled, our eyes danced with understanding,
Form and blush outlined his expectations,
But I could see that there may be fear inside.

Mary restated their predicament,
That the child was born out with the marriage bond,
And that people were swaying to the opposite side,
And course dialogue, laughter and spitting were norm.

So I asked the two for their thoughts and predictions,
About the child, if he perhaps could be like, special?
And they specified that he would cure, heal and exorcise,
And also promised that they’d talk to him about the poor.

Could this baby be the messiah?
I pondered and hoped in their certainty;
Was this the predicted son of god?

He would be free from aggressive victimisation,
If we could just name him as god's son.

So I suggested to his parents,
That if the wise men came with a quest,
To accept the name Jesus Christ,
And certify the census, no less.

Freedom for some is in lying,
When there’s no possible alternatives,
But I believe Joseph never lied,
In the population census of Bethlehem,
That just so happened to pass by.

The child would have been suppressed by all,
Assumed to be dirty and unclean,
Not for chat or dialogue,
And certainly not for work in a trade of his call,
Or for work in any trade for that matter.

Nothing would ever have been done,
The poor would never have been healed,
Or not so quickly for sure in history;
The government would not have been rifled,
And Christ would not have come.

Treating the poor for health problems,
Would have come through government legislation,
A long time after Christ,
In an austere, aloof manner.

People to people relationships,
Would not have been respected,
If care had been awarded top-down,
By bureaucrats and officials:
As supervisors of the protected.

Society at that time was narrow minded,
Stuck in traditional religion;
There were outcasts, sinners, infectious people,
And assumptions were remedial and red:
There were no special people,
No exceptions to the rule,
Only one place for the messiah confided.

One baby matters to me,
A life should be saved at any cost and risk,
Because the abilities you show when young,
Shouldn’t be muffled or labeled regressive,
But nurtured in acceptance and love.

Thoughts of An African Young Child

I regret having been born
to forlorn in this noxious, wicked world.
I distaste that I was born
in a biased, impovershirished, corrupt society.
I was born to careless; unloving parents.
I am living but unknown,
popular but uncounted.
No birth certificate to certify I am a living human being.
I am invisible to my State,
I am not included when they plan for others.
I regret having been born
in an abusive, malfunctional, disjointed society,
like that in which my mother slept unlettered.
A society where one aims to unnerves one for personal praise.
I curse the day that brought me to this world.
A world where life dictates my lifestyle,
A world where I am a victim of circumstances,
and my wits are buried in oblivion.
Africa is the cradle of mankind
yet her sons and daughters developed foreign lands first,
her children are haunted by these vicious cycles of poverty.
And now leaving Africa has been the African dream!
I wish was not one of these children.
I regret having been born;
To…believe the sky is the limit
when Armstrong’s feet stepped on the moon.

September Sister of Mine

On a sunny yet cool September morn...
A beautiful baby girl was born...
She weighed in at a perfect number nine...
And the best part was she was now a Sister of mine...
Life thereafter was awesome for me...
Cause life was filled with love you see..
We both learned from each other...
Cause,,we were now Sister and Brother...
The years have passed and we’re now in our teens...
We are both on the same page..or so it seems...
You have high aspirations in Life , as do I...
So I wrote this poem to verify...
As your Brother I do certify...
We both will ,. in LIFE... succeed...
Using this Philosophy...

DEGRADATION

            Degradation in life or character
               can never be allowed,
               but is to be followed
uplift in each step: That’s the prime factor.

            Progress in human civilization
               to continue onward
              never to push backward.
           That is the perfect realization.

On journey, work hard with full devotion.
            Must have self- confidence.
            Depend on competence
             to avoid any defamation.

          Evolution in Nature to certify
               always for betterment.
               Process not to ferment
but on ceaseless trial to rectify.

         Upgrade own life on dedication.
             Have faith on basic Morals:
              Those are Universal.
        You must elevate next Generation.

Bureaucrat's wonderland, admin sensational!
Dealing with legions of forms immigrational
Fill 'em out, print 'em out, copy each copy
Certify, verify, check it's not sloppy
Ensure that your mug-shots' dimensions abide
By strict regulations, for proof bona fide
Designed to deter and deny the defrauder
Tho' he is from England, not South of the border
Questions for terrorists, questions for spies
Questions for arms dealers (unsavoury guys):
“Do you like bombs and explosive devices?
Do you sell drugs at unbeatable prices?
Are you a Communist, socialist ****?
Do you intend hiding crack up your butt?
Your shotgun's permitted (so long as you've brought her
For wasting wild bison and Indian slaughter)
Hoping to join the best nation on earth?
Show me your balls and certificate of birth
(Not just the awesomest, also the wealthiest
And if you have money, we're even the healthiest)”
Fingerprints, medicals, primary screening
Interviews, vaccines and queries (well-meaning)
“Tho' thousands of dollars you've paid for this pleasure
Now enter and exit our country at leisure”

Why Our Love Won'T Fly

When love gets buried in the sand
Looking around to see where this love will land
When your love has become so demanding
Everywhere it takes you you're left standing
Not able to signify how this love all got by
Why our love won't fly

Unable to certify the love you try to justify
One that is broken that no longer works on high
It's not because of we didn't try
At this point, I'm not looking for a reason why
Not able to let my tears just cry

I hope you understand why we must say goodbye
We started as good friends
Nobody ever said that friendship has to end
Because it's not possible to mend
Without having to pretend
This relationship has come to an end

Can’t be thinking we must bend our feelings
When it's much easier on focusing on just being friends
No reason to extend any more of this season
We should both just focus on breathing
And meeting on the other side
So we can let our love just lye

Looks like this is our love goodbye
That was broken and unable to fly
So we must trust that this is the best for us
Let's not make a big fuss or cuss
Rather lets just not discuss
What broke our love crush
To bring this relationship to an end

Twenty Dollar Bill

My daughter wrote a poem
“Twenty Dollar bill”
It will have memories of her
That will certify
“Once upon a time in Hollywood.”

We decipher, we digress
Pizza talks, Hot Pizza
Cold Beverages

And we surmise
Because we need to be
Our best selves
In becoming.

Democracy devolves into tyranny, Plato cautioned.
Flooded by the frigid torrent of factionalism,
will we certify his prediction?

Blinded by the prevarication of public discourse.
Numbed by the inundation of disinformation.
Crippled by the conspiracy of doubt.
The real deep state festers in our cortex,
a place where the charlatans of fallacy
invade,
a dwelling where terrorists of mind
take control.

But the terrain before us is vast.
The dense forest and effulgent meadows ahead are unmapped,
musky, fructuous forest floor perfumes the breeze,
The scarlet skyline of the dewy untrodden beckons us.
Abundant life is our rehearsal.
Can we honestly say we know for what?

Yet, such rapture is eloquent in our dreams.
Such reverie will arrest the parsing of our quintessence.
Our distortions are lifted when we are united
in communitarian struggle.

Resurrecting - Sac-Ower-Eous Child

The realms of resurrection buried,
Excavating bloody beliefs of slavery,
Decimating riots in a blink,
Rejuvenating imagery primed energy.

Shrillness of voice overpowering the silence,
Tears bursting eyes insane,
Holiness captured and tortured,
Bodies are in colossal pain.

Daemons dancing in chaos of secularity,
Dungeons blasted by uncanny clout,
A shrine struggling to rise above the regime,
Insisting to conquer sacredness stout.

Freeness exhilarating inside obscurity,
Comatose creatures are honing existence
Yet a miniature annoying death,
Courageously battling with paranormal stance.

Enacting with mischievous precedent,
Shielding the human race from “The ultimate”,
Slaughtering designed platform for resurrection,
It’s time to dance the dance of Devastation to elevate

The architect of this lighteous hope is a “Child”,
A child who preserves the invasion of Godly surmise,
The Power of thousand stars unite to exterminate,
Rest in Peace “Darkness” in scintillating demise.

Spiky mind crafted Absolute revolution,
Where noises will be concealed inside silence,
A sun will rise from west signalling Victory,
Lords Dance of Destruction will certify the resurgence

This child will craft a world of peace,
Mists and shams destroyed in remuneration of brighter sky,
Darkness will deliver the light,
Entire universe will be enlightened with “Child’s Deify”

That Sacred – Powerful – Courageous child destine,
To end pain, darkness, daemons and rise as divine.

Surrender Thy Soul To My Body Part 1

Make love to me oh my habibi
speak in your motion and deeds
swear in desire plus sensation ya habibi
that am the queen who awakes your needs.

Let the wild fire in your dark eyes
whisper of thy want and passion
let your heart clarify no more lies
that its rhythm and beat are only for my satisfaction.

Because baby am lost.
Between all the fighting and blame
it feels like our love has frost
Only can't figure out what in this game
does scare and sadden me most
between being without you just me
or living with you at any cost.

Surrender thy soul is my body's plea
my feel and texture is on your decree
No restrictions my king
testify in any position you please to swing.

Seal my doubts silence my insecurities
be profound remind me with sheer inequity
why i felt safe enough to show you all my faults and imperfect specialties
why i let down my guard made you my shield and let you lead my equity.

awaken those emotions, the notions we felt on conception of our love
once again let this four walls, the neighbors, and velvet of the night
certify that we are shameless, scoundrels and every other wicked word above
when it comes to our fantasies and pleasure we don't care of any other sight.

Shake's Spear Juliet's Tale

"True, I talk of dreams and things to be
That bemete nothing but vain fantasy
Because they lie in the child of an idled man
And yet you choose not to understand."

In all my pain and distress
Broken hearted still trying my best
I've been battered and tossed
Suffered from stiffened gains and great loss
Fictitious predicitions
Dictioning my heart beats and burns
Chizles and churns
Impatient for love's turn
Hatred halted and seized
Completely rotated 180 degrees
My spirit whines and questions me

Did my soul love til now
Foreswear it's sight
For I never appreciated true love or beauty
Until that night

Eminent details like a Siberian tiger stripe
But in my prime my love is Him
I turn to face all corners in my prism
Complexly complicated like a Sodoku rubic's cube
He calls me Juliet because he's my Montague:

My only love sprung from my only hate
Too early seen unknown and known too late
Prodigious birth of love it is to me
That I must love my loathed enemy

The lines of poetic Juliet
I guessed that would certify my destiny of a Capulet
I open my soul to greet my mind
Of what my heart chose to leave behind
The simplest situation should shield me from whats new
For your love is my strength and strength will get me through
Feasting presence of the softest music to attending ears
The silver sweet sound of a lovers tongue by night appears
And yet still, our families, they try to seize
The pure fire from our hands and don't believe
Even in vestal modesty
They attempt to steal immortal blessings I give to thee
And as the envious moon glows and tides rise
What has become true will then become wise
It is then that love lies
Not in our hearts but in the heart of our eyes

Paper Thin

I just wanted to leave a footprint. Proof we existed.
There will come a moment where you close your eyes for the final time and I don't want you to question what we had. I only ever wanted to be the last person you see.
All the breaths I inhaled where solely for you. I lived, not to follow you, or give you direction, but to be right at your side, needed or not.
I felt for you. I felt love. I felt happy. And I felt sad.
I wrote a million words in poem and prose to certify all you are to me. I catalogued every moment we shared, all the things I never got to say.
I was hopeful. That you'd break from your chains and fly to me. I've learnt my words won't set you free. My actions should've been enough.
We're as paper thin as the pages we now live on
I was afraid.
That you didn't trust or understand the devotion.
I felt I had to document every silly thing you said. I've kept away everytime you broke me, everytime I was made to feel stupid or worthless. All the hurt and I didnt turn away once. I'm still here. Don't doubt the devotion.
I locked away all the times you held me high to grasp at the stars.
Seems I was too late. The stars we see are already dead.
I just wanted to leave a footprint. Proof we existed.

Sometimes it's hard.

One day the angels will ask me
The heaven ticket to certify
My works on Earth to testify
I’ll show them papers of poetry

If the angels want to consider
One of the loveliest artistries
To assure a high-top quality
Exhibiting the genuine owner

My modest response will be
It’s too tough to remember
I wrote to encourage readers
To detour their daily difficulties

Good things I’ve done down there
I couldn’t hand pricy donations
But my sweet compositions
Heartening people ready to dare
