In ancient times when knights were bold,
They dressed in armor, so we're told.
When they went out to face their foe,
Their armor protected them head to toe.
Christians we must do the same,
Or be struck down by Satan's aim.
His flaming arrows fly all around,
Intending to knock us to the ground.
So put on God's armor without delay,
We need His protection everyday.
For our struggle is not against what we can see,
But the powers of darkness are our enemy.
Stand firm then and dress with all haste,
Start with truth buckled 'round your waist.
Satan fights dirty by spreading lies,
But the belt of God's truth will make us wise.
Next is the Breastplate of Righteousness,
That God provides for all who are His.
It's the righteousness of Christ covering you,
That the evil one cannot stand up to.
Now cover your feet with the readiness of,
Sharing God's gospel of peace and love..
Take the Shield of Faith and keep it near,
To deflect Satan's arrows of confusion and fear.
Place the Helmet of Salvation firmly on your head,
It will keep Satan's lies from filling you with dread.
He wants to make you doubt your salvation is sure,
But the helmet will guard your mind and keep you secure.
Your armor is complete, but now you need a sword,
So take the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of the Lord.
God's Word is sufficient to defend or attack.
With God's Word in your heart you can hold Satan back.
With your armor in place and your Sword in your hand,
Be strong in the Lord and in His power stand.
And pray in the Spirit at all times and all ways,
Cause the enemy trembles when Saints start to pray!

Like our smartphone powers us through our day
We have to learn to put God into play
In the most powerful way
He is in our hearts to stay
So we must start our day
Asking God for his protection when we pray
Against life's worst kind of infections
That trips us up allowing us to lose our direction
Our Lord with all his loving affection
Gives us a suit of armor to shield us from evil
We constantly feel that is ever so real
Knowing in Gods deal
He provides us with his holy seal
A suit of armor made of unpenetrable steel
Bearing the breastplate of righteousness
Allowing health happiness and good fortune
To make its way into our lives
Giving us a helmet of salvation
So we can be saved and redeemed
Throughout our duration
Of our time here in his creation
Learning and cultivating in his ways
Providing his mighty sword for our protection
Against satan's demons and warlords
When we put Gods armor on every day
We ensure satan will never take our soul away
Because we keep our faith and give God our trust
So all satans plans will be reduced to dust
Loving God is always a must
To stay far away from Satan's lust
Everything he promises is a bust
God is our moral crust
Whom we should never distrust

In Jerusalem's Holy Temple
the High Priest entered
the Holy-of-Holies once a year
on that Holiest of Days, Yom Kippur
From the top of his exotic, oriental turban
dressed for the occasion was he
Dazzling gems on a breastplate of gold
bells ringing from his cloak for you and me...
...to know when he'd entered to beseech of the Lord
forgiveness and pardon for every Jew's sins
Uttering the Name of the Ineffable One ~
a most solemn proposition
And though dressed for the occasion was he
how humbling to stand, as if naked, in front of God Who
had custom-stitched every inch of his garments ~
commanded him on Yom Kippur what he should do

Each day we need our armor for the fight,
to wage the battle from daybreak to night ~
protection to wield.
The struggle is against not flesh and blood
but evil forces; enemies of God
souls, the battlefield.
The belt of truth fastened, the strong breastplate
of godliness, gospel boots laced up straight ~
faith, our robust shield.
Wearing the helmet of his saving grace,
God's Word, the two-edged sword ready in place ~
His wisdom revealed.
Dark days are coming; pray and do not fear.
God's armor helps his people persevere ~
Satan's fate is sealed.

Put On The Full Armor of God
“12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Eph 6:12-17 NIV
Put On The Full Armor of God,
So you can stand against the Devil’s schemes.
Our struggle’s not against flesh and blood,
That on the surface seems.
It’s against the powers of darkness
And the Spiritual forces of evil,
So Put On The Full Armor of God
To protect you from the Devil.
Buckle the belt of truth
Right around your waist.
Guard yourself with the breastplate of righteousness,
By your heavenly Father placed.
Adopt the gospel of peace and love,
And take up faith’s shield,
So you can extinguish the evil one’s arrows—
Never more to yield.
Put on the helmet of salvation,
And place your sword by your side.
The sword of the Spirit is God’s word,
That provides you power inside.
Pray in the Spirit continually—
Your armor to protect.
Be alert and pray for all the saints,
That they may be circumspect.
The Full Armor of God is essential
To protect you from the unseen foe.
Make sure you wear it continually,
Whatever you do or wherever you go.
You are the Lord’s ambassador,
So be fearless in your armor.
Allow the Lord to fight your battles,
And He will show you favor.

Hated by many, not favored by all
Nevertheless, we must answer the call
Standing on the front lines, weary and worn
Battle scars evident, from a world full of scorn
With the belt of truth, buckled at our waist
Our message of love and His amazing grace
Our breastplate of righteousness, strapped firmly in place
Harsh judgment from a world, we must finish the race
Our feet walking in the gospel of peace
Chosen by God, we will not see defeat
With the shield of faith, never to fear
Attacks of the enemy, our God is near
The helmet of salvation, covers our head
The sword of the spirit, bringing life to the dead
In the face of persecution, His kingdom to come
With God by our side, We will not stand alone
Opening up our blinded eyes to see
The wonder and awe of His majesty
As the servant of Elisha, saw chariots of fire
Ready for battle, the stakes could not be higher
Many precious souls are on the line
As prophecy fulfills its many signs
Satan is loose and seems to be winning
We must recruit the dying to the living
Many are chosen but few answer the call
Few, we may stand but we are never to fall
Strong and courageous, in Christ we stand
Spreading the gospel across our great land
The harvest is plentiful while laborers are few
Where is the church? Has Satan silenced them too
Wake up church from your slumber, there is no time to fear
The clock is ticking, time is at hand, the end is near
Called to the front lines, never to waver
To battle for souls on behalf of our Savior
Jesus as our captain, we will not suffer loss
We are, The Army of God, Soldiers of the Cross

The armor of the lord is never heavy on my back.
The fight is not just one that's fought against the flesh and blood.
For I am armed with all his righteousness against attack.
Light will overcome the darkness as we march on through the mud.
One can be an army when he marches with the Lord.
One can be a symphony when striking heaven's chord.
One can be the victor over evil, hate, and lies.
For one who fights for truth is not alone in Jesus eyes.
The breastplate is the heart that beats God's love into the world.
Feet covered with the peace that we pursue in every man.
The shield of faith defends against the wickedness that's hurled.
The sword will speak the word that conquered all since time began.
One can be an army when he marches with the Lord.
One can be a symphony when striking heaven's chord.
One can be the victor over evil, hate and lies.
For one who fights with truth is not alone in Jesus eyes.
There are reinforcements to be called on from above.
The cry for righteousness has always been an angel song.
Thank you father for the armor crafted with your love.
As I walk into the battle Lord, I pray that I am strong.
One can be an army when he marches with the Lord.
One can be a symphony when striking heaven's chord.
One can be the victor over evil, hate, and lies.
For one who fights with truth is not alone in Jesus eyes.

Lyric
I was attracted to her troubles, her artful exits,
her love was terrible, she hurt me in all the right ways,
hides behind the tall tree of my inspiration
whistling like a playful truth easy to please & difficult to release,
says goodbye kindly & curiously as a dream departing under duress,
just when you thought she'd tell you the password to Heaven
she would scamper away as shewolf suspicious of where she lay
or prowling on the scent of prey,
I fell in love with how she fought mistrust and 'bad odds'
teaching me that patience often rests on hurtful wisdom,
but when this woman chooses to gallop into the gallery of my growth
wild and willfully, I quickly comprehend a true friend,
promises and time need not be bartered for
since emotions and experience are the blessings of our bond,
as my Poet Girl grows stronger, sings louder, strides prouder
I ponder happily that the only timepiece the Cosmos holds
is the connection of beating hearts, the affection of unjudging reception,
and now, above the melee of my routine I see her blazing towards me again
not falling near, rather raising me to that innocent & infallible trail
where tears become diamonds & frigidity faints in the arms of faith,
her love is no longer so terrible, more so terrific as temptation,
however, she continues to sharpen her blade on the bone of my breastplate,
and I resist not the mercy of her dangerous kiss -

Ode
"5, Pentameter"
Where goest thou scribe?
you write and write and write
but nothing right
black lines
words artisan
like charcoal
who sees the marks
pentameter scorched
smoking invisible
in that place
just so
branded above
the breastplate
the wrist pauses
the sword held aloft
the thought hovers
waiting to be
cut
in half
and dropped
but 5 too shallow
and the grave,
too deep
the eyes
en garde
the mind
like a stitch
in time
cast off
shuffles
soft shoe
off
this mortal coil
tiger balm
lit
with
mosquitoes
to sleep
separated
captured
eventually

Narrative
Half flesh, half steel, sinews and twined wire,
Begotten in the heat of half-love, tempered
By hatred and the axe, fathered by one
Who killed her mother, the male chauvinist boar
Whose eye-teeth, razor-sharp, saw through the spine,
Joy-sword in sheath. Wrought iron, blood vessels,
Bone and cable, one part conceived, the other forged
On the hard anvil where gusts of blood are seed
Of all the axeman most does fear – cast iron woman
With stanchions for a trunk, iron breastplate,
A malleable black heart, a metallic chastity belt
No man may boast of stealing and still live,
Who beats men at their own battle games,
A dab hand with the axe herself, as salty tears
And globules of mercury exude from grey glands

My ribcage is like a conch shell
where you can press your ear
against my narrow chest
where the music of the ocean tides
meet the songs of the mermaids
flowing and circulating
through my heart made of ocean water
and my breastplate made of coral reefs

My dear love, gaze within your heart
And feel the love thats growing
Where the divine petals start
And the trembling flowers glowing.
Where dovelike stars in towering light
Bears the seeds of beauty
Upon the breastplate of your heart
Love has done its duty.
Feel the stems, the hidden root
Of loves soaring height
Ride the wind,the happy wind
That takes us out to flight.
My dear love, tread no more in sadness
Your mourning heart so deep
Take my hands and fly with me
To the brinks of heavens peak!

Like a knight in shining armor
You rescued me from a place of somber
Eager to know, eager to see
A man like you, can it truly be?
With your speeches of serenade
My loneliness begins to fade
Man of chivalry and full of charm
Swept me away in your securing arms
But soon, I realize behind that breastplate
A plague in your heart lies a hideous trait
A man in disguise, you hide behind
All your destructive intentions and ruthless lies
Needed my trust to seal the deal
Wisely, you have mastered how I feel
A sly expert at the art of deception
My heart is now in your possession
Impressed, you trained yourself very well
A cold heart hidden away, not one could tell
You played me like a fool, I really must say
But please don’t stop upon my dismay
Body and heart I gave; my trust you stole
Now it’s time for the next victim to pilfer her soul
Quickly you fled; distance at its farthest
It seems I fell at the hands of a con artist

The disciple Paul said to remain steadfast while waiting for the return of Christ
He said to hold yourself sober and upright and dwell in God's light
Today when I look at society I am somewhat dismayed
That we are in a spiritual battle each and every day
Fighting against principalities seen and unseen
Wrestling with immoral behaviour and ideologies down right mean
Divide and conquer is the Adversary's strategic battle plan
We need to stay on the battlefield side by side, hand in hand
We are at war fighting against rampant evilness
We need to stay steadfast knowing that we are blessed
For if we seek first the kingdom of God we will come to find
The righteousness, the grace and the mercy that Jesus left behind
And when we put on the breastplate of hope and love and the helmet of salvation
We are now prepared to engage the enemy and fight for the duration
We need to love each other, lift each other up, to be encouraging and respect all
For these are the weapons we will use to make the enemy fall
So stay on the battlefield fighting for truth and your spiritual life
And remember the battle is not just yours
it also belongs to our Saviour Jesus the Christ

Blessed be the name of Lord Ha-Ha.
I worship at the altar of Ha-Ha.
In his blood I am washed.
In his raiment I am clothed.
In his breastplate I will conquer
And in his name I will trust.
The honor of his blessing I will seek.
The grace of his presence I will covet.
He leads me to channel 60
He splitteth my sides.
My cups runneth over with mammary juice.
The fruit of his womb is as ambrosia
And I will dwell in the house of Ha-Ha forever.
