Freezing ...
in my bones
Purple fingers and toes
Twenty-eight finger bones X two
Twenty-eight toe bones X two
A large base with pain
Stiffness, can not be bent
Six hundred muscle cells
will not cooperate with the brain

Next minute;

Burning heat
Reading glasses ... fogging
Drops of sweat in the forehead
Red fingers and toes
The eyes sting
The letters doubles
Throat dry and sore
Cough that feels suffocating
Rib bones turned inside out
like an umbrella in storm

Feel ;

Trapped ... need oxygen
Parts of the motor nerve fiber
out of balance
The body feels ...
as a old donkey                                                                                                .
I have no patience                                                                                     .
to have the flu ... it's boring .
"Flue" mean fly on Norwegian .
A fly buzzing in the window frame .
                                                                                          .
       .... let me out ...(!)   .                                         .
               ... it's spring          .          .           .           .
                                                  .

It's a Very Boring Day

Today is a very boring day,
There is nothing good to do,
I went crushing through the toilet door and
landed in the loo,
There's a cobra nesting in my pants,
and a wombat on my head,
There's a walrus flopping here and there,
By god, I think I'm mad!

Today is a just so boring,
I swallowed a stick of glue,
there's a goblin hoard in my backyard and
a pack of werewolves too.
There's a chicken atop a unicorn,
a penguin swinging a sword,
there's a Leprechaun feeling all forlorn,
Oh, I'm so thoroughly bored!

Today's such a boring day,
I slipped and banged my face,
A spaceship crush-landed on the roof
and set the house ablaze,
A meteor came looming into view,
as volcanoes roared away,
Oh well, there's nothing good to do,
it's a very boring day.

Death Is Too Boring

"Why keep fighting to breathe to live?"
Young girl ask the old man.
He been laying on this bed for five years now
each dawn he get more frail
smaller
the pain intensifies...
But his eyes remains as clear as the azure skies.
He motions his great granddaughter to draw the curtains
slowly
half a step a time
he make his way to the window and push them wide
"Princess" He calls her
"I have lived more decades than i bargained for.
I have seen wars and birth of nations
Cradle of Civilization and discovery of technology
and this thing going around,revolution you call,i have bore witness to."
His shaky hand reach for the cuppa on the table
after two three mellow sips he continuous.
"I have loved and been adored
Cherished as i have been treasured
hurt as much as i have been harmed
rejected as much as i been dejected
judged as much as i have been mis-quoted...
I have tasted and own world's most exotic flavors
I have taken risks and build empires that will live more than any of you
I have caved a name that your generations will forever ride on
I have walked in the wilderness and a left a trail where others will follow..."
"I have done,experienced,seen and have it all."
He clench his toothless jaw that runs a crease on his face
"Your mother think i have lived too long."He laments
And to you my little dove, am another burden.
You are all eager to see me gone
you pray my lungs will fail me anytime soon."
He spits on the ground,then shoot the young lady a disgusting look
"Why i keep living?i keep breathing?i keep fighting?
I have but a phrase for an answer."
"DEATH IS TOO BORING."
Haha!
He lets out a mean laugh that echoes down the hallway
followed by a long rough dry cough
"Not to today Mr.Death,not today."
He sit back and continue to enjoy the ambrosia.
He has seen another spring,
he awaits the summer,the fall and the winter after that!

And so in Grandpa's words
i find a lesson i shall forever keep
to fight the hollows of each night for a new day
to make each breath count while i still have my being
and to keep on keeping on living
because somewhere down the horizon
in the dark shadows of the sun
death lurks.
And like grandpa says
DEATH IS TOO BORING!

Boring Class But Saved By the Bell!

Clock ticking like crazy while my teacher is explaining
Scribbling on my paper during the time that is remaining.
Watching the clock religiously as if time would speed up
the teacher takes a sip from his big blue coffee cup.

Due to his monotony I have no idea what hes speaking about.
as he writes on the white board I try to tune him out.
Interrupted while thinking about what lunch is today
my teacher asks about the topic and if I have anything to say.
He stares at me rudely as a smirk spreads on his face
I know hes secretly excited that he gets to put me in my place.

I stutter as I try to remember what exactly he was asking
I wouldn't be in this dilemma if I was good at multitasking.
Press my lips together and hope the bell will ring
but I feel as helpless as a baby bird with a broken wing.
Maybe my facial expression will make the teacher think I'm pondering
even though he knows this whole time my mind has been wandering.

Teacher bows his head in complete and utter frustration
I knot my eyebrows together in false concentration.
The teacher clears his throat but its not heard very well
because at this moment I have been saved by the bell!

Premium Member Dead Boring

Thoughts keeps rushing through my head
I wonder what it’s like when you are dead
Do you still ‘wake up’ every morning
Or is being dead just really boring?

I wonder what it’s like in heaven
Do they have a tea break at eleven
And sit and chat about their day
Get on with jobs, moan about pay

Is heaven just like paradise
I hope it is, it would be so nice
To be somewhere without a care in the world
Get pampered and even get my hair curled

In this life I just hate to be late
But I have no wish to rush to heaven’s gate
If I make an error I hope god is forgiving
Because I want to remain in the land of the living

The thought of dying is not fun
I don’t want to be alone, away from everyone
Life is all too short for some I fear
So cherish those you hold so dear

I found out today that this poem is to be published in a book called 'Faith and Hope' by United Press ltd. They want to change the title to 'Thoughts' but this actually takes away the fact 'dead boring' is a play on words so I have asked the original title is maintained. Jan Allison 3rd March 2014

Monorhyme ~ a Boring Day...

~~~~
Oh today seems to be such a bore
Nothing to complete, no chore
I wish I could be out more
Enjoy the Dull grey clouds by the shore
Or that I could go home & snore
Listening or reading some folklore
Enjoying the day to the core
Dancing and burning the floor
Or shopping at a mall’s store
There’s so much out there to explore
Stuff you can’t simply ignore
At last the clock strikes four
I hit out and about the door
Darn the traffic-jam I swore
Through dusty roads I scour
At last traffic’s better than before
Wind blowing at my face, I so adore
Plush surroundings for eyes, galore
Soon through empty roads I tore
& suddenly around corner there’s a Furor
Oh I they're watching the cricket score
Cricket obsessed nation we are, hardcore
Hope we win is all I implore
After a long drive I feel so sore
At this moment I dint want anymore
Laziness in me began to soar
Just wanna reach my bed’s décor
Sleep and snooze around till yore
Boring Joke
I was trying to tell you something
For a long time
The word that will bore you
Maybe you got mad at me
Embarrassment
Sweating
Smiling lips
Your true and innocent heart stops me
The word is bothering me
I can not sleep
Today I must say this
Please! do not mind
I am saying this from my core feelings
Today it is very cold!
Do not go outside!
Vapidity of a Salaried Life
Everyday repeat,
Going to office, come home
Salaried life bores.
Boring Moment
what a waste of time in class
so boring, no student smiling
everywhere just rowdy
various muffled sound fill the air.
Am feeling sleepy
oh! i want to lie my head on a soft layer
attending to my gracious scalp
I wanna forget this time for a while.
Bad news!, i have to wait for an hour more
I pitied my teacher, cant he see?
student are yawning.
please release us. instead he is frowning
Hun-hun i cant wait to get out of this hole!    @ Samuel
The Boring Teacher
The Boring Teacher
By Elton Camp
Coach Lindsey is an ignorant creep
Who puts all of his students to sleep
Sports is the only thing that he knows
Yet, into the history classroom he goes
He doesn’t know how people did live
And a coherent lecture he can’t give
He can’t tell one Adams from another
Thinks LBJ is Andy Johnson’s brother
That Teddy Roosevelt was after FDR
And that Jefferson drove an Edsel car
That the War of 1812 was against Spain
And that WW II saw sinking of the Maine
Believes Adolf Hitler was the head of Japan
And that Ben Franklin for president ran
The Constitution of the newly-formed nation
Confuses with the Emancipation Proclamation
Gettysburg Address is where the president lives
The Bill of Rights a listing of expenses gives
And yet, tenure good Coach Lindsey has got
So it doesn’t matter if he is ignorant or not
Living Forever Would Be Boring
We love to make things and keep things.
We collect as much as we can,
as if to suggest a certainty
in the length we'll have to enjoy whatever it is.
A lot of bother
about a whole lot of nothing.
And then, like holes that creep inside a jar,
and wind escapes,
and rain seeps in,
we lose it. We always have.
We always will.
I used to watch the ocean for hours on end,
wondering what had been lost in the deep through so much time.
Things loved before they were lost,
things that were held on to,
things that amounted to nothing,
because they lost us too.
It's funny how hard we fight the storm.
I think sometimes,
and more often than not,
it'd feel better just to watch it pass in amusement.
In awe even.
It seems easier, that.
But we almost never do this in the beginning,
until the pointlessness of the fight hits
like a cold hard wind to the face.
Then we finally re-evaluate our priorities.
Mine are simple,
keep a handy bottle of Jack.
And when the time comes that the morning hides her face,
as it will without a doubt,
in the best of all possible worlds,
you could say that having fun
was how you went.
Premium Member A Dead Boring Gift - the Worst Christmas Present Ever
Her father gave her a burial blot
(Not jewellery or clothes or a yacht!)
When Debbie’s interred low
Will they add a gift bow
Still for now it’s a gift she’ll boycott!
I read this article on-line from the ‘Mirror’ newspaper and I couldn’t resist writing a limerick about it.
I would have loved to see her face when she was told what she had been given!
