Author's Notes on "Boring": This particular work is a "Senryu," which is an offshoot of the "Haiku" Japanese poetic form. In this instance, the theme is structured around a common aspect of human nature: When someone chooses to be a "Bore" or is "Boring." This Senryu consists of three lines of the classic 5-7-5 syllabication. However, instead of the expected "three unrhymed lines," I chose (under this author's discretion) to make an "a-b-a" simple rhyme sequence because: (1) I liked it that way, and (2) I thought it sounded much better. Enjoy it!! (Gary Bateman - September 28, 2014)
