Best Beg Poems
White roses grew all along the path of her Mom's garden
As a child she plucked them saying, "Oh, I beg your pardon."
Pretending they were people was a game she'd often play
remembered now as she chose flowers on her wedding day
Bouquet of white roses and forget-me-nots of pale blue.
ivy climbing on the wall. Her Mom would've liked that, too
She clipped each petaled flower from its stem in the garden
Tears fell as she whispered, "Forgive me. I beg your pardon."
White roses and forget-me-nots, she carried in a vase
on the way to church she visited her Mom's resting place
"These flowers are for you, Mom. I picked them in your garden
I'm carrying them today and I asked for their pardon."
As she walked down the aisle and wedding vows were being said
white roses bloomed with forget-me-nots, in the garden bed
Here’s a short story of a cowboy I knew
Whose name was Beg Your Pardon.
He wasn’t a gun slinger in the usual way,
Though his hands were fast
And his foots were faster.
But when Beg started shootin’
There was nuthin’ but disaster.
No worries for Beg, he had none you see,
Since he wasn’t a slinger in the usual way.
But his pappy got ugly
And yelled in his son’s face,
“Until you can shoot
As the son of mine should,
I want you the h*** out of my place.”
Beg had some tricks up his very long sleeves,
Coz he wasn’t a slinger in the usual way.
He’d show his pappy his skill
There’s no doubt about that.
Yet time was a-wasten
So Beg he did hasten,
But first he took off his hat.
He then wound up his body like a Kansas twister
And slung a cow pie in his usual way.
And broke every record
Did our cow pie ringer.
Since there was no one better,
Pappy exclaimed to his son,
“Beg Your Pardon, I beg your pardon
Heck, you’re some kinda’ slinger!”
For Wild Wild West Contest
I ask for your help
I have never been too proud to beg
Beg your pardon
Beg for a morsel of your time
Time to write a different script
Time undertakes my logic
Logic has never been my strongest point
Logic lacks what I need
Need bounces off my equilibrium
Need feeds off yesterday's mistakes
Mistakes I repeat
Mistakes you never seemed to make
Make like a bird and fly away
Make your waves on a different ocean
Ocean line yourself out of here
Ocean spray your inconsistancies
Inconsistancies with a capital C
Inconsistancies I can't see
See me walk
See me run
Run past forward
Run further away
Away from the thing I was
Away from your simple
Simple pleasures
Simple mind
Mind playing tricks on me
Mind over your matter
Matter of facts I didn't understand
Matter converted to energy
Energy that cost too much
Energy we both wasted
Wasted on yesterday
Wasted on nothing
Nothing ever really lasts
Nothing is nothing but a whisper
Whisper insanity in my ear
Whisper until my mind erases you
You have consumed me for too long
You who drip from your empty
Empty cup
Empty promises
Promises I hung my hat on
Promises you never meant to keep
Keep away from me
Keep what I can't have
Have my dreams
Have a cup of my broken
Broken
Dreams
I read Debbie Guzzi's poem and thought I would give the form a try.
Waiting for the world to make sense again
I jump back and forth every now and then
Lush grass and blue sky, but I don’t know
(The world’s too somber for a smile to show)
There’s caution tape on the playground swing
Hard to make heads or tails of anything
In history’s quietest apocalypse
(The world shut it’s doors nary a protest)
And so I’m just sitting here
trying to tame the fear...
In spite of the calls to just wither away
(did you not hear the news today?
so much sorrow and grief,
why don’t you cry? are you not sad?)
As if I should be guilty for feeling glad
(the world has enough trouble,
they don’t need me to add)
Watching it all pass by lighter than a cirrus cloud
(Breathing in the sunshine while it’s still allowed)
I listen to the children laugh and play
Flashes of color to drown out the gray
I know none of it makes sense right now
But it’s all gonna be alright somehow
Just gotta hold on and remember what hope is for
Until the world make sense once more
There’s boys playing marbles
and girls picking April blooms
(Did no one stop to fill their hearts
with doom and gloom?)
Frisbee, tag and somersaults
In the afternoon
They can run and skip
Just like a toy balloon
(did no one tell them
It’s all gonna end real soon?)
There’s people dying on the TV screen!
(close my ears and claim it’s all a dream)
Until the world makes sense again
Toss all of your cares into the wind
You can scream the end is near until the cows come home
But I won’t give up my God given right to roam
The birds’ll sing and the sun’ll shine
Until all our sour grapes turn to wine
The world is drenched in unease
and yet here am I
Enjoying the warmth of a spring breeze
with every sigh
All the signs urging us
to rot away and wither
But all the dandelions in the world
beg to differ
Let the orioles sing their soothing songs
Let the cherry blossoms fill your thirsty lungs
All the countless ways to say seize the day.
To tell the truth...
...the world never made much sense anywaY
Let me express my feelings
Let me tell you a true tale
So, my husband has a "gift"
One I can't quite tell
He has his sly fox ways
Of getting what he wants
For if it isn't his way
His ways are full of taunts
He begs and begs and pleads
Honey, baby, dear
I want to hold you close tonight
I want to feel you near
Sometimes I say ok
But others it's too hot
But before the night is over
I end up in his spot
How is that he could argue
with me after such a night
Over a piece of paper
That was strictly in HIS sight
I know he has bad days
Trust me, I have mine too
I guess he can make it up to me
"Somehow" we'll make it through
-Miranda Lambert-
Put me gently down, on our great, confort-rose
petalled bed.
Brush your lips on mine, warm and cherry red!
The gentle clock of time, breathes ever so softly
into the Springtime night.
Of our beautifully choreographed lovers samba
of sensual might.
To create a child born of love’s grand, memorable
Arcadian continued history.
To bring into this world a magical offspring
To bless this world with tender, loving, mystery.

I already miss the summer grapes
so sweet and succulent to taste
chill infringes the Autumn night
bringing forth added layers
to the satin already slid on top
slip in close
where whispers beg
lay upon my warmth
holding dreams hostage
wrapped meticulously
in every crease and edge
hypnotized a desire's bred
nothing more needed said
still one with the night
comfort held ever tight
Somewhere within your silence,
I've become a nomad,
wandering helplessly around
the barren desert you've created,
hopelessly searching
for the illusive mirage that you've become.
Yet all I see is the vast sunlit horizon,
that I'll never reach.
It's all in your hands now,
I am just a broken soul aimlessly wandering.
I beg you,
show me your mirage,
let me bask in it's beauty,
let me hear the tender sounds
of your poetic waterfall,
and let me be healed,
by your gentle, cool, calming breeze,
flowing within my soul once more.
O' lover, I Beg You Give A Reply
O' love this simple truth I now shall pen!
My wounded heart will bleed it out in ink
Our love was beautiful and 'twas no sin
Being without you now is all I think!
O' love where is thy sweetest angel kiss
And the pure joy of thy red blooming heart
I wake at dawn, first thought, your love I miss!
I curse this wicked world we are apart!
O' love why are thy sails without cool breeze
Your soft and gentle touch no longer here
The void, your absence sets me ill at ease!
Midnight darkness cries I must be afraid!
O' love I so miss your dear beautiful voice!
And the gentleness in your nightly touch
Our long, sad separation was not my choice
My dearest angel, do you miss me much?
O' lover, this is my heartfelt reply!
To the breakup letter you sent in June
You said, MY GIVEN ALIBI A LIE
My dear, every song is a sad tune!
O' lover, please, how do I make amends!
And do so when I truly have any guilt!
I fear this now what future now portends!
I want to stab this dagger to the hilt!
O' lover, I beg you give a reply
There is no other true love but you dear!
This time apart makes me feel like I die
I now live nothing but a life of fear!
O' lover, shall I live now matters not!
For life without you is a death sentence
I pledge you, endless love, all I have got!
Let us live love again, with no pretense!
Hold this truth our loving was truly real!
Love my all, it was our beautiful deal!

And I got word from her younger sister the love letter sent to her, she burned without even reading
Such is life, in youth we face many such things. Idid not date again for 7 months.
If, Plead I, Beg I, To Merciful Heart, Dare Write,
Dedicated To Master Poe
If, a master of dark poetry I could be
composing verses that shows Light's truth to be free
in mind's hidden realms, take witnessing midnight strolls
as such the better, Light's greater powers extol
With nary a fear, that Truth ever meets defeat
knowing such verse to many is so very sweet!
Plead I, writer for justice as born I to be
kind of man, brave and true, as stout as an oak tree
as a word warrior, that this wicked world would fear
as poet, with a courageous path true and clear
With nary a fear that, Truth ever meets defeat
knowing such verse to many is so very sweet!
Beg I, blessings be on white paper from black pen
with sweeter hope sent to children, women and men
words set to regale and show how Light's truth prevails
in recounting from those dreams, many darken tales
With nary a fear that, Truth ever meets defeat
knowing such verse to many is so very sweet!
To merciful heart, this deep hope as my sweet goal
knowing well, such would take a sacrificial toll
in doing comes, ills that beset a poet's heart
sacrifice to the better, Light and Truth impart
With nary a fear that, Truth ever meets defeat
knowing such verse to many is so very sweet!
If, plead I, beg I, to merciful heart, dare write
setting Light to Dark fears of mankind's scary nights
will Life this gift again punish as it did Poe
gifting blacken-sorrows everywhere I dare go
With nary a fear that, Truth ever meets defeat
knowing such verse to many is so very sweet!

FORTY-EIGHT VERSES EVENTUALLY CUT DOWN TO THIRTY.
At crushing depths
Titanic rests
Rusticles- like red ice
hang from her corpse
[the excrement of
fathoms deep bacteria]
And now technology
[ undreamed of when it was needed]
peers at her
[long submerged wreckage]
from slick sub-like vessels
taking computer generated
photo mosaics
[for investigators to pore over.]
Once, mystifying questions
are un-layered one by one
from evidence locked
within her tortured skeleton,
revealing
[ not the simple impact of an iceberg]
sealed her fate]
but rather, a 'series of happenings',
[without remedy.]
Rivets with 'too much slag'
gave way
letting in Atlantic's weight
Her belly full,
she hugged her center keel
[in futile efforts]
to keep bow and stern connected.
As she sank, into eternity,
chambered cells,
[once meant to prevent
the onslaught of the sea,]
were swiftly breached
Sea weight tore her
great- ship's-soul asunder,
and sinking to the sea's dark floor,
she took with her,
poor forsaken passengers
[crying in disbelief ]
at the cruel and lying 'myth.'
See sawing down,
the broken stern end
speared, into fathoms deep mud,
the bow rails stayed intact
[for all the ghosts
to lean on ]
And with the solving of
her final hours,
it is unthinkable,
that this rusticled specter
[once so full of mystery]
had been declared to be
'unsinkable.'

Beg Steal Or Borrow...Live For Tomorrow
Metallic gray skies...the fledgling dies
Winter grieves...tainted leaves
Severed hand...barren land
Empty farm...sound alarm
Rotting hay...horses astray
Fractured horn...plough forlorn
Dried up stream...forsaken dream
Beg steal or borrow...live for tomorrow

What is my hope in this life?
Without You, under the skies, there’s only hell.
To You, O Lord, I beg and sigh!
Rejections, taunts, helplessness, all kinds of strife,
People, homes, values, all things in peril,
What is my hope in this life?
You expose my heart to tempests; I cry
In deep anguish, I beseech and kneel -
To You, O Lord, I beg and sigh!
Stir my heart to seek You; let not my spirit dry,
For with your absence in this tough duel -
What is my hope in this life?
My little mind cannot equal your wisdom so high,
Amid confusion I am a wondering, wandering fool,
To You, O Lord, I beg and sigh!
Helping grace and love you will abundantly supply;
Under the heavens - will be glory eternal.
What is my hope in this life -
To You, O Lord, I beg and sigh!

**Inspiration from Romans 8:35-39 "...Nothing can separate us from the Love
of God..."
This poem is offered to the people of Iraq ( the Yazidis and other minorities)
going through persecution. Let us pray that they may have the strength to
face all the adversities confronting them as God envelops them with His
immense love and mercy.
If you allow me to charm you still,
Till the end of my time’s, until
I feel your longing, love and fill
Your heart soul and mind, to thrill
You are my only thoughts and to fulfil
You with my charms, I beg you will.
