Best Banks Poems
Dancing in space
Waltzing in the universe
Pirouetting on cloud banks
Aah yes
Come with me
Let’s dance together
Ancient flute notes echo
Amidst starshine and lost memories
I feel you there beside me
Peeking around planets
Your eyes seeking me out
Our fibers entwined
Through passion and loss
Our unspoken words
Spun like gold thread
Around our bleeding hearts
An inhale ~ a memory
Meeting you in the ocean
Immersing ourselves in blankets of mist and fog
Lavender foam adorned with turquoise sparkles
Glinting off wave tips
My nakedness enveloped
Salty tears
My mouth open
Searching for you
I walk through time
Through walls of water
The waves part
As I find my way
Inward
Onward
To the sacred place within
I feel the air ~ quiet now
My fingertips sense my surroundings
I smell your heartbeat
In darkness my palms touch yours
A vibration of heat
Of laughter
Of knowing
Of ancient memories
Coupling our souls
Forever
The Banks of Serenity
Under the trees and on the river
Here I find my rest
No voices beckon or holler here
It’s just silence of the water
The Willows bend towards love
The Oaks stand sturdy like men
And here I paddle my little boat
Away from yanks of mayhem
Here in my vessel along side
A pad of paper and stylets
Drawing the river banks foliage
Writing sonnets on summers eve
Knowing my trip of peace ~ ends
As soon as I dock in a few yards
And the bustle and echoes repeat
The voices return to anchor
Me to The Earth again
But, tomorrow will come soon
With another journey alone
My vessel will be filled again
Gliding the serene river of mine
Found on the banks of Serenity
Stopping anxious time

I long to traipse across lavender heathered hills
and look across the North Sea as a winter wind chills.
Again, to dwell in a cottage, nestled in a green glen
or traverse Scotland's burns, I yearn. Do ya ken?
Years ago I sat upon Loch Lomond's misty banks
and to the beautiful Highlands I offered my thanks
for rugged terrain, lowlands and plains, and Aberdeen.
Haunting bagpipe songs, leaves me feeling serene.
My heart longs to wander free as I stand and listen
to gulls over the Hebrides while Atlantic waters glisten.
There's a stirring deep within my heart and my soul
to wear my clan's plaid and upon Ayr Beach to stroll.

If time were currency, the markets would thunder~
seconds sold at sunrise, minutes bought at dusk.
Would the rich wear hourglass cuffs, their palms full of sand?
Would moguls hoard eternity in vaults of will?
If time were currency, the markets would stall~
seconds faltering at the altar of the inevitable end.
Would beggars clutch crumbs of twilight?
Would the wretched fold their hands, praying for a minute to survive?
If time were currency, ruthless time smugglers would flourish~
stolen seconds and rusted gears bootlegged, hidden in their pockets.
Would a grief-stricken widow purchase one final glance?
Would a remorseful thief return his first mistake?
If time were currency, time bankers would be ecstatic~
our seconds and unspent days bartered for kindness.
Would an abused wife purchase a moment of random kindness?
Would a cancer patient trade her kindness for a cure?
If time were currency, would we...
...be cognizant of clocks with hollow hands and hourglass smugglers?
…hoard the dawn, stuffing our pockets with moonlight spilling between the blinds?
…learn to spend time wisely before the last invoice of our soul is paid?

Enigmatic SOUPER STAR--Only you know who you are.
Since we first met you've come so far.
Diamond Darling of the SITE--Soul on Fire--Never TRITE.
Your varied edges cast Blue light.
Our BIRTHDAYS are the same--
You share my Pretty Sister's Name.
A tease of Fate?...perhaps--She loves to play her games.
Friends here easily let me go--But with you I always know--
We'll always call each other friend.
Unwavering friendly Soul Mates to the end.

You are Secretive like the color Blue;
My mind wonders when it comes to you.
Shadows that happen fast,
and still your KNOCKING~@$$
Yes, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me and you.
We are what I call... "MAGIC OCTOBER BLUE!"
What a treat my son * my brother, RANK with the same name Frank.
We work hard Pleasing ~ Captivating and Robbing the same bank.
You hide it well & keep smiling through all the pain,
Not letting no one near the rain.
A thousand falls, a thousand calls,
Than he or she' wonders, why your back is against the wall!
Trust will only come, through the same disguise.
You are a True Friend,- Who's more than meets the eye!

drop a penny in the slot, drop it in the hole
”penny saved, penny earned” also “good for soul”
my first piggy bank
was tough like a tank
until a hammer withdrew the whole
Why People Rob Banks
By Elton Camp
Let’s say that I’m a robber and knock over a store
I might get a hundred bucks, but not likely more
Or I decide that I will mug some guy on the street
I never know when it’s a gun-toter I might meet
If I should so foolishly stick up the big box store
Then I wouldn’t be able to shop there anymore
And then, if I break into some rich dude’s place
Both a burglar alarm and a bad dog I might face
If robbing a bank I’m not taking any personal cash
It’s not likely anyone angrily against me will dash
The bank doesn’t want to risk its customers shot
There’ll be little or no resistance as likely as not
But to know the main reason doesn’t take a whiz
People rob banks since that’s where the money is
The last time, I looked at my checking account,
I saw a colossal bunch of zeroes, six figures,
With a zero in front of the other numbers;
I had zero interest credited to my account.
I started laughing, I started to count
The zeroes. I said to myself, let pretend
That I was B. Gates or Buffett, with all of their billions;
Dreaming ostentatiously large in a foreign land,
Where my shoes sunk in a box full of onions.
(I must confess that money has a funky smell,
Just like a sweaty accountant who has not showered
For days, or a stressful peddler without a daily sale.)
I was on cloud nine - dreaming and
Hallucinating. I was chilling out on the sand,
And living care free like a happy vagabond,
Like an audacious and brave actor named James Bond
On vacation. Suddenly, I began to realize that zeroes
Can have different meanings, and being rich
Or poor is a state of mind. The beach
Is full of bathers, folks and foes,
Who are pretending, and who see things differently.
The nomad with his zeroes is maybe
Happier than D. Trump, who owns innumerable casinos;
Not everyone looks at money the same way.
My zeroes have a special meaning.
The billionaires are spacing, worrying,
Earning HUGE interests and avoiding penalties,
So they can keep their amenities.
What they don’t realize is that one day,
All of them will be counting zeroes like me,
Because once they die away,
Their estates will grab all of the money,
And the properties; meanwhile the exquisite women
Will shed tears the same way,
The turkeys frown in the heat of the oven.
The last time, I looked at my checking account,
I said quietly to myself, “Let the jerks count.”

On the grassy banks of a woodland stream
I heard the melodic warbling of birds in flight
as I basked in the warmth of sunlight's gleam
where oaks and maples reached great height
I heard the melodic warbling of birds in flight
A breeze whispered to me on that day in Fall
where oaks and maples reached great height
It called her name, Adrianne; a love I recall
A breeze whispered to me on that day in Fall
Each waft held fragrance of her jasmine hair
It called her name, Adrianne, a love I recall
I walked this winding path with my lady fair
Each waft held fragrance of her jasmine hair
She was in my arms again, as we swayed
I walked this winding path with my lady fair
Sweet memories of Adrianne will never fade.
She was in my arms again, as we swayed.
As I basked in the warmth of sunlight's gleam,
Sweet memories of Adrianne will never fade
On the grassy banks of a woodland stream.

BANKS!
-Dharga Nagar Safa
Two Banks,
No customers,
The river banks!
Thanks Banks,
For being there,
When I’ve got an hour to spare,
To stay on hold without a care,
Thanks Banks!
Thanks Banks,
I’d like to know,
Why you’d let my new card go,
To a place I moved from years ago,
Thanks Banks!
Thanks Banks,
You cut me off,
Your service skills just make me scoff,
Forgive me if my cap won’t doff,
Thanks Banks!
Chorus
Banks! Banks! Let us all do away with banks
And their dirty tricks and their silly pranks
Banks! Banks! They mean very little to me
If I was the king all banks will be history
If I was the king all banks will be history
If I was the king all banks will be history
Verse One
Banks are stingy
Banks are greedy
They steal from the needy
Banks never give but they love to take
If your friend is a bank
He will rob you before you wake
Only fools bail out the banks
Because I will rather take my money
They sold me worthless shares when my day was sunny
With the hope that one day I will lick from the bank’s honey
Now my day is rainy and I don’t think it is funny
I would never buy those shares I rather buy an Easter bunny
Only foolish kings bail out the banks
I rather bail out a pauper
The economy is going bad
While my people are left to suffer
Beware of the banks and the evil that they do
Today it is me but tomorrow it may be you
Chorus
Banks! Banks! Let us all do away with banks
And their dirty tricks and their silly pranks
Banks! Banks! They mean very little to me
If I was the king all banks will be history
If I was the king all banks will be history
If I was the king all banks will be history
Verse Two
Bank! Banks! They can never be your friend
Today they are collecting your money
But you are broke
They say see you later Sunny
Beware! Beware! Beware!
When a bank tells you sign here
They will take everything you have
Including your underwear
Is it your bit of filthy magic?
To trade with a bank may be tragic
Shrewd little goldsmith demanding for gold
And any item of value
Or anything he could see or hold
Bald headed money lenders demanding for a pound of flesh
You can take the meat from his cheek
But remember that no blood must spill
Banks don’t care they will rather kill
Take off his damn head off with a sharp edged steel
Deducting money from my account bill bill bill
Banks are the biggest thieves because the love to steal
Banks destroy the economy and they never heal
Banks will charge you money for a rotten potato peel
Banks! I hate banks!
They say can I borrow you some money
I say no thanks
Banks! Banks! Let us all do away with banks
And their dirty tricks and their silly pranks
Banks! Banks! They mean very little to me
If I was the king all banks will be history
If I was the king all banks will be history
If I was the king all banks will be in misery
banks overflow (4)
flooding businesses and homes (7)
stream shows who’s boss (4)
they used to store our funds
fatten ‘em into rotunds
but when interest
got sliced the thinnest
their funds got fat, ours got shunned
All Banks-
In interest,
To invest in interest!
