Do You?

Do you like to party
Drink Tequila and Bacardi
Shouting lyrics to songs
Guzzling beer from bongs

Do you like to dance
Pelvic thrusting at every chance
Giving girls your card
That says Napoleon Bonaparte

Do you like grassy lands
Holding on with both your hands
Praying for your drunken soul
As the Earth spins out of control

Do you like to drive
Going fifty-three in a thirty-five
Telling cops you can’t be arrested
Because you might be dyslexic

Do you like to call home
Collect on your new cell phone
Begging for a second chance
Because Bubba has no pants

Do you like to party
Drink Tequila and Bacardi
Giving your keys to friends
Because karma has no end

Do you?

Mama Mia!

Ill at ease
Bacardi and coke,sipping,
Ripping a pal
She smokes a cigar
Feels out of sorts
Full of retorts.
But under the front]
She bears the brunt
She wants to be home.

Her man, so decent
Works hard
So recent.
Reached an understanding
To be non-demanding
Reached a peak
Decided to speak
Discuss the issues
Spare the tissues
It's good, not bad
No more jack-the-lad
He's the sun
He's the one.

Suddenly she knows
In the midst of the show
That she's loved...she feels
That her life is real.
She is a wife
She has a real life
She remembers the times
The nursery rhthmes.

Mama Mia's a blast
But see what will last
It's good to remember, good to dance
But life is real
Life is still a romance.

As A Poet, The Importance Of Truth

I wrote all that sunny day and all night
About love, life, also humanity
Not every day was sunny and bright
Nor do I lie to appease my vanity
This wicked and deadly world eats its own
As midnight oozes into break of day
I try my best not to be hard as stone
And wake at dawn to fight the morbid gray
That seething darkness that tries to sneak in
And those sad little blues that fight to come
I face this dark world with truth and a grin
On occasion I drink Bacardi rum
I was a farm boy, my morals are fine
I reserve Sunday for church to attend
I walk straight, truth is my favorite line
Truth is, I never abandon my friends.

I wrote all that sunny day and all night
About love, life, also humanity
Not every day was sunny and bright
Nor do I lie to appease my vanity.

Premium Member Old Havana It's You I Miss

Old Havana it's been a long, time,
since I felt your love.
Your warm oceans, and island breeze,
Is never enough.

You soothe my soul with your calming seas,
and your soft raindrops, make me
feel at ease.

I can see Mr Hemingway sipping on Rum.
Writing away, till the morning sun.

There are fiestas and tourist
in the market square.
Old Havana, Please take me there.

The Cuban people always so
kind.
On this little island, time left behind.

Antique cars from a different past.
Old Havana, when you were your
best.

There is Spanish cooking in the
air.
The smell of fried plantains, and
Chorizo everywhere.

Senora will you have this dance
with me?
Cuban rhythms we enjoy, dancing in
the streets.

Her eyes are dark and her skin so tanned,
I wish this moment to never end.

The blue ocean beckons us for a swim,
savoring these waves, serenely rolling in.

A glass of Bacardi rum to ease my mind,
wishing to savor this moment, for a long
long time.

Listening to a Salsa Cuban Band
by the ocean.
While watching the sunset sinking and
touching our inner emotions.

Old Havana , please welcome me.
It is you my love, I've waited so long
to see..

On That Night

Location: My oldest daughter’s house
Date: 2008 - 7 months after her death
Age: 59 years old, feeling more like 80
Event: Traditional Christmas Eve party
Emotional status: It was finally sinking in...
and so it was that:

Like most we wandered and wavered
and fell for the Devil's wily ways
But not on that night...
On that night all sins were forgiven
Curses dissolved into blessings
Tension melted in the glow of good will
Evil evaporated in the light of truth
Death succumbed to life...

Hugging our sons and our daughters
gently scolding wayward grandchildren
sipping on Eggnog spiked with Bacardi
slapping old friends on the back
bragging and telling tall tales
laughing hysterically at our lies

On that night there were no missing pieces
On that night the wounded world was healed
On that night, on that one blissful night
it all made sense...

Harsh Light

She walks in to the disco
Feeling pretty hot
Glances from the others
Tell her that she’s not.
Killer heels do just that
Lips a cupid bow
Drops her Prada handbag
Wrinkles start to show.
Downs a quick Bacardi
Drinking makes her bold
Confidence is growing
Away from her cuckold.

Geezers in the corner
Laugh into their pints
Quick one round the back
Better than a fight.
Twenty each, bet is on,
First one out the door
Get another round in
Won’t take long for sure.
Lads all start to cheer him
Barely heard above the beat
Sweat pours down his forehead
Glass beneath his feet.

Heads off to the ladies
Startled by harsh light
Best friend at her side
Two cougars in the night.
She looks into a mirror
Mascara down her cheeks
Wipes her eyes, full of doubt
The company she seeks.
Another bottled Breezer
The pain will go away
Think about tonight
How to make him pay.

First attempt, chat her up
Give out some on blarney
Flashy car, lots of cash,
Time spent in the Army.
Down in one, more to drink
Atmosphere is cool
Muscle flex, turns her nose
Starts to feel a fool.
Offers her a lift home
Does she want a ride
Drop off by the station
Should she keep her pride.

Love bite on the shoulder
Hopes it can’t be seen
Stomach churns with sickness
How stupid she has been.
Gets home Sunday morning
Feeling really cheap
Clock shows 4 am
Really needs to sleep.
Old man in drunken stupor
Whisky glass beside
Slithers into bed
Sleep is where she hides.

Later in the day
She’ll be chatting on the phone
Talking of the weekend
How she was not alone.
Was it really worth it
It doesn’t solve a thing
Bitter clouds descend
Floor begins to spin.
On the other side of town
Down another street
A wife is full of tears
Her husband is a cheat.

Drinking My Way Through the Abcs

Apple pucker gets things started.
Bacardi Limon, with Sprite of course.
Cactus Juice, on the rocks.
Dirty mother, one of my Kahlua faves.
Eggnog, now even more so my Christmas fave.
French Connection, takes me to France for next to nothing.
Gin and tonic, just to try it.
Hypnotiq, I'm hooked on it.
Incredible Hulk, he'll tear you up.
Jack Daniels, my new best friend.
Kahlua, add it to coffee...mmmm mmmm good.
Long Island Iced Tea, one is not enough for me.
Malibu and Coke for an island escape.
Nuttini, the only martini that I will touch.
Ouzo, Greeks can keep this for themselves, I wouldn't mind one bit.
Pina coladas, problems soon forgotten.
Quince liqueur, if I have the time.
Rusty Nail, the kind I don't mind if I encounter.
Sex on the beach, now that's always fun.
Tequila one, tequila two, tequila three, tequila floor.
U-238, the only bomb I wanna be blown away by.
Velvet Hammer, can pound on me anytime.
Whiskey, Irish whiskey, preferably...goes down smooth, doesn't burn.
***, the Molson that will wreak havoc with my head.
York Peppermint Patty shot when my breath needs refreshing.
Zima, for something to break the ice.

The Holiday Blues

I have the holiday blues,
I have to choose
Should I stay or should I go,
Can't afford to loose
This crazy holiday blues
Have me ordering new shoes
Researching the travel news
Craving for some sea breeze
Dreaming of laying in the hot sun
Drinking Bacardi and Rum
Listening to Soca and it's drum
Got to make that income so when I travel
I will be welcome

Premium Member Addicted Part 2

It came back around and said, "I know you like to party."
He gave me a red cup, a little Coke, and Bacardi.
The Devil working hard, attaching himself to my body
He's scratching and clawing.
The work of my Angel, my Angel who has fallen
Firery halo, I get weak, then I'm calling.
Bottles and weed, a black to soothe the thoughts
I am already happy, But I need to do and be with something that would keep me off my knee's
A life I choose to keep me at peace when I feel like nobody loves me
Or is it just me?
When will I become free?
Addicted to you and me
Into my own mind, some crooked thoughts, and my own body.
The spliff is killing my eyes, shutting down every inch of my body.
"But you like to party."
Disrespecting Gods body
Forgive me, Lord, but this depression is acting naughty, and I have to kill It.
But now I am addicted.
Now my whole world shifted.
On a full train with the same gifted
We especially high headed to a place where half-baked lives.
I'm cooked out, and I want out.
Please tell me where my escape is
This is all killing me, and nobody knows it.
I might overdose

Premium Member She's the Boss Applesauce-2

I just went to my work's Christmas party
I got drunk on some rum with Bacardi
Told my boss, to go get lost
Said, "I'm the boss, Applesauce"
Then, she fired me for being a smarty

I went home, told my wife, I retired
She said, "don't lie...I know you were fired"
Said, Applesauce...I'm the boss
Never tell me...to get lost
Now go back- 'cause you've just been rehired

' Boot-Legged Mama '

Mama and Daddy was always Love-Dovey
She is His Sweetheart – He is Her Honey
First Love… Real Love - Forever True
Pa… I Pray to find A Man Like You…

Daddy Laughed and Put His Arm Round My Shoulder
And Said, “I’ll Tell You Somethin’, Now You’re Older
It’s got to do with Your Mother’s Fame
And Why I gave Her, The Nickname…

               … Boot-Legged Mama

                  Boot-Legged Mama
Blue-jean Shorts and Vintage Tony Lama
Walked thru the Door… of A Liquor Store
… Packaged so Pretty… Pa Just had to Pour

               … Boot-Legged Mama

Ma… Was there, to get 6-packs for A Party…
Pa… Was there, ‘cause of a Taste for Bacardi
He took One Look and Knew He Couldn’t Waste Her
Pa… Gave-up ‘Drank’… Just so He Could Chase her !

Dad, Said, ‘He’d Drowned in Dark-Eyes and Sweet-Aroma
Fine-Wine, Crystal… But Tuff’ Nuff’ to Down-Drama
Pa Claims, Mama’s Labeled by the F.D.A.
And Listed on Her Driver’s License is, A.K.A. …

               … Boot-Legged Mama

                  Boot-Legged Mama
Genuine Woman, Who Made Him Wanna’
Take Her to be His Lawful Moonshine
… Married at Midnight – ‘cross The County-Line

               … Boot-Legged Mama

Alcohol’s in Trauma; and Prohibition Told Her:
"Boot-Legged Mama… Done Drove Pa Sober !"
Now, Homemade-Hooch… is His Acquired Taste
180 Proof… Kicked All Over His Case !

Right Then, Mama Flowed into The Room
Pa, Teased and Said, “Still Full-Bodied and Perfumed !
Ma Hugged Us, then Handed Me – Old Boots and A Dress…
(and good advice)… “Go Git’ My Elliot Ness…

               … and be a Boot-Legged Mama!

( Hey !... Did I Hear Somebody, In A Country Drawl ….
Order Up A Bottle of Kicking Alcohol !
         Well, Here She Is… Y'all ! ...
                  Boot-Legged Mama ….

Well John (Moses) Freeman... You Said You Needed
Somethin' :) to Read tonight, before kicking up your
heels... Well, Here It Is (Have Fun - Son)

Floating Vibes

Truly truly high in the sky
These bars written softly
Flow smooth like a lulaby
On the wings of a dove float on by.

Born with a metalic shield
The heart is the weapon but I didnt wield
Keepin it in my chest each day concealed
Negativity smashed straight to the backfield.
See I dont lie those doubters sigh
Its my style makes their heads fry.
Compelling me to cry with laughter
That im still saying this years and years after.
I first stood on stage the crowd roared my name
I'm who they love king of the rap game.
This years no better my bars still tight
I sell out venues night after night.
Social media I'm immune to your kryptonite
Like Sheen in Platoon I fire dynamite.

Truly truly high in the sky
These bars written are so fly
Flow so smooth like a lulaby
On the wings of a dove float on by

This is where i belong all along
Sing along to the chorus of my song.
Dancin with Bacardi till the nights done
So fun m'lady bathing in the summer sun.
Times i thought I should quit
5 million euoros yes I paid for it.
These dollar bills they give me the thrills
Little-big house on the prairie in the Hills.
These dollar bills no they aint concealed
In front ya'll naysayers ya I wield.
Pics on walls Picasso painted
Now truffle on my plate golden tainted.

Truly truly high in the sky
These bars written are so fly
Flow so smooth like a lulaby
On the wings of a dove float on by.
