So many things in our technology
confuse me – my phone particularly!
Worst of all, I cannot text properly.
Although I’m able to type speedily,
I’m having the greatest difficulty
with my cell phone’s keyboard, which is tiny!
My nails are longer now, so awkwardly
I’m clicking on wrong letters and constantly
messing myself up; an eternity
just to send one message it can seem to be.
But what gobsmacks and most bamboozles me
is why my two children cannot seem to see
they would make my life so nice and easy
if they’d just answer when I ring them. Gee!
Can’t they pick up and set my fingers free?

What gobsmacks, bamboozles and confuses me
My answer to that question is no great mystery
It’s men’s complete lack of understanding of women
So let me explain it quite succinctly to them
Guys you should be kind your good lady
Treat her like an adult, and not a darn baby
Women’s minds can be read just like a good book
and if you don’t listen to her, just avoid her left hook!
But PLEASE beware if her monthlies are due,
she may rant and rave and say she hates you.
And if she needs chocolate, she really NEEDS it, okay -
Get to the candy store without a moments delay!
Many issues of women you’ll discover men are the cause
There’s MENtal and MENace and the darn MENopause

What Gobsmacks, Bamboozles and Confuses Me Poetry Contest
What gobsmacks, bamboozles and confuses me is that I place a poem in a contest and it placed the first time. Then, when I went back later to compliment the winners that afternoon and comment on my compliments; my compliments and congratulations and my name in the 1st place were gone, so I got an N/A… Computer glitches do happen it is aggravating, but it does happen. I am glad I had saved my poem. Thank you sponsor for your patience and being a good sponsor.
It astounded me when my husband felt
no pain when he had his first heart attack,
but bumps his toes and I learn an array
of words in high tone that takes me aback.
It's innate when my dog does a ditty
chasing a kitty in a speeding match,
but when he confronts it he wants to play.
Kitty hisses and draws it’s claws to scratch.
My son's sense of humor was decidedly quirky;
they all pushed and gave each other encouragement
I never knew what to expect from my turkeys.
Their poor wife’s now face the embarrassing moments.
