A field overlooking
an arbor of jasmine
where butterflies play
midst the fragrance of love
Bluebonnets smile
as they hide from the clover
that bask in the sun
from the heavens above
Blissful, we stroll
down a pathway concerto
as melodies whisper
from sycamore trees
Lyrics returning
each echo of springtime,
when daffodils danced
in the harmonic breeze
Holding your hand
neath the shade cast of morning,
while rose petal kisses
now scatter the lawn
Breathing the air
filled with smiles and laughter
as clouds wander by
at the edge of the dawn
And I with my heartbeat,
stare off in the distance,
embracing the wonder
with arms open wide
Out here in a field
overlooking an arbor,
where dreams all come true
with my love by my side
Winterberries hang overhead
With which arbor hold delightful red.
Wind upward warmth thread;
Winged fairies wed, fluttered, and fled.
Have you hugged a tree today?
If you haven't, then you should.
It doesn't take a lot of time,
And might do you both some good.
A hug's a way to show you care
Without spending lots of dough.
Just be careful where you place your hands…
Some trees are ticklish, you know.
Arbor arch purple wisteria
Brings reborn memories blooming
Colors of rainbows bursting
Delights of garden
Enduring sacred mission of honeybees
Oh, Nature’s spree, your artistic scene exceeds!
Quaint the plash of paints upon the frilly bloom
hued with sunrise splash in skies as night recedes,
lush your brush, alive with rays and pinkish plume.
Artsy petals feed her fashionista needs
draped in shades of goddess dawn, not moony gloom.
O, jealous moon, remember jasmine’s ardor.
Flaunt, rose of Sharon, posed beyond the arbor.

Mary’s arbor is adorned
with white petal tresses
and twists of heritage roses
that wander wistfully upwards
with perfumed breezes
that waft in luxurious languor.
Sweet scents woo hummingbirds
to sip its pistil delights
while monarchs fly in to play
then zigzag away
where restless bees hum and indulge
to a distant tune…
…in a place where sunlight
happily winks
with unfettered delight.

On some back road in Texas
Where time had flown away
Sat a dreamlike Kinkade home
Of warmth and heart, not paint,
With shaded walkway arbor
Crowned with leaves and flowers.
Love dwelt there.
A lovely little couple,
Long past their youthful prime,
Welcomed us into their home
With bright and cheerful smiles
Saying, “We over-ripe grapes
Are now in raisin time.”
Love was there.
Our afternoon was blissful
Midst rose and hollyhock
Seated near a lily pond,
A lotus eater’s dream,
With tea, crumpets, clotted cream
And conversation sweet.
Love shared there.
We bade farewell at even
With smiles, and hugs and tears
To Pop Vin and Auntie Mae.
A stooped for sale sign wept
For the home they would depart.
The pair smiled even so.
Love held on.
One later year we passed by
Under a searing sky
That burned up cornfields nearby
Their home worn and withered
As grapes long past raisin time.
Wistfully we knew why:
Love had gone.
Arbor of Wisteria and Clematis
Memory of appealing Wisterias
Uncovering the grand butterfly bush;
near the lilacs and lonely gardenias;
as the light essence of spring bring a rush.
little fairies dance like faux ballerinas
autumn's pussy willows now but a hush
that coldness felt deep during winter's wrath.
The equinox whispers from a warmer path
Pumpkins and gourds sitting by the corn husks.
this and a tasty Thimble-berry creme pie.
a perched crow sits on the arbor at dusk;
watching for the owl with a wary eye
freshly turned garden smells of molds and musk
Canada geese fly north through a morning sky
A rooster sings his song with emphasis
shaking the wisteria and clematis.

i abhore for
my neighbor is
imploring who is
better to serve the
gardener and
so the people on
the board and are
said to say no more
but wild animals
herbivores and
the like of
these
flee and i've found
more rabbits
when i come
home from
work hopping
in the dark
as i arrive
around
midnight hoping
not to see said
neighbor's
cat
THROUGH THE ARBOR
Ahh! A group of trees
Inculding woodland, woodlot thicket stand
so amazing
through the arbor
through the arbor
through the arbor
through the arbor
we will be walking together endlessly, we will be walking together endlessly, we will be walking together endlessly, we will be walking together endlessly,
we will be walking together endlessly
I see visions of grandeur, grandeur
I see visions of many trees grandeur
through the arbor
through the arbor
through the arbor
through the arbor
I see visions of grandeur, grandeur
I see visions of many trees grandeur
Many different trees varity of leaves
You and I running through those falling leaves
Many different types of beautiful trees
So many visons, beautiful trees in the arbor
We'll be dancing merrily
through the arbor
through the arbor
You and I shall plumage through the trees
Laughing holding hands in love
In love with each other we are
Frolicking merrily we will be happy among the trees
through the arbor

Beneath the Arbor
Here on this
melodic morning,
blue birds sing
among the trees
Irises
and honeysuckle,
wave good day
upon a breeze
Butterflies
on tulip petals,
softly float
a lemon sky
While we kiss
beneath the arbor,
as the sunrise
wanders by
Good morning Soupers
Arbor Landing Is Expanding
Memories always occur in the past
And forever they will last and last
May be picture of someone you love
Who has gone to heaven above.
In album somewhere you do save
A picture of your parents grave
As a reminder of times gone by;
All of us eventually soon do die.
Will walk or play cards together
Regardless of what kind of weather;
Now we know what they meant;
God from past to us memories sent.

Arbor Landing Introductory Poem
Poetry Revisited visits them on the 2d Sunday

My heart and nature both were demanding,
That my archaic body go to Arbor Landing;
A perfect place where you will want to be,
And best in world between you and me.
Whenever you want can be cute and clever
Connection with never ever want to sever;
People often go through a period of denial
Arbor Landing's wonder so give them a trial.
From first time after entering front door,
Arbor Landing will want more and more
Quickly message becomes loud and clear
Problems and worries soon do disappear.
Why thought and idea continue to combat
There now was easy not hard as all of that
Like woeful WalMart won't have a long line;
Arbor Landing at last is mine and all mine.

Poems for adults section
The holiday has arrived
The cheery festival of Tu'Beshvat
Concern for nature's gifts
lives on amongst
the Jewish people
I recall an old cherry tree
behind my home
I was saddened
when they finally
cut it down
The gifts of nature
should not be regarded lightly
Le us rejoice
and feast on
dried fruits, almonds and figs
We will enjoy
this Jewish Arbor day
Shalom, yes shalom
at this joyous time
in the Jewish year
Let's hope the world understands
the nature of this holiday
we should all
pause for a moment
to take joy in nature's bountiful
banquet
I think I should have
Been born a tree -
- Maybe a silvered birch
With feather veined
Leaves -
- I could greet
My tall reflections
That swim saintly inside
The nearby streams -
- Or a lofty, leafy oak,
Crying slow orange tears in autumn
And being a shoulder
For solemn lonely birds
To cry on -
- It has been said
That I always had my head in the clouds.
