Maybe I’d be happy if I had a swimming pool
Maybe I’d be happy if only I looked cool
Maybe I’d be happy if I won the lottery
Maybe , just maybe, well maybe.
Maybe I’d be happy if I owned a flashy car
Maybe I’d be happy, if I was a music star
Maybe I’d be happy if I was someone else but me
Maybe, just maybe, well maybe.
Maybe I’d be happy if my eyes were emerald green
Maybe I’d be happy if my weight could not be seen
Maybe I’d be happy if I could truly say I’m free
Maybe, just maybe, well maybe.
Maybe I’d be happy, is a somewhat hopeful phrase
Maybe I’d be happy simply needs to be appraised
Maybe I am happy but fail to ever see
Maybe, just maybe, well maybe!

'Tis off to the races now that homeschooling has ended.
One half earns for their subsistency,
other half learns about delinquency.
Be they friends and their best efforts were suspended.
Tale spring muses as the anticipant's
appraised specifies traditional hopes

Missteps venture the wide-eyed sneeze, and runny nose
a caption reads, "This be the Time.", gone are

to acknowledge them, minus their star.
Bloom's wilt and hues fade know not the hour caused,
advents trending acquisitions neglect closure
but fail to end the brotherhood of friends exposure.
halls went silent the schoolyard empty, turned men paused.

Behind a gauze of softest grays
In a sky of baby blue
The moon in waxing gibbous phase
Rises slowly into view
She rests her cheek upon the haze
Of stratus thin and few
For so content is she to laze
As a goddess is wont to do
A precious gem to be appraised
A pearl, a treasure true
I feel I should avert my gaze
As dusk arrives on cue
Though mysteriously mute she stays
I still bid her adieu
The moon is set in her old ways
And I in my ways, too.

Howling winds, tranquil mind
As self-appraised
Egoic bind
Howling winds, childlike glee

Bill Shakespeare is wanted for hate speech,
His study’s surrounded with tape.
The local police were slow to react,
He may already have made his escape.
There’s a chance that he’s gone into hiding
To work on the draft of a play;
Anne Hathaway helps with enquiries:
Where’s old Bill? She’s refusing to say.
She cannot abide the intrusion,
As detectives examine each sonnet,
If she pops down the market she wears a dark cape
And hides her face under a bonnet.
She’s missing the warmth of her husband,
His sensitive hands and dark beard.
She hopes that they’ll soon be together
But meanwhile, her dear Bill’s disappeared.
And Bill’s understandably nervous
’Cause writing these plays is quite hard.
He enjoys married life with his beautiful wife
And his neighbours now call him “The Bard.”
The risks of a long legal battle
Could distract him for over a year,
If the courts rule against his linguistics,
That might end his productive career.
This poem references the emotions of fear, hope and love now that historic scripts are frequently re-appraised - and sometimes condemned - against modern norms and expectations.

An idol thought ...
A pair of worn gym shoes was sold for $1.47 million
Those appraised, prized puppies
were formerly Space toe Jam possessed
by a famous athlete
Bet cha’ that wealthy person ain’t buying
a pair of used, musty sneakers
of skid row quality
A dumpster sale item,
which once belonged on the po’ feet
of a homeless, societal discard
That bum rubber smell
won’t Fido fetch
a fraction of the celeb garage sale price
It Scholl must-y be garbage nice
to be so stinkin’ rich
Getting good foot-to-fanny finance advice
Mmm Oblongata observation of the auction absurd

Converse compulsion in the dust of the day
Doggedly defying its din to abate…
For silence surrounds, it has so much to say -
Appraised to be golden, not measured by weight -
Cajoles with the cascade of calm in coy play,
Listen to silence, it has so much to say.

I had a dream to dissolve my body
Into harmony and song.
Not to be appraised course or consequence,
But the ecstasy for which I long.
I’d seen sparks pique, however, now they taunt
Ere each breath, each glare guts me.
I’ve been left to wonder, will passion pass,
Or will destiny cage the free?
Physical facades that guzzled my breath—
I loathed am’rous transactions—
Abandoned me gasping, grasping for air.
Throttled, I lay in satisfaction.
For today I gazed on as swarms of flies
Amassed stale, dead to the floor
Induced, I grin, inhale seriatim
Plaguing every lung, every pore.
For salt and terror could never hatch wood,
And doors are never undone.
Time festered and birthed a derisive spring
Which befell the immolated sun.

Whispers of Light color the Night in lifeless hues
Musical Notes arrayed in soft Quotes for a muse
Filling up Lives with captivating Archives in cues
For moments of Bliss, feels like a Kiss to bemuse
Gentle Insights soften our Sights with pure truth
Creating a Peace that will never Decrease its ruth
Embracing the Heart from the very Start of our youth
Echoing Hopes, finding moral who Copes with uncouth
From the Darkness comes a Starkness that sighs
Words within a Poem, so you Show him who tries
With passions Alive, burning to Strive so they rise
Above the Pains life sometimes Gains before one dies
Faith makes one Wise in another’s Eyes detect grace
That blinds the Soul who is Whole and cannot face
The past that Casts a bitter shadow that Lasts to chase
Black thoughts Around and finally Abound in this place
Loving feelings Abide deep Inside the one who feels
Alive with Compassion that leaves you Ashen from appeals
To be Appraised by those Amazed that love like this seals
The heart with Joy which will Destroy any corrupt ideals

Dunderheads were led into thunder domes. Cats were heaved, therefore rats increased, in incense-sweetened sanctuaries.
Love comes limp.
With our clap-stomp frolic, we shall cure alcoholics, then boost the sensations with wine.
For the next six days, libations appraised at the ABC suit me just fine.
Doubt is a virtue. Shaytan never hurts you. He gives what our tongues cry for. Politely I pass on the communion glass. I was drunk when I came through the door.
I said it before.
He don't look much like me, so he ain't my god's son, yet still, to his feet I run. Though it's mineral rain, that cleans my bloodstains, and my crops are still fed by the sun.
Pardon the pun.
When I point out the finite power of the painting before the pews, I'm treated as someone crass, as you wink at another man's wife in the church, 'cause last night, she done gave you some

I’m left with internal bleeding
I didn’t quite comprehend
What it was that I truly needed
An unwavering loyalty
And deemed it necessary
To be appraised as royalty
But what did you presume this is
An escort service
Because you seem to be
Kind of nervous
Whenever I come around
You countenance turns
To an upside-down smile
What did I ever do
To make you succumb
To the assumption
That I was dumb
For not seeing the signs
Of your persistent misrepresentation
Meanwhile your intentions
Have been camouflaged
It appears my awareness
Was foreshadowed, but it doesn’t matter
Counterfeit? I’m left asking
Will I survive this
Because I decided to take a risk
Of being enamored with a con-man
I should have turned
The other way and ran
To a safer refuge
Your identity was
A major issue
I could not distinguish
What was ever authentic

I often question why we are here
are we pieces to a bigger puzzle
why do we hide these questions from the world,
afraid of rejection, fear?
I often question what it's like to be mute,
observing the world instead of trying to figure it out-
observing people instead of telling them what to do
I often wonder why we are all afraid-
afraid of getting old,
afraid to obtain a new career
afraid of money.
I always wonder why we can't just live at peace,
why does the world dictate who you are-
why can't we just be and that's enough.
Sometimes, I wonder what sort of things keep people going-
whether they are near death or have something traumatic happen
We are all the basis of one thing, human,
we all thrive with love and communication and if it is neglected, we simply can't go on.
Life from a 25 year old is far from difficult,
it's rather an observation-
appraised from a young adult
there's so much life ahead of me,
yet I need some answers first.
I wonder what life would be like if society gave up-
it was up to us to become our greatest
what would happiness be?
